Something about the formulation and shade match in the aboutface foundation is magical. I feel like everyone moved on from it too quickly but its the sleeper hit for me.
SAME. My best shade match yet and I love the formula. I’ve seen a lot of people pass on it though. Shocking
It made it into my top 5 for the year and will definitely be following me into 2025.
Same! It's amaaaaazzingg!😊
Really? I’ve been sleeping on that foundation 🥹
I need help then. I bought it when it first came out, but it felt thick and heavy. I'm sure it's a me error, but I need someone to tell me how to make it work!
It’s very strange that people are turned off by a foundation with a doe foot and most don’t object to a concealer with a doe foot applicator.
This always amuses me too. Seems like cognitive dissonance. Two of my favorites (about face and Neutrogena hydro boost) both have doe foot applicators.
I feel like the concern is getting all of the product out.
Love a doe foot foundation!!
Same with the cheek products with a fuzzy applicator but not lip glosses with a fuzzy applicator that just lives in the product forever
The about face foundation is my new go to, they actually had my shade. I'm usually the lightest shade of foundation but they actually made one that's cool toned. The other "cool" fairs are either pink or yellow
Video Idea💡 Rewatch your old best of(said year) videos and see if you still like those products after a couple years? Like if you like a newer product better than the ones you LOVED in the videos. Ex.foundations concealer, eyeshadows or the best makeup in general
I absolutely love trying foundations. I only loved 3 drug store foundations Maybelline skin tint, ELF satin foundation and Revelon Silk serum. Haus labs is a HG but since trying the Fenty Soft lit i honestly love my skin and get more compliments with the Fenty. I enjoy the LYS skin tint stick, One Size full beat, MAC studio radiance, About Face, Hourglass soft focus, and Armani silk. These are my phenomenal foundations.
I don't know if I got a bad bottle or not, but the maybelline skin tint smelled awful, like chemicals.
Which foundation would you say is more lightweight? I can't decide between fenty ans armani silk. I am not very used to makeup on my face yet but wish to use foundation
@@Merrymerrybun Fenty imho.
Picked up the Fenty luminous foundation because of your recommendation and, oh my gosh, it’s freaking amazing!!!! A million times better than their original formula.
I haven't bought foundation from a drugstore in years. You just made me take a quick peek, and when did foundation start to cost $30 at the drugstore? 😮 Wow!
Please the same concept with concealer!!loved this one thanks
Nice job, Morgan! Very thorough. Do you ever review Lisa Eldridge makeup? I was kind of hoping to see what you thought of her skin tint in here. But again-great job!
You always do the best foundation reviews! Are you planning to review the new Dior Forever HydraNude Foundation that was just released? I’m really interested in trying it.
@@lvvl1005 same!
I got the elf satin foundation on your recommendation, and it's stunning! I'm still tempted to get the fenty as that's supposed to be even better, but I'll just wait until it's used up now.
MAC serum powered foundation is my go to workhorse for looking fantastic as an RN working very long shifts. I am in the OR so i'm taking surgical masks on and off all day long. This one lasts and my skin looks beautiful from 4:30 am when I put it on til 9pm when I wash it off and shower. It's the one that I know will always look good and never dries me out. I have more dry/normal skin and it seems to wear IN rather than wear OFF if that makes sense. I usually wear the hydrating fenty primer first and set with lys natural finish setting spray to melt all my stuff together ie hourglass powders and rms blush/highlighter. If i'm not using the mac i'm going for turn up the base full beat by one size or fenty soft lit foundation or fenty eaze drop.
I think I purchased about 15 new foundations last year, high end to drug store. They were all basically the same with minor differences. I finally sprung for the Tom Ford shade and illuminate and that’s when I found my holy grail. It’s nice to try trendy things but for me foundation needs to stand out because it’s what everything else sits on. The shade and illuminate helps me apply less make up because it makes my skin look superb.
you are truly the only realest person I can trust when it comes to makeup recommendations. not only do we have the exact same skin type, but also my foundation and concealer match is your exact one!
Hi dear Morgan, Happy New Year for you and Jose!!!🥂🥂🎉🎉🤩🤩Loved to watch and listen this, thank you!!! I maybe try the Chanel one, when there is another discount on it here in The Netherlands, their Sublimage foundation is also like soft music on my 54 year old skin! Most used this year, for me, the Cle de Peau one in the dark blue tube, i love that foundation, have b10 and 020 now, mix them, also love their primer, and, dry sensitive skin here. CDP is expensive, but i do not anymore want to have too many foundations, i only want what really works. Skintint, Dr. Jart i used the most last summer as new discovery and of course the Sisley skintint. Also love Chantecaille foundations. I love to try new stuff but more and more stick to the same products and really want to use the CDP foundations till the last drop of course, and that is even for me possible, not wearing makeup everyday, it's not a load of foundation in these tubes. The Dior stick i also tried, will keep on trying, it only works when prepping and prepping, because, quite some fragrance, but a very good product!!! Looking forward to the best and worst round ups!!! And wishing you a wonderful day!!!😘😘😘😘
You are killing it with the videos lately!! ❤❤
Thank you, awesome review! Would love to see a grwm of your most bougie makeup like the Louboutin foundation, would be fun! Loved your go-to makeup video this past week too!
could you try the ciele foundation. please?
Thank you Morgan for the last year of really insightful research on all these products. You’ve been delightful to watch. Your husband seems very nice, too. Happy New Year to you both!
Loved the video! Would love you to mention which are the best for mature skin when you do your ranking! See what mama says! 😉❤
Morgan, this is one of the best videos of 2024 ❤🎉 thank you for all your hard work this 2024.
I really have been liking your videos and have been watching the old with the new! I am looking forward to your organizing your new closet shelves!
Thanks for including your shades ❤
I live in Thailand. Here we have variety of choices for korean brand. People use cushion probably more than foundation bottle. I really appreciate your review. ❤❤
Hi, Morgan! you crack me up. :) How does the Dior stick compare to the Lancome Teint Idole one? Would the Dior work for oily skin?
Face is where I will splurge. I have dry, acne prone, maturing (43) skin. I will pretty much pay whatever a brand wants for a phenomenal product. But, I'm also a skin tint, sheer to kight coverage girlie. Ive worn IT Cosmetics CC Glow for a couple of years now and just flipped to the Hourglass tint. I've been finding the sunscreen in the IT to cause my eyes to burn lately. So far, the Hourglass is lovely. I did sample the Danessa Myricks Yummy Skin Tint and SuperGoop tint, but wasn't as impressed with those options.
Thanks so much for your in depth opinion on all of these foundations. Happy 2025!🎉🎉
I loved the Tom Ford stick (Porcelain) and got the Dior stick in N2 as well. The Dior feels thicker and creamier when you first put it on, which at first made me worried, but it blends out beautifully, and the effect is pretty much the same as the Tom Ford. It is long lasting as well - I do a lot of Zoom calls at work, and the Dior just makes you look airbrushed all day. Love love love. Re Fenty foundation - Martina Lily did a great comparison with Chanel Les Beiges, the cream version- Chanel wins for both her and me for the same reasons, the Fenty looks and feels almost the same but after an hour or so it starts giving you dry patches and falls apart, so I don't actually like it. The Chanel is flawless (I have normal to dry more mature skin.)
Thank you for this great video in fact all the videos you had made morgan. You are truly work so hard.. love you❤️
I tried 25 of them, my favorites are the About Face and the Ilia. Both are so good. I generally steer clear of luxury foundations because they are usually so highly scented and I have issues with scents causing headaches. I also hated the Physician’s Formula and Supergoop.
Hi Morgan! I just found your channel a few months ago and I'm loving it! We are nowhere near the same skin tone or type, but your content is so refreshing and at times hilarious! ("Stop giving me these! I don't want that!" "Because I'm petty!")
Please keep up the great work and many blessings in the new year!
I wonder how similar the Wet n Wild stick foundation is to the Dior stick foundation since that one was a decent dupe for the Tom Ford one (I think or maybe it was a dupe for the Hourglass stick?). I’d be interested because I have lots of the WnW stick foundation and have ❤ed it for years. *curious Btw, Morgan I love your reviews as a dry skin lady myself and find I’m often happy with or unhappy with the same foundations as you. I trust your professional opinion! You are very thorough and test your products well. Thank you for that! Happy New Year 🎆🎊!
About Faces was a great surprise for me this year. Bought it for $11 during the Ulta 21 days of savings. Had never heard of it but really am enjoying it. Also, could not agree more about LYS which I tried on a suggestion from a Sephora salesperson. Great when my skin is feeling dry.
I bought the Fenty Foundation based on your recommendation and I love it! ❤
I wish more people would have hyped up Shiseido, as their foundations are all so good, plus their colors are fantastic
Morgan can you please do a concealer version of this video! I need a new one that doesn't clog my poor pores...
I have tried some of the foundations in this video and although we dont have the same skin type, her descriptions are very spot on
Morgan HELP me! I wish I could try as many foundations as you. I’m thankful that you do I’m very close to your dry skin type and your skin tone and I love your recommendations. I have freckles and a little bit of discoloration and ALOT of redness(rosacea) to cover, but no acne or texture. I stick to lightweight, moisturizing foundations. I want to try a foundation that sets down on the skin, has decent wear time but doesn’t look dry and I don’t want to powder it. I do have dry skin so I am scared. I don’t think I’ve ever tried a matte foundation. Out of the 40 you reviewed I’m trying to decide between the urban decay face bond, the Bobby Brown, or the Natasha powder foundation. I want a dry down of the urban decay but I like the thought of how you said the Bobby Brown is weightless on the skin because I don’t really care for the feel of heavy make up. I have always wanted to try a powder foundation, but none have worked out for me. That’s why I’m drawn the Natasha. I know what you’re gonna say….You recommend the Fenty lol I do have that and I do love it but I don’t looooooove it. What would you pick for me?!?!
Love your reviews and how detailed it is especially for different skin types. Did you review the Sephora skin tint this year? I currently have been on the yummy skin tint and the Dior foundation stick.
My favorite foundation of the year is Lisa Eldridge skin tint!!!! Hands down everyday non stop since I tried it 🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍
I love the Fenty beauty Solf lit naturally luminous foundation it’s my all time favorite foundation i also have dry skin it so perfect i wore it today at work also I love the super stay skin tint from Maybelline I want to try Haley’s beauty next that’s on my list. Wishing you a wonderful new year may 2025 bring you happiness and good health 💜💜
I try a lot of foundations as a person without a channel. Fenty Soft Lit is it. Use it with a primed brush.
Literally same fenty is unmatched
We are the same shade! Makes life much easier for
Me lol gonna order the hyglam powder!
Loving the " neeh" , "meh" way of reviewing makeup. You could rest your voice and just give us 60 min of "mhmmm" , " meh" and " nahah" ! Id be so happy😂
Thank you for this video! The Catrice Tinted Serum is my favorite for this year! I also use the Dior Backstage and Misha Perfect Cover BB Cream, but they are not new launches.
This was very helpful. Thank you! Have you tested the Ogee foundation stick? I would be interested to know your thoughts.
I’ve only tried 2 of these yet, the elf soft glam satin, and the revolution skin silk. I am the same age as you but my skin is EXTREMELY dry and I’m also very pale. I really enjoyed the elf one and would repurchase; I found the revolution one still a little too dry-looking on me irl but it looks great on camera, so I’ve designated it my Zoom Call Day foundation.
I would like to try the fenty as well as the kosas bb gel. I think if you’re the third-lightest Chanel shade that I have no hope of a match in it, and covergirl doesn’t exist here (UK) so no fun pigment spheres for me. Might also go by a store with a Dior section and see if the lightest shade in the stick foundation is a match as I’d love a good stick and may be willing to splurge if it’s actually my shade.
Good afternoon, Morgan! Yay! I'm so excited to hear your thoughts on what's best!!! 😊
I was obsessed with the Prada foundation the first 7 or so months I had it, but recently, I have had issues with it not holding up long enough. It’s only been lasting nicely for me about 6 hours.
I love Chanel! I am confused between the LesBeiges water fresh complexion touch and the Les Beiges water fresh tint. Are there any differences?
The complexion touch has a little more coverage like a foundation.
Happy New Year Morgan!! 🎉
yay more morgan 🎉
Thoughts on new Dior Hydra Nude when you have a chance
Yeahhhhh your reviews are amazing and very informative ❤ thank you 🙏 happy new and healthy year 🎉
we need videos of all the brushes you use and loves too please 🙏
Obsessed with the Huda foundation and I mix it with the one size for all day wear
Oh my God lol I🙈😆 I thought you were gonna leave the Dior foundation stick out, but you save the best for last😅😮💨🥰
Awesome video you saved me a ton of money thank you.
❤
The Louboutin foundation is fantastic, and I love the Dior foundation sticks. I feel like the LYS and About Face were hard to find a match for me online, I’m 50 miles from a Sephora or Ulta, so online it is. I’m 56, normal aging skin and I love the Dior and Louboutin. I still love the Valentino.
Loved the reviews and the whys
Seeing as you have normal to dry skin you should review the shiseido revitalessence skin glow foundation. It’s a skin care foundation hybrid. I switched from the nars light reflecting foundation to this one. It doesn’t get enough attention for how amazing the shisiedo foundation is.
i love your videos, morgan!
Ive mostly used a lot of BB creams this year, I used up my Nars light reflecting which I loved, and also the Dr Jart and Missha BB creams which I liked. I didn't like the tir tir cushion as it was too dry and heavy, but not tried the pink or silver one. I plan on trying that Fenty one next year, and also some Japanese BB creams
I have been on a foundation journey this year. Loved the Dior stick but the only drawback was that it only lasted about 2 1/2 months and it was gone. I do wear foundation everyday but I feel it should last longer considering the price point. I have also enjoyed Fenty Soft Lit and next would be About Face.
If you love the Fenty I'm surprised you didn't try the Sephora Reveal the Real foundation its amazing and more affordable
Very cool video Morgan, I am very surprise you not try Sephora Reveal the real skin tint 😅 this product is a very good surprise for me!
I would really like her to try this one too
My favourite topic! Thank you ❤
Please review Ciele skin tint
I always love to try new foundations even i don't have a Channel, i have a soft spot for them. I usually go for soft matte medium / buildable high coverage ones ( i am combo). This year i've brought Mac Radiance, Revlon Colorstay and Guerlain Terracotta and the first ones i've already finished them 😂 and the Guerlain one it will be gone at the beginning of 2025 that's how much i liked these foundations. When you have a few and you grab only some all the time ,that says a lot ! I already plan on repurchase them, i just wait a sale ❤
Absolutly excellent work ❤
Thank you!!!!!🙏
I am winning if Morgan tells it like it is❤️❤️❤️.
I keep trying the Fenty Soft Lit but it always makes me look older but I am 49 😒. The Prada was too drying I gave it away, the Makeup Forever wasn’t good on my skin got rid of it, the Chanel can even look dry on me in my smile lines…. I like the Elf Soft Glam enough though. I’m pretty sure I’d like the About Face so I will try that one next….
I haaaated one/size, huda and tom ford architecture foundations. All utterly unusuable. Loved Bobbi Brown and Louboutin foundations. Both very nice indeed. The Louboutin is my HG for sure. Didn't love Prada, acted like a much cheaper foundation, and I agree about the short wear time.
Could you do a powder foundation video?
Max Factor has similar foundation to that Chanel with bubbles. I would like you to review that one if it is better dupe than covergirl
This was such an enjoyable video!!! Happy New Year Morgan and Jose!!! You both work so hard and I hope 2025 is everything you want it to be and more!! ❤🎉 #DreamTeam
Please do a tutorial for this makeup look!
Tried so many foundations and they seem to pull on the warm side. I finally purchased a blue color corrector and that seemed to work. Only really great shade matches I found was Estée Lauder and Lancome.
Haley’s Beauty makes the best sponge and foundation brush.
The best foundation I tried this year was hands down Haus Labs. No other foundation looks so good at the end of the day as this one on my skin, it's also lightweight and looks so natural. I bought new Fenty foundation and I liked it but it looks a bit heavy and patchy at the end of a day on me (I need 12h wear time). There's also no good shade match for me, I bought 110 but it's a bit too light and pink and 120 is too dark.
Hi, i am planning to buy my fisrt high end foundation. I have dry skin and medium skin tone. I am confused between dior forever skin glow foundation, nars light reflecting foundarion and george armani luminous silk foundation. Please advice which one is best for my dry skin. I really like your videos. Please reply thanks❤
I have been using my Dior daily :)
Catrice is hard to buy since it's online only now. Hard to figure out the color. 8:11
I think my skin is really like yours except that I’m older.
The new Hydra Nude Dior looks nice too waiting for reviews tho! 🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍
Haven't seen one person who likes the ABH stick, and yet it got best of allure?
Can someone please tell me the time stamp where she reviews Too Faced “Born this way”! I can’t watch an hour long video. I tried skimming through it by skipping ahead 10 sec but I must have missed it. Also, what was her #1 pick? Fenty? Thx in advance. 😊
Too faced born this way- 38:25
Thank you!
Every time I wear my about face foundation I get compliments on my makeup
Yeah I realize my skin after 28 was starting not look like my early 20s
Im looking to replace my em cosmetics cushion foundation. I received a really dry foundation compact and its so expensive. Anyone know of a good dupe or similar foundation?
I need a new foundation and I’m stuck between the about face and the Dior stick 😩 if anybody sees this and has any suggestions let me know… then also Dior has a new foundation they just released that sounds delicious as well ugh. I don’t want to buy all of them because I don’t wear make up often enough to justify that 😭
Get the about face. It is amazing and way better than the dior stick foundation, in my opinion
@ that’s the one I’m leaning more towards now honestly! Plus the price is amazing and the shades in Dior look like I won’t get my exact match but the about face looks like I’d be able to get a great shade match
@LucaWenner awesome! Yes, they have wonderful shade matches😊
@ how do you feel about the newer Fenty foundation? Have you tried that one? Sorry for all the questions 😩
ok y'all ik this is so off topic but I bought the new Sephora favs spring glow up kit in store. but online it shows completely different products then in store. what do u think I should do?
47:39 PLEASE GO ON THE RANT. Im so tired of hearing "oh you're just too poor to buy it, he's luxury" when his quality is moldy, and falling out if the packaging. And he hasnt been around long enough to be "luxury", he hasnt earned that status like PML has. (Pml has issues now, but the brand has established itself) Ta is just pricing his customers out trying to chase "luxury"
I must be the only person who doesn’t like the Dior stick foundation. It looks dry on, even though I have combination skin. It’s also so texture-y on my skin! Tom ford stick is much more smoothing! I bought every one I could. Dior also doesn’t have a color that works for me. Sigh.
You are not the only person. I 100% agree with you!
@ oh good. Sad, because they go on soooo quickly and smoothly but - 🤷🏼♀️!
🥳💜🥳💜🥳💜
😊
✨💖✨
💕💄
Have you tried the La Mer foundation? If yes, how does it compare to the Christian Louboutin? The CL would be half the price and I have been looking for something I love just as much as La Mer for over a year. Thanks🫶
