I just moved my Nicobarensis colony into a miniature forest floor terrarium on my channel! This was the perfect video! I just wish my terrarium looked as good as yours!
don't forget that they are nocturnal and most active at night :) so feed them in the evening don't feed them too many sugars, as they will 'forget' getting protein
@@AntHolleufer might be better to remove it yes, you can feed them a drop of sugarwater on a dish or something instead, or give them a feeder for only two evenings in the week
Yours are really brave :) such humongous ants, love ❤️ them. Wobbly leg syndrome is really terrifying 😳 so glad they seemed to settle down. Might sound silly because there not mammals but I found the only way I've ever "cured" wobbly leg syndrome was more heat, kind of like there shivering when they wiggly legs. Most have always died though. Hear these enjoy High temp to like 28.
Yeah it’s sad that she was wobbly 😪 can’t see a dead body yet tho. But yeah the heat is hard to find out. All people say different things it’s insane. Some say no more then 26 others say no less then 26 🤷🏻♂️😅😆
@Ant Holleufer I'll try get ants ramblings to get hold of you, he's been chatting to the people who keep them as natives I think, got some real solid advice, I'm sure he'd shair :)
Lovely looking ants! Very cute. However Im a bit confused at how a colony of only 5 workers and queen is seen as Massive. 🤔 Were you preferring to the size of the ants them self? But then that would clash with the video title. 😕
Camponotus singalarus is such a lovely species, i had them in a natural setup and i noticed that they don't dig in the ground they prefer pre built nest also in nature. There rater lazy than tiered 🤣
dont you think moving them in that quick was abit stupid you have a weak queen thats stressed and you move them into a big open space? should of really left her in the dark for observation
Love it buddy! Knew they’d go for the wood - also massive thank you for the shoutout. I really appreciate you man. ❤️
Haha no problem! It’s was so fun seeing them to straight for the wood! 🤩😄
Amazing video and colony!
Thank you 🙌🏻😄😄
Cool look. I have a colony in my collection.
Nice! Hope they are doing well!
They're beautiful! I love the majors' big red heads.
Yeah they are so pretty 🤩🙌🏻😄
Great video! Good to see them finally in the setup you built with antscapes
Thank you and yeah once of actually quite few “collaborations” now that I think about it. 🤔😄

Oh. 😳🤔 have given them a sugar feeder 🤔should I remove that? But yeah will feed them in the evening 🤔😄 thanks for the tip as always!🙌🏻

Thank you 😄🙌🏻 so happy for the look before I ruined it 😅😪 hopefully it can be fixed!
@@AntHolleufer it will be fine in time just don’t over water it again 🤣
😶😆😆
Wow great video!!!!!
Thank you!! 😄
Can you feed singu sugar water or do they only take nectar and sunburst?
Beautiful ants
Yeah 🤩
Wow nice new ant colony like it👍
Thank you 😄
How are they doing?
Sadly not to well. They where attacked in the big messor escape 😓
Amazing loved it!
😄🤩
Yall' EU residents get it lucky. You guys can import species, in the US you can't ship across state lines. ☹
Yeah it’s very sad that the it’s it how it is. We in Europe is lucky but sadly it’s not like that all over the world 😪😕
Hvor har du fået fårekyllingerne fra?
Plantorama i Hillerød. Ellers kan man købe det på hjemme siden. Monis
@@AntHolleufer øv! Jeg har lige bestilt noget fra Monis i dag. Så skulle jeg jo have bestilt dem med.
How to solve the queen ant shaking problem?
You can’t. Just hope she doesn’t die 😕😪 all you can do is leave her and wait and see😕
But does it mean that shaking queens are gonna die? What are the cause? 0
How is this colony going?
Sadly probably dead 😓
Did this colony survive?
Sadly not 😓 they got attack by another colony after an escape ..
Wait how did they get majors when there's only a few workers???
Like I said in the video antics had quite a few dead workers when he got them so they lost quite a lot 😪
Lovely looking ants! Very cute.

😕
Massive is just because they are big in size them self ☺️😅 so yeah it’s just the workers and queen😄

😆😆 haha yeah makes sense why these went for the wood then. That’s easier 😆
Can I rewatch the stream and weher
Yeah it here in my UA-cam channel just go back 1-2 months ☺️ around 2 hours long 😄
Yeaaaaaaaaa vivarium!
