@@rundreamachieve thank you!!!! Loving week 1!!! My body feels challenged but I can’t wait for the coming weeks, I’ve never had this much variety in my training so fingers crossed I can achieve my running goals! Thank you!! ❤️
Love it! Really enjoy hearing your wisdom and have tried applying your strategies, hopefully will continue pay off. 63yr and ran 3:29.21 this past June in Duluth after a 3:32 in April Carmel IN. I also try to reflect from each training cycle and marathon race too. Boiler Up!
Just watched your video, I have been training for my next marathon in late march 2023. This will be my second marathon. I want to break my first time (4:40:40). I have been training the last two months. Getting better each week, definitely will check out these courses!
Love this! And you look and sound like Browns HC Kevin Stefanski, with the leadership mentality and even-keeled demeanor he has too. Great points on having tons of volume at that pace. Similar to Hanson's. You can't just be a mileage hog and hope it comes together...
I finally found my problem- allergic reactions to pollen were causing cells in my lungs to release massive amounts of mucus/phlegm which fill my lungs and block the passage of air and oxygen, resulting in dangerously high oxygen debt in my legs and my head. I am gonna try taking some "antihistamines" which are supposed to inhibit these mucus secreting cells over time. Will keep you posted. Praying this works.
Thank you so much for your tips, Nathan! Only by watching your mental toughness videos, I was able to finally race a 10k in pace 5:00 min/km. How long would you say it takes to go from a 10k to half marathon in pace 5:00? (My best and only marathon is pace 5:50 and best half is pace 5:27). For my next marathon, I will for sure sign up for your pro coaching plan! Wish I had known your channel before.
Thanks for your support Ju and glad to hear these videos have been of help to you. Congrats on getting that 10K pace down to 5:00 per kilometer. VERY well done. I couldn't give an exact estimate from 10K to half but if you can do that for 6.2 miles I believe it it possible to run 13.1 miles in under a year at that pace with proper training. Look forward to working with you. Keep me updated.
How accurate do you think the garmin race predictor is for the marathon? I ran 4:11 in April and have another marathon in October. My head is telling me to not pay any attention to this, and just go off feel, but I don't want to go too slow if I'm capable of running faster.
I did a 3:29 in December 2021, I have another one coming up in December 2022 (Honolulu), I was looking at your programs. I think 3:00 might be a stretch but not impossible. Do you think I should be using your 3:00 program or a 3:10 ish program? I was thinking if I use your 3:00 program even if i cant hit the paces during training it figure it would still be beneficial. Thanks, love your videos and advice.
Awesome job dropping that 3:29 in December and best wishes to you as you lead into Honolulu. I think 3:10 is a legitimate starting point and then working toward sub 3 from there. You definitely have what it takes. It is not a matter of IF but WHEN you do this. Keep me posted on you progress and thanks for your support of the channel and rundreamachieve.com
61 years young my guy! The plans are usually 6 days a week. That being said, you can always take one of the easy days and add an additional day off in the place of them. Hope this helps and wishing you continued success Todd. I know you can dip under 3:40!
Absolutely. I ran 2:19 while working a full time job in the military while attending graduate school..all comes down to how badly you truly want it. I see you going well below 3:30. Keep up the superior training.
Is sub 3hr 30 achievable for a first time marathon runner? I did a half marathon last year in 1h 40 and felt pretty good after it, probably could have went quicker or longer but I trained for 20ish weeks for that and training around 28 weeks for the Amsterdam marathon here in October. I'd be happy with sub 4hrs but I do want to push myself and aim for sub 3hr 30

Heey! Thanks for the reply!
Tried getting a TP from your link and it doesn’t seem to be working.. I will try on Google 😊

Superior running David and very well done running 3:29.51 at Grandmas at 63 years young and even after a 3:32? Respect! Boiler Up!
@@rundreamachieve :) Thank you and nicely put Nathan. If you have not run Grandma's, running along Lake Superior is BEAUTIFUL!

I would focus 100% on feel. GRP is just a guesstimate. Take confidence in your training and how you are feeling. I would. Hope this helps.

Thinking about your 3:40 training plan - question how many days per week
I’m turning 61 do better at 5 days

2:19 marathon? I keep getting injured. I ran a half in 2:10 and 3 10ks at 1:00 15

How can I get coached by you? I’m 12 weeks out my second marathon… I would love to get close to 3:30.. I need your guidance @rundreamachieve
Hey FFF. Review the comment I made on the other video. Wishing you the very best in your quest for sub 3:30. I know you can do it.
