  • This is a video diary of me building an Appalachian Mountain Dulcimer from Scrap and off cut timber and plywood.
    I'm not a Joiner or Cabinet maker, but an enthusiastic DIYer
    who tries his hand at timber and wooden instrument recycling.
    After the project is complete it is then donated to a relevant charity.

    Dean, you might think about traveling more around the southern states ... and/or different faires.

    you should be able to remove the dents in the frettboard by steaming them out with a wet rag and a soldering iron

    Does the fretboard have a back angle like a guitar has?

      Not on either of the ones I've done. I was using them predomitly for slide though. Best regards.
