As a black female actress I have quickly noticed if the project is looking for a young black female and the character isn't a stereotype or ghetto the role is going to go to a biracial actress.

Yooooo- that is such an important conversation to me; how actresses like Amandla and other lightskin/biracial actresses like Zendaya and Zoe Kravitz get all these black roles, as if the industry has this kind of subconscious 'they are *just* black enough*' or they just straight up don't value darker skinned people. Especially with THUG , but something else particularly with Amandla- she is also always paired with a white love interest. Like not only does the industry not like to showcase darker skinned people (oh wait- unless of course they are playing a slave, or are in the middle of the 60s civil rights movement, etc............), they also just can't seem to fathom two people of color in their own story or in love. And LOL to Chris being the great value version of Peter! I started reading Six of Crows and that is so your brand that while reading I can almost picture a mini you on my shoulder
omg six of crows isnt for everyone but i do hope u enjoy it even tho the beginning can be dense! and yes, that bugs me a lot when movies primarily cast lightskin/biracial actresses so that they can checkmark the diversity box but still be "palatable" enough for the audience. i also have an issue with many POC leads having white love interests. it makes it feel like the movie or book is still catering towards white people by trying to make it as palatable as possible. btw have you seen Amandla's other movie where she stars as a girl who falls in love with a nazi? the whole thing is YIKES!!
Yeah, it’s interesting because as a mixed-race black person (and also Hispanic because it’s complicated) I feel like people just put mixed-race actors/characters so they can be diverse without actually talking about racism. It’s one thing if it’s just a lighter skinned people that is black compared to a mixed person. I wish there was a popular book/movie that actually talked about mixed-race identity, instead of it just being casual/lazy about it. Us mixed people have stories too.
@@victoriatalkswriting8352 totally agree on this. all this casual casting of lightskin mixed people to play full poc is taking away from their actual stories to tell. it also makes it harder for someone like me who is a lightskin black person because there is unfortunately a strong group of people, black included, who vehemently argue that lightskin people should not be counted as black. and they are sparked by the blatant colourism that hollywood shows. the internalised colourism makes it so much harder to talk about in my community. so because of the fact that apparently, maybe somewhere down the line my great great great great great grandparents mixed with someone not of their colour i'm not fully black even tho no one of my generation is nothing but black? god forbid my pigmentation is due to variation. i also kinda feel like this amandla thing is down to elitism and tokenism as well as colourism. amandla has been on the rise for a while now so they're giving her all the roles of a black mc cos they know she has already secured a fanbase. it also just helps that's she's lightskin and not fully black.

Absolutely adored what you said about The Poet X. I also felt it wrapped up pretty quickly and didn’t find the ending as compelling as the story had been.
The Poet X had me bawling at my desk at work. I loved it. I also wished the end had a little more meat and potatoes bc we had so much lead-in. But it was...ahhh. it was JUST!! I read the ebook and immediately added a hardcopy to my Amazon cart when I finished! 😍 And don't get me started on the colorism. Sheesh!! I'm a browner girl, with hella kinky hair. I'd love to see someone who looks more like me (and matches the description of some of these characters who ARE darker in books) on the big screen. You'd think dark-skinned girls don't exist in real life.
I saw that Spiderman on Netflix. My 3 and 7 year old kids reenacted the before school scene for at least 3 weeks. You're right about the "anyone can be a superhero" observation, but shouts out to the villains as well!! I loved Doc Oc as a woman. She did that.
"diversity should be a standard, not a bonus" YES THANK YOU thank you for the video!! i also loooooved into the multiverse, it just... idek i loved loved loved it
I was waiting that whole time for you to discuss the ending of the poet x. Thank you. I LOVEDDDDDDDD this book allll the way until that ending. It went from a full 5 to a 4 real quick.
readwithcindy honestly mood. Almost everyone else says it’s a 5 star and they found the ending to be amazing. I swear that makes my eye twitch every time lol
What you said about the difficulty rating Not That Bad and how you're not necessarily reading it for entertainment is something I feel with a lot of non-fiction I read. Like I'm in it to learn something, but also be entertained... There's kind of this conflict where it's less directly or explicitly a piece of art than a fiction work is. Also on the topic of great spoken poetry set to music, I highly recommend Linton Kwesi Johnson. He released a load of his better known poems as albums over music, but he also performs them without the music and publishes them in collections. Each way of experiencing is different, and they're all great!
Poet X had been translated to Finnish some time ago so it's been on my list of books to get for my sister so I'm glad to hear it's good! Also I've never read any Sarah J Maas books but I'm looking forward to hearing your thoughts on ACOTAR lol
i’m super glad you liked The Poet X!!! i can def agree about the ending. xiomara’s mother would honestly be in my top 10 scariest book characters list if i had one lmao but because of that, because of the tension that rolled off of the pages, the ending, while nice to see, wasn’t what i’d fall too realistic for me. that’s probably just bc i have family members who still radiate heavy xiomara’s-mother-energy tho oh BOY acotar!!! i’m like 75 pages in rn. i’m already excited for your video on it
If you ever decide to re read a poet x i recommend the audiobook. It was read by the author and it’s so good! And i kinda felt the same about the ending. I thought it wouldn’t be as “we’re all good now” as it was.
Aww bummer that you didn’t like Pride! I loved it for the writing style - the way Zoboi describes things just... loved it! *chef’s kiss* (for me. Lol) Ooooh An Unkindness of Ghosts sounds great!
You're the second booktuber who recently read an unkindness of ghosts and enjoyed it. It's been sitting on my shelf for the past two years so it might be time for me to finally pick it up 😅
I read The Poet X in February too and I loved it! I'm glad to hear you enjoyed it as well! Totally agree about the boyfriend in THUG xD I keep hearing so many amazing things about the new Spider Man movie! I need to see it!
Ok that was articulate & now I wanna read poet x! Glad to hear it was a 4.5! & i swear if you don’t script ur videos, idk what kinda comedic blessing you are bestowed with bc ur so witty and I love it so much
I learned about blackathon too late. But I thought reading books by these wonderful authors shouldn’t be restricted in the month of February. So I went ahead and read one even though it was already March. #Excuses because of my ignorance lmao
Thanks for sharing your thoughts on Not That Bad! You're so eloquent as usual. I'm disappointed to hear Pride wasn't that great, I've been wanting to pick up a P&P retelling. Guess I'll skip that one. And god yes please do a separate review on ACOTAR, your GoodReads review on it was great and I completely agree with it. It'd be nice to see you talk about it in a video as well.
And don’t make a video about recommending us only six of crows, I’ve started reading it because of you already and it’s very likely that every one of your fan does the same
The Poet X did kinda feel unfinished though like we never learned of what happened to Aman or Twin, it just came to a stop. The only thing that changed was her mother allowed her to do poetry, which is believable
Darkness& Light It was pitch perfect. Like sketch written as a response to all those dudes, who defend trying to pick up women on the street or while they’re at work.😊

Are you sure it’s not self-parody on his part? Cos if not, then...it sounds like a cringey Valentine’s day Hallmark card. Yikes cubed.
"look at me expanding myself by reading a book written by a man" that's so relatable :D I can't wait for your review of ACOTAR, that was my first Sarah J Maas book too and I hated it with every fibre of my being.
I read The Hate U Give and when I watched the movie the part that bothered me the most was how much they changed her boyfriend's storyline. Also the movie didn't show her relationship with her brother and with her friends as much and it was my favorite part in the book, you should give it a go!
@@withcindy he's definitely more sympathetic in the book! I actually really liked his character in the book and hated it in the movie, he plays a way bigger part in the final act and it's more supportive and understanding throughout the entire story. In the movie it made it seem as he was only there for her to confront her father about him, idk, I just think they made him plain and boring in the movie, when in the book he's more present in the whole narrative.
AnaJunqueira1 It’s been a while since I read the book, but I feel they made the boyfriend really generic in the move for him to stand in for the random white person who doesn’t get racism or white privilege. I feel like Starr definitely had to explain things to him more in the movie. I liked him more in the book.
Have you read The Broken Earth Series by N.K. Jemisin? If not, since you liked An Unkindness of Ghosts then this would be a good one to try too 🙌 She also wrote a book of short stories called How Long ‘TIL Black Future Month? I love her writing!
Me... had my usual epistle of a reply typed out. Internet resets... I accidentally hit reload and then needed a time turner because MY COMMENTTTTTTT!!!! "It's a sad sad situation" Cindy. So sad. This will be my shortest comment ever in the history of UA-cam!!! *cries*. I love you and this video was amazing and I can't wait for your review of ACOTAR!!!
readwithcindy 😘😘😘. Thank you... Guess what? I wasn’t planning on doing a review of ACOTAR until you mentioned it and then I did a not really a review review (I had no notes or anything cuz I repeat I hadn’t planned on a review 😭😭😭) of the entire series. Unedited it is over an hour long 😔😔. Editing it is going to be a bitch! And also, what the fuck was I thinking???
Even though I'm white (though I do have some distant spanish heritage) I loved The Hate U Give and I thought the themes brought up in it were excellent! Angie Thomas is a brilliant writer.
I've decided to use two stars more and five stars less because I might as well use the whole rating scale and not just 3-5 stars and I feel good about that so far :- ) The teenager part in me was half attacked and half amused by the John Green part but yikes, Helium is a pass for me :- ) And Not That Bad - it's good that it exists and I'd like to support it but I'm not sure if it's worth it feeling shitty for so many pages.
So Rudy Francisco came to read at my college (Kenyon, where John Green went, so I found your comparisons hilarious) and like....yeah. I hard agree about his love poems. He said the one about the girl at Starbucks is actually about a woman he ended up dating for 3 years, but the way it was framed even while he was reading it was a little uncomfortable to me, like he was about to try to flirt with her while she was working. He read a new (not love) poem that was absolutely incredible, I don’t want to give away his poetic information before he releases it himself but it was the poem that made me cry during the reading, I’d keep an eye out for his new stuff because it seems like his poetry’s only getting stronger.
i'm glad to hear that his poetry is getting stronger! he definitely has good ideas but a lot of the poems in this particular book were a lil too try-hard for me, i'm sure as he gets better he won't feel the need to bombard a bunch of metaphors as a crutch to convey his message.
Hey Cindy, I think you should check out Maggot Moon by Sally Gardner. Maybe don't read the synopsis on Goodreads because based on that, the book doesn't sound that good. On the other hand, you probably want to know a couple of things about this novel before picking it up, so here it is: it's amazing and heart-breaking and weird and short and I keep thinking about it ever since I've read it. It's definitely not for everyone, but which book is?
@@withcindy It's really hard to explain (for me, at least), but it's about a boy with different colored eyes who can't read or write, living in a cruel world where people are lied to and deceived by the government. He's an outcast, everybody think he's dumb, but he manages to find a true friend who accepts him and together they try to expose the lies and liars. It's written in such an interesting voice and to me, their story was very haunting. I hope this piqued your interest and if it did and you'll read the book, I would love to know your thoughts about it! Also it's young adult or younger than that, but since it's kind of disturbing sometimes, and it has a dark and depressing undertone, I don't really know what age group is the target audience. I've read it as an adult and most of the times I read adult books, very rarely young adult, I honestly love it. It's extremely short, I've read it during a one-hour train-ride. Greetings from Hungary, Cindy!
Spider-man Into the Spiderverse is one of my favorite movies I've seen in years! I saw it 4x in theaters and loved it every time! And laughed about it and talked about it for hours after :) I'm so glad you liked it and I thought they did such a great job breaking typical stereotype tropes :)
@@withcindy The music is one of the best parts :) And the complex characters, relatability, reasonable villain motivations, amazing art :) So many positive things to say about it :) It does help I actually already did love Spider-man before this but that made it jumping to my favorite Spider-man movie on first viewing even better to me :)
I read Her Body and Other Parties before the end of last year. I thought some stories were better than others, as you might expect in a short stories compilation. I am curious to see what you think about the X-Files one. Also, good for you for finishing the challenge, I literally only read 2 books. I didn't even watch the poem videos U____U. ALSO, YES I LOVED SPIDERMAN. I was SO surprised with how much I enjoyed it. I've always been a Spiderman fan by association (husband's fav), but this movie just OOZED with originality. So happy to see the representation as well.
Sadly it’s only being shown near me for kids only, so I’d have to take a kid with me to watch it and I don’t have one haha. I’ll just wait for it to be on TV or something.
I loved loved loved spiderman into the spiderverse, it's pretty much one of my favourite movies of all time so I'm glad you share the same opinion as me 🤗
I read the Throne of glass(not finish yet it is so long) but not the ACOTAR some people like and some hate curious about what do you think about Sarah J Maas. Also I really want to read PoetX
I read The Poet X and An Unkindness of Ghosts both for BlackAThon too. It was nice to hear your thoughts on them :). I thought the ending for An Unkindness of Ghosts was a bit rushed and I didn't really connect with the main character. I have autism and so does she (and it's one of the reasons I picked up the book), but somehow it just didn't quite click with me, I didn't like the representation. However I loved the concept of the book and learning about the world on the shop and the mystery of Aster's mother's death. I liked Theo too. I liked the themes of the book. I agree about the violence, I gave a warning for that in my review as well. I liked The Poet X a lot but have concluded novels in verse aren't quite for me. I did like the characters and the themes it discussed. I've read The Hate U Give the book but I haven't seen the movie yet (I've pre-ordered the Blu-ray so am waiting for that. Cinema/theaters are too overwhelming for me, so I don't go to them). Great wrap-up, I loved hearing your thoughts on all the things you discussed.
thanks for sharing your thoughts! i think that's totally fair for the characters to not click with you. although the author is nonbinary, i'm not sure if they are autistic, so it might not have been an own voices book in that aspect.
Yeah I also cried when I watched The Hate U Give, and I watched it after I just finished reading Ace of Spades (while the movie made me angry, the book made me sick to my stomach).
I also really LOVED Spiderman it was so good! and the art and animation was so awesome! I've read The Hate U Give, and really enjoyed it! I've been wanting to watch the movie but I'm wondering if there are any content changes?
i LOVED spiderman so much!! and i dont know since i havent read the book but the other comments here have said that the movie didnt go in depth with starr's boyfriend and her relationship with her siblings

And don't get me started on the colorism. Sheesh!! I'm a browner girl, with hella kinky hair. I'd love to see someone who looks more like me (and matches the description of some of these characters who ARE darker in books) on the big screen. You'd think dark-skinned girls don't exist in real life.
it wouldn't be a true Cindy video without SoC/CK being mentioned in any way
if i dont mention SOC/CK in a video thats how u know im being held at gunpoint
Wow someone who is not black is talking about colorism, it's really nice to see
I gotchu
Today is my "readwithcindy binge." Thank you for your content and puts me in such a good mood.
Spider-Man: Into the Spiderverse was SO GOOD! I was SHOOK!
ME TOOOOOO
Am I the only person who was like "WTF IS A SHIONIST" for the first 10mins of the video
lmao this sweater has confused so many people
I saw that Spiderman on Netflix. My 3 and 7 year old kids reenacted the before school scene for at least 3 weeks. You're right about the "anyone can be a superhero" observation, but shouts out to the villains as well!! I loved Doc Oc as a woman. She did that.
"diversity should be a standard, not a bonus" YES THANK YOU
thank you for the video!! i also loooooved into the multiverse, it just... idek i loved loved loved it
Spiderverse not only hit different in the story telling and representation. But the attention to detail. The unique animation style. I could GO OFF
I was waiting that whole time for you to discuss the ending of the poet x. Thank you. I LOVEDDDDDDDD this book allll the way until that ending. It went from a full 5 to a 4 real quick.
im glad im not the only one!!
readwithcindy honestly mood. Almost everyone else says it’s a 5 star and they found the ending to be amazing. I swear that makes my eye twitch every time lol
I really liked your description of what makes a good book and a bad book. I've never thought of it that way, but I totally agree!
thanks! whenever i read a book i like to think about how else it could have been written differently and improved, and that influences my rating
i’m so happy you read the poet x! i love that book so much and it’s so nice to see so many of my favorite people reading it 😊❤️
yes, the poet x was great!
Each way of experiencing is different, and they're all great!
thanks for the rec! and yes, that is also why i find it difficult to rate nonfiction, especially memoirs.
Poet X had been translated to Finnish some time ago so it's been on my list of books to get for my sister so I'm glad to hear it's good! Also I've never read any Sarah J Maas books but I'm looking forward to hearing your thoughts on ACOTAR lol
yay i hope your sister enjoys the poet x!!
i’m super glad you liked The Poet X!!! i can def agree about the ending. xiomara’s mother would honestly be in my top 10 scariest book characters list if i had one lmao but because of that, because of the tension that rolled off of the pages, the ending, while nice to see, wasn’t what i’d fall too realistic for me. that’s probably just bc i have family members who still radiate heavy xiomara’s-mother-energy tho
oh BOY acotar!!! i’m like 75 pages in rn. i’m already excited for your video on it
yeah that scene where she had xiomara kneel down was brutal. when she finds xiomara's [spoiler] near the end, it was REALLY tense :(
omg im so excited to hear ur thoughts on ACOTAR too lol
If you ever decide to re read a poet x i recommend the audiobook. It was read by the author and it’s so good! And i kinda felt the same about the ending. I thought it wouldn’t be as “we’re all good now” as it was.
I honestly love your way of reviewing 😍👏
thank you!
I'm glad I've been introduced to booktube thru your channel. Definitely enjoying your insightful realism and Cin-cerity.
OMG I can't wait for your review on SJM book. hahahaah... great video I have added a ton to my TBR... Thanks.
Aww bummer that you didn’t like Pride! I loved it for the writing style - the way Zoboi describes things just... loved it! *chef’s kiss* (for me. Lol)
Ooooh An Unkindness of Ghosts sounds great!
haha I'm glad that someone out there still enjoyed pride!! for me i am super fickle with relationship driven stories
32 mins ?!
You spoil us .
its impossible to do a short wrapup video at this point
You're the second booktuber who recently read an unkindness of ghosts and enjoyed it. It's been sitting on my shelf for the past two years so it might be time for me to finally pick it up 😅
ah i hope you enjoy it!! it can be pretty dense if youre not used to sci fi but the characters are still endearing
I've gotta read unkindness of ghosts!! Send all non-binary books my way 🤩
the author is nonbinary as well!
you're my favorite book tuber- love your authenticity!! Hello from a small book tuber just starting out ❤️
welcome to booktube!
Hell yeah we’re interested. I’m interested in whatever you put out, girl
that's what she said
The quality of your video did improve!!!! You're amazing!!!!
im finally on that 1080p level now lol
Your reviews help me so much because my book was just like pride making the main character love than hate the second main character so thank you
This thicc video gave me a lot of food for thought. Also I need to go watch Spiderman Into The Spiderverse like the yesterday before yesterday.
i think you would LOVE the movie!
I read The Poet X in February too and I loved it! I'm glad to hear you enjoyed it as well!
Totally agree about the boyfriend in THUG xD
I keep hearing so many amazing things about the new Spider Man movie! I need to see it!
yes i totally recommend you to check it out!
The "here's your latte" part lmao
Oh. My. Gosh. The way you discovered An Unkindness of Ghosts is the exact same way I did!!!!
omg twinsies
I just want to let you know, that i never skip your ads. Your welcome Cindy 😂✨
I feel like Pride had the seed of a lot of things that just didn't end up being explored in an impactful way
that's exactly how i feel, it's a big wasted opportunity
Yasssss I love ur videos Cindy... Ur too much ❤️❤️❤️
how are u so fast!! thank u
@@withcindy lol notifications boo.. I'm quick
Ok that was articulate & now I wanna read poet x! Glad to hear it was a 4.5! & i swear if you don’t script ur videos, idk what kinda comedic blessing you are bestowed with bc ur so witty and I love it so much
haha i think up of jokes while i read a book and jot them down in my notes for when i review!
I learned about blackathon too late. But I thought reading books by these wonderful authors shouldn’t be restricted in the month of February. So I went ahead and read one even though it was already March. #Excuses because of my ignorance lmao
we should be reading black books EVERY month!
It'd be nice to see you talk about it in a video as well.
haha i will definitely do so! goodreads is where i talk more articulately, booktube reviews let me hang a lil loose lol
Cindy please make a video which you recommend us books to read!
And don’t make a video about recommending us only six of crows, I’ve started reading it because of you already and it’s very likely that every one of your fan does the same
that depends on what genre you want to read more of!
readwithcindy any genre you like, cindy
You are the comedic genius I didn’t know I needed here on UA-cam
haha thank you!
The Poet X did kinda feel unfinished though like we never learned of what happened to Aman or Twin, it just came to a stop. The only thing that changed was her mother allowed her to do poetry, which is believable
Oh gosh! The Starbucks remake of the dude & the poem you are reading in the background omggg YES
Darkness& Light
It was pitch perfect. Like sketch written as a response to all those dudes, who defend trying to pick up women on the street or while they’re at work.😊
that poem was actual excerpts from the author LOL

“I see her face in every cloud and her reflection in every window
Her heartbeat sounds like my last name and she smiles like the Pacific Ocean”
Are you serious? Are you sure it’s not self-parody on his part? Cos if not, then...it sounds like a cringey Valentine’s day Hallmark card. Yikes cubed.
hEr HeArTbEaT sOuNdS lIkE mY lAsT nAmE
Reminds me of things like:
“Hey baby, you know where your clothes would look really good at?
My bedroom floor.”
"look at me expanding myself by reading a book written by a man" that's so relatable :D
I can't wait for your review of ACOTAR, that was my first Sarah J Maas book too and I hated it with every fibre of my being.
im so open minded now!
@@withcindy you have to check those diversity points and give marginalised people a chance hahaha
Spiderverse was incredible, I watched it in 3D and I was blown away. It also gave me a headache but it was so worth it.
i watched it in 2d both times and it's already amazing like that, i feel like 3d would blow my mind lol
"Your life is not a John Green novel" 😂😂😂
i'd hate my life to be a john green novel tbh
@@withcindy you mean you wouldn't want to be a teenage boy's damaged dream girl fantasy? Strange 😂
An Unkindness of Ghosts sounds really interesting... I'm going to have to keep an eye out for that one.
it's great!! would rec
I read The Hate U Give and when I watched the movie the part that bothered me the most was how much they changed her boyfriend's storyline. Also the movie didn't show her relationship with her brother and with her friends as much and it was my favorite part in the book, you should give it a go!
how did they change the boyfriend's storyline? do you think it made him more sympathetic?
@@SecretConceit yes, that's how I feel too!!
okay that's good to hear because he was DEFINITELY the generic well-meaning white dude in the movie and i'm like... that's nice but i dont care LOL
Have you read The Broken Earth Series by N.K. Jemisin? If not, since you liked An Unkindness of Ghosts then this would be a good one to try too 🙌 She also wrote a book of short stories called How Long ‘TIL Black Future Month? I love her writing!
ooh i have "how long til black future month" on my TBR but i didnt know about her other book, thanks for the rec :)
Me... had my usual epistle of a reply typed out. Internet resets... I accidentally hit reload and then needed a time turner because MY COMMENTTTTTTT!!!! "It's a sad sad situation" Cindy. So sad. This will be my shortest comment ever in the history of UA-cam!!! *cries*. I love you and this video was amazing and I can't wait for your review of ACOTAR!!!
no worries about leaving long comments bb
readwithcindy 😘😘😘.
The 🤧 🖱 is my fav part.
loooved this video and the great points you made. also i'm READY for that acotar video
thank you! i'm excited to post it in the near future heheh
I've decided to use two stars more and five stars less because I might as well use the whole rating scale and not just 3-5 stars and I feel good about that so far :- ) The teenager part in me was half attacked and half amused by the John Green part but yikes, Helium is a pass for me :- ) And Not That Bad - it's good that it exists and I'd like to support it but I'm not sure if it's worth it feeling shitty for so many pages.
yea, i def dont think i'd read another book like not that bad - it's not a pleasant experience at all lol
I really appreciate your views on An Unkindness of Ghosts!
"i hate paying for movies" sooo relatable, im v cheap. If I watch a movie TWICE in theaters, yall better be on it cuz it's that good
Hey Cindy, I think you should check out Maggot Moon by Sally Gardner. It's definitely not for everyone, but which book is?
thank you for the rec! can i get more hints on what it's about? what's the genre and characters like?
Damn the Starbucks part 😂 I love you so much 💜
Spider-man Into the Spiderverse is one of my favorite movies I've seen in years! I saw it 4x in theaters and loved it every time! And laughed about it and talked about it for hours after :) I'm so glad you liked it and I thought they did such a great job breaking typical stereotype tropes :)
i saw it for the 2nd time this week!! and have been listening to the soundtrack and getting hyped over it. i LOVE it
@@withcindy The music is one of the best parts :) And the complex characters, relatability, reasonable villain motivations, amazing art :) So many positive things to say about it :) It does help I actually already did love Spider-man before this but that made it jumping to my favorite Spider-man movie on first viewing even better to me :)
So happy to see the representation as well.
thats my issue with short stories and anthologies too. i'll keep an eye out for the X-files!
I’m so annoyed I didn’t go and see Into the Spiderverse when it was in the cinema 😩 I really need to watch it, but idk how now.
are there any other theaters near you still playing it? mine still is!
Sadly it’s only being shown near me for kids only, so I’d have to take a kid with me to watch it and I don’t have one haha. I’ll just wait for it to be on TV or something.
I loved loved loved spiderman into the spiderverse, it's pretty much one of my favourite movies of all time so I'm glad you share the same opinion as me 🤗
i TOTALLY agree, it's one of my faves EVER
I read the Throne of glass(not finish yet it is so long) but not the ACOTAR some people like and some hate curious about what do you think about Sarah J Maas. Also I really want to read PoetX
TBH i dont get the hype OR the hate for her lol
Oh my god your short skit section on Starbucks girl *KILLED* me
im gonna add more skits in my reviews next time
@@withcindy yes please 😭💕
I tried to look up information to see whether they are autistic or not but wasn't able to find anything (yet anyway). Have a nice day :).
you too gaia! :)
Can I promote Kenyan literature. Grace Ogot, Margaret Ogola, Ngugi Wa Thiong’o, Meja Mwangi.
@@withcindy I'll have a scroll through your comment section as well as do my own research too! thanks! :)
Yay! Love hearing all your thoughts as always. I definitely want to go see Spiderverse! xx
