Michael was a Bad White Dude! Michael McDonald was a "Soul Man"--"Blued Eyed Soul. Even the Sistas loved his voice. You should check out his other hits: "Sweet Freedom", "You Belong to Me'' (he did two versions of this song (and a real funky version with Chaka Khan), "I Gotta Try" and "On My Own" (duet with Patti Labelle). He put out some dope lead vocals for the Doobie Brothers on "Real Love", " What A Fool Believes", "It Keeps You Running", "Taking It to the Streets". And last, but not least, he did amazing background vocals for another Blue Eyed Soul" artist named Kenny Loggins on Kenny's mega hit, "This Is It". Kenny Loggins did an awesome duet with El De Barge on "I'll Be There". Some of Kenny's other smash hits are: "Heart to Heart", "Love Will Follow" (this is soulful), and "I'm Alright". If you liked Michael McDonald, you will like Kenny Loggins; they collaborated on "This Is It". Glad to see you enjoy and appreciate music from my era.
