Hiiiiiii Michael!😀 It's been some time since I've seen your videos, and WOW!!! What a show! 🤩💯 The growths and blooms were magnificent! And yes, as soon as you can find a moment, or two☺️ get the babies that needs it the most, repotted. I was satisfied with the length of your video. There's was great content for your viewers. Me at least...😉 Thank you for the showing. Nice set up too! Have a great remainder of your day.
I have two divisions from Cattleya that my grandmother had and they were so close to dying. Your videos not only saved them, but they're putting on gigantic new leaves! I hope they'll bloom for me for the first time soon (I've had them probably 15 years) and when they do, I would like to offer you divisions if it's something you'd like for your collection. It doesn't appear as though you're a huge Cattleya fan, but these might actually classify as heirloom, since they are at least 40 years old, probably more than 50. I actually don't even know what the blooms look like, they may not be anything particularly interesting being so old. But I just wanted to "plant the seed," so to speak, to measure your interest. I offer them in gratitude for your efforts here and at the very least wanted to thank you from the depths of my heart for helping me save something my grandmother loved.
Hi Michael, I didn't even know you had a Hibiki and I watch all your videos 😆 but I agree with you, I try to pass my plants to other growers if I don't LOVE them, even if they do really well for me. I like this format for the monthly update, even if you don't talk about so many plants, you can see others in the background which I like 👍😉
Great update as always. I enjoy your updates, long or short, you keep it moving and are not really. I'm interested to see how your plants are doing since you've had them for so long and I feel invested since I've watched you for so long haha
There are precious few plants in my collection that I can't live without: Zygopetalum Debbie de Mello 'Honolulu Bay' (the plant that started my Zygo obsession), Neostylis Lou Sneary 'Blue Bird' (the color and the fragrance), Dendrobium Jaquelyn Thomas 'Uniwai Supreme' (again, color and fragrance and just blooms for months and months) and Clowesia Rebecca Northen 'Grapefruit Pink' (the fragrance, so nice). There are others that if I lost them it wouldn't be the end of the world. As for the video, shorter, longer, whatever works for you. If you do decide to add any new plants, one I think would be a good choice for you because it is small, but produces quite large blooms for the plant, is Slc Faikon Ball. Not always easy to find (I think Norman's has some, or did last time I checked). It is not fragrant but look it up, I think you would like it. A summer blooming Phal, like violacea or bellina, would probably be another option but I think the leaning growth habit would get on your nerves. 🤣
Thanks a lot for such a show.... I am very interested in your epidendrums at the moment as my sole epidendrum fragrans is full of keikis and am wondering how long I should wait before doing anything...
The first thing your comments about culling your collection made me think of is "He's Marie Kondo'ing his orchids!" 😂❤🙌🏻
Your videos are awesome. Shorter will be just as good.
