Gave it a very American horror story vibe momentarily with all of the chaos, it gives off stressful anticipation with the intensity and everyone rushing around the crowd, evidently waiting for something dramatic to happen.
All the iconic and memorable scenes from this funfair episode (my favourite one). Maddy and Cassie doing molly, Nate and Maddy fighting and then her confronting his family, Rue running around the funfair calling Gia’s name, her realising Jules and Nate’s dad hooked up, Jules and Rue running to each other and hugging, Kat and that random dude she goes and hooks up with, Cassie and Maddy in the hall of mirrors, Cassie on the carousel, the friends on the Ferris wheel... So much shit happens in this episode it’s chaotic, crazy, incredible and captivating - in every sense of the word. It wouldn’t have been the same without this music though, that encapsulates every word above and more, orchestrally like the sounds of a circus or fun fair. It’s incredible.
Rewatching the episode a couple times I noticed it gets heightened at the peak chaotic scenes and when something bad happens it gets very low (mckay and Cassie argue) I love it💜
This song gave me give so much anxiety through the episodes, thinking something bad was gonna happen lol like I thought Nate's dad was gonna hurt Jules
I was hella scared by that shit he literally walked like he was gonna kill her but then he just went like please don’t tell anyone I will lose anything. It really went from 🔪🖤 to 🥺😢
yooo that was me bro. but not just that, the whole damn episode gave me so much fricken anxiety bc it was so chaotic and loud agh- edit 5 secs after posting: and also this song gives me anxiety as well so that didn't help lmao
This scene was beautiful. I loved the characters walking through the crowd and the fireworks going off in the background. Perfect aesthetic for the suspense!
This was such a fun, mischievous, chaotic, evil episode & it wouldn’t have been complete without this beautiful atmospheric masterpiece. I love instrumentals more than vocals. Mood controlling.
YESSSSS! I waited for this and I am delighted at the way it sounds. One of the most intriguing pieces of music ever that stands alone from the drama it sustained. THANK YOU Labrinth and Jen Malone too!
multiple people have already said this but this song perfectly fits the scene. the scene itself is so tense and anxiety inducing and this song on top adds to it
Reminds me of the Magnolia soundtrack, which is fitting, as both that film and this episode expertly weave together several overlapping storylines with Incredible style
I’m in the middle of watching euphoria for the first time and this ep might just be my favorite so far, this track being the highlight!! absolutely love how things escalated with the music being incorporated into it
esatto, si ispira chiaramente al brano Showtime di Jon Brion, così come l'intero episodio prende moltissimi spunti da Magnolia di Paul Thomas Anderson ;)
Episode 4 made me a bit sick, as if i were actually in a crowded carnival. This song only added to the anxiety and the tension. Such a well directed show.
This track made the whole episode even more fun to watch!

This track actually highlights the suspense of the scenes with the flashing minute clips of disaster and intense from the different characters' POV.

Does anyone realise that this one is 10 minutes, that means that this song is like 1/5 of the episode
as it should be
It is beautifully hypnotic and it drove the episode. I was VERY happy when they included the track on the CD.
just realized
and still it’s too little, I would have LOVED an entire episode with this soundtrack lol
The whole funfair scene is about 30 minutes long :) it was pretty amazing, didn't expect it

I like how the music's tempo matches to the tension of the scene and then calms down every now and then to build up to be suspenseful
