what separates SM groups from others in terms of 'noise' is that they don't let a single style limit their possibilities. for most kpop companies, noise music equals edm (or its noisiest sub-genre). on the other hand, you could never put 'i got a boy', 'idea' and 'chain' in the same genre, but at the same time you could consider them all 'noise'. when you put that boldness, versatility and their heavenly vocals together, you get amazing music. their producers know what they're doing and the A&Rs know the brand, it's just the perfect combination. also, 'shalala' by the neo father, lee taeyong, is the epitome of noise to me. a song recommendation for those interested in 'old' noise lol, 'tri-angle' by tvxq, 'I yah!' by H.O.T., and Shinhwa's discography also has some noise songs (but also great vocals)
Had the chance of seeing Ateez live this year and Guerrilla goes so hard it's insane. At the end everyone at the venue were screaming their lungs out (very fun at the moment, my throat wasn't having it later).
I’m curious, before I got into K-pop, I was(and am) a huge EDM fan. I’ve noticed that the K-pop community seems to classify any EDM influence as “noise music”. For example the dance break in savage or girls by aespa is dubstep. The end of Halazia by Ateez is Drum and Bass. Babymonsters debut song has a trap element. EDM is a genre of music, why do we call it noise???
I think the name "noise" music came from fans who didn't like all the edm. Basically haters giving a label to the music, and then fans picking up the name and making it their own. But i could also be wrong 🤷♀️
@@ScolioticTrombone I think this too! I usually see toxic fans saying (mostly) bgs only know how to make "noise music" (their words), and bgs fans saying they enjoy those "noise musics" 🤷🏽 but it's just a guess too, I'm not sure from where it came lol
Noise music tickles my brain, stimulates movement, and while i dont suggest blasting them on a public area where it is just noise vs noise, its definitely a blessing with eaphones on or during concerts haha
Love some noise. Entirely appropriate that Monsta X opens it. Surprised there wasn’t more of them! Too many to count but Be Quiet, Hero, Beautiful, Trespass, Stuck, Kiss or Death etc are good places to start if anyone’s interested. MX and NCT are definitely the 3rd gen noise makers.
I said the same thing to myself and in fact when I went back to my playlist, I noticed that they are noisy in their style, aggressive, abrupt sometimes but the instrumentals behind in fact are not that noisy, in the same way you always have a more melodious part with nunu and kihyun. They are loud, unusual, unique but you can't really classify their songs as just noisy, just like nct actually. If you take rush hour, yes the rap can seem noisy, but the instrumental behind it is harmonious, destroyer could seem harsh and yet the chorus is harmonious etc. take special, it can seem noisy and then comes the second verse sung and she returns again in harmony ^^. Kiss or death is noisy, but the refrain is not noisy ^^
@@schamallow1300 Ah a connoisseur! I feel like their earlier stuff is definitely more noisy than their more recent stuff. I notice now that my list is all earlier stuff. Be Quiet has glass breaking sounds and all sorts of mess. Their recent stuff still has that MX flair and intensity but is more melodious so I would agree on stuff like Rush Hour like you said. There's definitely been a shift since Jooheon started producing title tracks.

sorry but it´s not bad, even NCT create this gender in kpop not general EDM, we´re talking about this mix in kpop they took noisy & neo sound. and they even talk about the hate they receive in the song "LEMONADE" , cause since debut people attack them because of their music , so don´t worry , you can say is noisy neo music. try "save", "freeze", "breakfast" ,"chica bom bom" "right " now with that bass like omg or "Earthquake" if you listen some variation of EDM ..and this is only NCT 127 cause all the discography in NCT is chef kiss @@paradisenow___
making this was actually not so easy as i prefer quieter songs and often see noisy music as something that doesn’t sound good. i used to hate punch, for example, but now it is immersed in my brain and feels hella smooth. that’s why i usually think of noisy music as something more complex, as i said ‘too many sounds all at once’. i also strongly believe noise is much easier to produce as they are entertaining you with noise itself. you can put whatever and people will eventually like it after a few listens.
I love your take!! I guess thats what makes noise music so complex Cause unlike normal songs, you dont have a clear “hit or miss” cause everything can “hit” after a few listens to someone who likes noise music But that just makes it even harder for a “noisy” song to stand out among the rest ^^
@@hana5922if the ‘not noisy’ song ends up boring, there’s quite nothing to be done, people will say ‘snooze fest’ and move on. that’s why a lot of artists probably go the noisy route, even though it’s difficult to be noticed, i agree
I think this is typical: if it is a real noise music, it is hard to digest first. Just as you mentioned at the Baggy Jeans. When I showed NCT first to my sister, I told her: sorry, I am not sure this is music, but it is addictive. Her reaction was the same: WTF did I just hear? And replayed it a few times, and told me after a few hours sitting in silence and reading books: "ok, I still can not think anything else just that music. It ingrained". i’m planning to make a video with the songs for sleeping & studying next! but i get distracted with anything, it was so hard for me to do assignments when i was in university
as someone with adhd realizing this is considered ’noise’ and not just the default for music is a bit eye opening.. i love pretty much all of these songs but, aside from their voices, i only really pick up three to five different instrumental sounds.. i think i’m starting to realize why i get so bored of a lot of songs (in general, not just kpop) really quickly, there’s just not enough going on for my brain to just relax and enjoy it.. 🤔
As a fellow ADHDer it always confuses me that people need many listens to warm up to a noisy song, meanwhile I'm over here completely freaking out and falling in love with a noisy song on the first listen and needing ten or more listens to appreciate simpler songs
That’s why I loved symphonic metal so much growing up!! EDM wasn’t enough, I always needed the layered double guitar + bass + drums + two vocalists + choir + entire orchestra to satisfy my brain lmao.
skznct ownn noise for me idc what anyone says. I was kinda questioning my sanity this entire year when I realised I genuinely enjoyed all skznct releases this year, to name a few: s-class, shalalala, fact check, baggy jeans, la4, sooo hated but soo amazing,
I'm not really a fan of noise music in general, it kind of depends on what kind of noise music it is. Some songs have a very empty sounding instrumental with loud and agressive shouting or rapping, which isn't really my cup of tea. I prefer songs that have a busy and layered instrumental and more dynamic vocals/rapping. I call it organized chaos and SM is really good at this in my opinion
if a kpop stan listened to an actual noise record, i think they would spontaneously combust on the spot. especially if they're expecting whatever this is 💀
Fr like I love most of these songs, but none of them are ACTUAL noise music, although some of the songs do have noise elements. I think most K-pop fans aren't aware that noise is an actual genre and not some made up K-pop stan twitter word for any K-pop song the K-pop community deems as weird, bad, or loud lmao
yeah like most of these weren't actually real noise music. for example, nct has some, but most of the ones In the list weren't actually. Baggy Jeans, Punch and Sticker are more so hip hop with semi noise like elements, but I wouldn't call them actual noise genre tracks. its mostly hip hop and r&b influenced. ppl say anything that isn't following a 3 chord structure is noise at this point. those songs have like one or two parts with a bit of noise elements and... that's About it. chain, bring the noize, mad dog yeah they're more so noise. but the others weren't.

what separates SM groups from others in terms of 'noise' is that they don't let a single style limit their possibilities. for most kpop companies, noise music equals edm (or its noisiest sub-genre). on the other hand, you could never put 'i got a boy', 'idea' and 'chain' in the same genre, but at the same time you could consider them all 'noise'. when you put that boldness, versatility and their heavenly vocals together, you get amazing music. their producers know what they're doing and the A&Rs know the brand, it's just the perfect combination. also, 'shalala' by the neo father, lee taeyong, is the epitome of noise to me. a song recommendation for those interested in 'old' noise lol, 'tri-angle' by tvxq, 'I yah!' by H.O.T., and Shinhwa's discography also has some noise songs (but also great vocals)

Yepp, and I Got A Boy is one of the earliest mixxpop/beatdrop that is popular now.
Had the chance of seeing Ateez live this year and Guerrilla goes so hard it's insane. At the end everyone at the venue were screaming their lungs out (very fun at the moment, my throat wasn't having it later).
127's Japanese singles just hit different
I’m curious, before I got into K-pop, I was(and am) a huge EDM fan. I’ve noticed that the K-pop community seems to classify any EDM influence as “noise music”. For example the dance break in savage or girls by aespa is dubstep. The end of Halazia by Ateez is Drum and Bass. Babymonsters debut song has a trap element. EDM is a genre of music, why do we call it noise???
And noise music is a legitimate genre. It’s actually just noise. So classifying a build up and drop as noise almost seems a little disrespectful
I sound like an EDM hipster or something I’m sorry😂
I think the name "noise" music came from fans who didn't like all the edm. Basically haters giving a label to the music, and then fans picking up the name and making it their own. But i could also be wrong 🤷♀️
@@ScolioticTrombone I think this too! I usually see toxic fans saying (mostly) bgs only know how to make "noise music" (their words), and bgs fans saying they enjoy those "noise musics" 🤷🏽
but it's just a guess too, I'm not sure from where it came lol
this isn't related to the question, but isn't the end of halazia dubstep😭
Noise music tickles my brain, stimulates movement, and while i dont suggest blasting them on a public area where it is just noise vs noise, its definitely a blessing with eaphones on or during concerts haha
Exact. My workout routine just reaches another level once Miroh starts
Skz's noise music sounds so villainous (and i mean this in a very positive way)
notice how they’re all hits
Honestly imo this is best genre in kpop
I agree
Barely any of these songs are in the same genre and none of them are “noise” y’all sound so ignorant
Yeah, love it
easily
@@Emberbunhalazia isn't noise? You look stupid rn
@@schamallow1300 bc its monsta x dude :D monsta x just monsta x. monsta x style is monsta x style. they can harmonized their ability with noise music^^ actually they can harmonized with all genres ;) u can restrict nct with noise music but the same thing isnt for monsta x ^^ so u know what i mean ^^
FR
A noisy (well done) music list would be incomplete without NCT, MX, Ateez, SKZ, No Diggity, MCND and a lot more!
Edit: I'll feel free to drop recomms: Noir's Gangsta, Doom Doom and Airplane Mode
YESSS NOIR
FINALLY A PERSON THAT KNOWS NOIR
I'm stay but nct dream dejavu is a real masterpiece...
sm artists are the kings of noise music
nct has the best noise music and experimental songs imo
Chain is by FAR the most iconic noise song
I'm glad NCT are given noise music as their main sound coz I've always loved really chaotic instrumentals and it's never boring coz everytime they hv a comeback we are always guessing what it will sound like coz it's unpredictable lol! Also, every group mentioned in this list are all so good💚💚💚
this is THE genre of kpop i literally have a playlist called "brain fry noises" with all of these songss
There is just something about Aespa's Girls instrumental, especially the dance break that scratches my brain in the right spots
mandatory "I see A.C.E I click" comment, but this is such a good selection of songs! There's a lot in here that I've never heard before so thank you for helping me expand my noise kpop playlist lol .
If I may add some other favorites of mine:
P1Harmony - Scared (the start of the song sounds literally like walking by a construction site lmao)
2ne1 - I am the best (a classic)
Kard - Bomb Bomb (so loud and so good)
A.C.E - Cactus (the whole final minute of the song is like shooting caffeine through your veins)
Dreamcatcher - Scream (summon the devil type beat)
DIA - Woowa (so girly and so noisy)
Yess cactus is noisy in the best way possible
same! i was so excited, when i saw chan in the thumbnail hahaha
scared should be appreciated more, that intro gave me chills and now im used to it being a longtime ult of p1h 😭😭😭😭
I love LOVE cactus, scream and woowa 😭😭 they're fr so underrated for how good they are
@@Zeljeznicar-k1v same here! The first time I listened to it I actually skipped the song because it felt a little too much lol but now I blast it on full volume !
NCT got songs that just throw a bunch of random sounds together, and it somehow still sounds good to me and gets stuck in my head.
hit by seventeen is sooo good omg it might be one of my fav kpop songs ever
NCT 🤝 SKZ
music for people with ADHD
Monsta X are also definite pioneers of noisy kpop; Be Quiet, Calm Down & X-Phenomenon are personal faves!
Some other recs I haven't seen mentioned yet:
Super Fly - 24K
Stamp on it - Got the Beat
chrOme hearts - onlyoneof
Bomb Bomb - Kard
I've never lost my voice in concerts. I sing everything and I'm VERY LOUD, but it seems like my throat is pretty solid. I finally lost my voice in an ATEEZ concert. Theyre CRAZY GOOD and the "noise music" really brings enthusiasm to their stages and to their audience 🔥
A.c.e.’s “favorite boys” will always be my favorite noise song🥹
ending on adios is so genius in so many ways
I JUST REALIZED THIS
gimme gimme omfg you’re pulling all the stops here i’m so impressed
Everglow, Nmixx, Soyeon, Ateez, and Stray Kids, really got all of my favs in one 😭
honestly, nct has some of the noisiest songs and i absolutely love them for that
I personally really like Ateez’s “noise” music bc their songs also have a melody and aren’t just overwhelming sounds mixed together. Noise music itself isn’t really bad, it’s fun to listen to it from time to time to get some change into playlists :)
crazy form by ateez OUT ON DEC 1!!! another amazing addition to this list! consider checking the album out for more such bangers because they always do noise well. my favourite is the world ep2 album (which includes bouncy as the title track). they also incorporate their lore heavily into the music which is why the album sounds a lot like a story! thanks for reading 😁
chain & mad dog are what I think of when people mention this genre, nct truly r the kings of noise music fs. 💯💯
please don't call it noise music 😭 this is like edm, trust me noise music sounds nothing like these songs it's almost an insult to call them noise music imo
@@paradisenow___I didn’t mean it to come out that way, I didn’t know what to call it 😭 thanks for telling me!
sorry but it´s not bad, even NCT create this gender in kpop not general EDM, we´re talking about this mix in kpop they took noisy & neo sound. and they even talk about the hate they receive in the song "LEMONADE" , cause since debut people attack them because of their music , so don´t worry , you can say is noisy neo music. try "save", "freeze", "breakfast" ,"chica bom bom" "right " now with that bass like omg or "Earthquake" if you listen some variation of EDM ..and this is only NCT 127 cause all the discography in NCT is chef kiss @@paradisenow___

@@paradisenow___ but like, in kpop terms this is considered noise music😭😭
I would like to add Scared by Piwon and Trigger by Verivery as well, this is the superior genre

@@leandraleo281 + breakthrough!!! 😂
making this was actually not so easy as i prefer quieter songs and often see noisy music as something that doesn’t sound good. i used to hate punch, for example, but now it is immersed in my brain and feels hella smooth. that’s why i usually think of noisy music as something more complex, as i said ‘too many sounds all at once’.
i also strongly believe noise is much easier to produce as they are entertaining you with noise itself. you can put whatever and people will eventually like it after a few listens.
just wanted to share my thoughts, i guess, and i would love to see yours!
I love your take!! I guess thats what makes noise music so complex
Cause unlike normal songs, you dont have a clear “hit or miss” cause everything can “hit” after a few listens to someone who likes noise music
But that just makes it even harder for a “noisy” song to stand out among the rest ^^

Yes, only half of the songs on this list do not belong to the noisy genre.
Stray Kids, Ateez and NCT are the kings of noise music
KPOP SHOULD NOISE MUSIC THAT IS KPOP I REALLY LOVE IT
just realized that pledis and kq noise musics hit real different :)
Ngl, it’s not noise music if you don’t include nct or ateez. Nct really got me into noise music 😭
Whenever i hear "noise music" my mind instantly goes to ateez. No one can do it better imo👏
the way "noise music" was first used as an insult towards nct's music now almost everyone trying to claim their faves does it too, just a thought!
@14:16 "Dem Jointz as always singlehandedly causing chaos" I am obsessed with this description hahaha, so true. This list confirms that I am always going straight for the noisy tracks on an album 😂
my kind of music 😎 nct made me stay in this kpop life...
played this while studying, was too distracted with most of the songs. definitely my type of vibe LMAO
i’m planning to make a video with the songs for sleeping & studying next! but i get distracted with anything, it was so hard for me to do assignments when i was in university
as someone with adhd realizing this is considered ’noise’ and not just the default for music is a bit eye opening.. i love pretty much all of these songs but, aside from their voices, i only really pick up three to five different instrumental sounds.. i think i’m starting to realize why i get so bored of a lot of songs (in general, not just kpop) really quickly, there’s just not enough going on for my brain to just relax and enjoy it.. 🤔
As a fellow ADHDer it always confuses me that people need many listens to warm up to a noisy song, meanwhile I'm over here completely freaking out and falling in love with a noisy song on the first listen and needing ten or more listens to appreciate simpler songs
i’m autistic and feel the same way, “noise music” just scratches my brain the right way
That’s why I loved symphonic metal so much growing up!! EDM wasn’t enough, I always needed the layered double guitar + bass + drums + two vocalists + choir + entire orchestra to satisfy my brain lmao.
skznct ownn noise for me idc what anyone says. I was kinda questioning my sanity this entire year when I realised I genuinely enjoyed all skznct releases this year, to name a few: s-class, shalalala, fact check, baggy jeans, la4, sooo hated but soo amazing,
you just listed a few % of total noise music here and I love all of it😂 as NCT, Ateez, Straykids fans this type of music already inside our head🤣🤣🤣
Thanks for making this. I saw a similar video a while back and they had the audacity to add only one NCT song?? This one’s much better!
I call it organized chaos and SM is really good at this in my opinion
sm got the best noise music imo, they produce noise music with layers to build up the tension is the best.
who gave you the access to my "rest and relaxation" playlist
NCT 127 our kings of noiseland
Can we talk about how the kpop community just forgot Ice Age? That song's a banger fr
if a kpop stan listened to an actual noise record, i think they would spontaneously combust on the spot. especially if they're expecting whatever this is 💀
Fr like I love most of these songs, but none of them are ACTUAL noise music, although some of the songs do have noise elements.
@@Tyongryong nahh.. im talking like Merzbow or like Yellow Swans type noise music, like the genre.

Chain and kitchen beat deserves top spot

Halazia, Guerilla, Maverick, Get It, Sticker, Baggy Jeans, Ice Age, HIT, HOT, Dionysus, Tricky House, I Got A Boy, Dun Dun, and Adios are my personal faves! But imma check out the rest of this playlist; the songs all seem to be bangers
nct kings of noise music, i love it
some of them are not noisy at all, just loud like o.o, double knot, deja vu..
ateez and nct127 are the best example of noise
So when Kpop fans say noise music they're referring to EDM? 😂
nct RAN so others could walk.
sm really doesn't play with the noise music and nct popularizing it for the next generations
StrayKids is truly the best and most creative in the noisy music genre. The songs are really high quality. Also it really suits them very well
This is the first list I've seen include ANS - Say My Name and that makes me quite happy ^w^ It's a personal favorite of mine and I'm glad to see it included!
Personally, I love noisy music because it pleases my lizard brain and makes me very happy, like a crow finding shinies. Highly recommend Stray Kids ROCK-STAR album and Aespa's Drama, both are on constant repeat for me atm and are very noisy. Also NIZIU's Heartris, video game soundscapes are great for noise.
i added all the songs from rock-star to my playlist, i am in love! same with drama, the track was stunning, gotta check out niziu!
i really love nct's noise music, imo they make the best noise music
THANK YOU FOR INCLUDING A.C.E HERE ILY SM
let's give A.C.E more recognition for their incredible noise music.
punch is THAT song
Seventeen really doesn't have much of noise music except for hip hop unit but if there are then they are bops
this type of songs is very headache-inducing to me, but still sooo many quality bops here!
