The reason steering wheel adjustment does not work 99% of the time is NOT THE MOTORS burned out. Very misleading information. 9 times out of 10 it is the seat position controller. Numerous videos and threads on this as the solution. Just want the correct information out there.
@@bryantmaximilionalpha2840 Thanks for the screwdriver tip! My seat memory modules bad and I needed to move the steer wheel. Arnet the steer motors pulse width modulated? So you sent the motors the correct PWM signal to test? Ive never had two motors go at same time on anything. Like CapeCodBoater was explaining if your memory function dies for the seat controller module (seat still moves fine but wont retain memory) you loose steering motor function new seat module required as it doesnt forward the PWM signal to go. Test Memory function. Adjust position seat etc with ignition on press memory when it lights up press a number memory light should go out and retain that memory. Move seat press your selected number, if nothing happens and seat wont return your module is kaput and your steering wheel electric controls wont work.
@@millerjarrad my seat memory module works as it should, as I have my settings when i drive and my son has his. I bought the vehicle used and quite a few things didn't work on it, that I eventually fixed myself.
Cool trick. Think my motor is seized or someone stripped it already..

My seat position controller works fine, it's my steering wheel position motors that are bad, so I guess I'm that 1%.

Just because your seat works doesn't mean the seat module is good. My seat works just fine and my tilt wuit and it was the seat module.
