Really hope Nebraska can turn it around.. as a Michigan fan I’ve been in these shoes before constantly rewatch old classic games remembering what it used to be like. For the greater good of college football I can’t wait until you guys are back. If it feels right go with your gut and he feels like the right choice at head coach.

Agree, our program has been lost since we got rid of Frank. I don't want a big name coach, I want a coach that puts our players first, shows them what it means to be a leader, then we will win games again. Mickey is everything we thought Frost would bring but didn't, Mickey is more like coach Tom

Regardless of who's the next head coach, we need to keep Mickey on staff! He seems like an excellent individual and the kids seem to love him!
I honestly think NU should go with Mickey. He's a Husker, he will get better and the kids seem to play HARD for him. Urban is a mercenary and will go anywhere he wants when he wants. He has not ties to the Huskers that I know of?

I’m so conflicted about this. I love Mickey and I have a feeling he does have what it takes to be a great HC but it’s such a huge risk hiring him with no experience
I think a lot of fans feel that way. Mickey is such a great leader and relates so well with the players, if he doesn't end up getting the HC job, I REALLY hope he is retained by whoever does become the HC. It would be a crime to let him go somewhere else.

Can he win as head coach though? The answer is simple - NO. Get rid of him as HC, if he wants to stay, let him, if not, oh well. If Trev doesn’t bring in an outsider, (a non big 12 coach) the Huskers are doomed!
