In this Adobe Photoshop tutorial, I'll show you my particular method and technique for creating wavy, blinged out text in Photoshop. This is a style that was popularized by Pen & Pixel in the 90s and since then has been copied but also added upon. For examples, check out designers like DBruze, Danshizen and Marino Morwood. This is my take on it. Evolution, baby.
Reminder: Use a canvas size of 15" x 25" at 300 DPI resolution if you're designing a t-shirt and/or want the presets below to work as shown in this video!

hard video man. you should do a tutorial on these new kind of designs being made in streetwear its almost like pen and pixel mixed with pulp fiction art style by brands like activty la, superficial, blazzy, etc if you can
Appreciate it. No doubt, I love that style. Never met Blazzy, but he's the homie on IG. I don't know if I'm good enough at that style to do a tutorial, maybe he'll do one some day haha.
I really like your videos and I have watched most of them, if possible can you guide or share me and everyone on how to create styles so that they can follow your videos. That helps me and everyone else watch your videos without interruption.
The cool thing about Photoshop is that you can purchase any of my Styles and look at the exact settings I used for everything. So it would be easy to teach yourself.

The actual gold, wavy texture is just a stock image. I'm honestly not sure how you would create that from scratch, haha.

Actually this design style was started by a company called Phunky Phat Grafix in the Bay Area where all the rappers had gone and later adapted by Pen & Pixels. Preciate you bring it back. I bought the mega package and bout to get busy. Much love bro.
Appreciate you watching, but I'd have to respectfully disagree on Phunky Phat starting the style. I don't see any clear examples of them using the arched text w/lightning, diamonds, gold, etc that became so popular before Pen & Pixel started doing it in 1995. Both obviously influenced each other, but apples and oranges. Just my opinion, all love.

You see the boxes in the top left corner, kind of under the word File? Make sure that second box is checked that says "Add to selection"

WHERES THE DIAMONDS AND GOLD TEXTURES FROM?
I believe I purchased the gold seamless texture from a stock image site (paid for the correct license) then I added the other elements into it, like the gems and extra colors.

If I want to use the polygon lasso tool, there is a mistake. The colour red goes the whole time over the colour white

I wish. Adobe Photoshop on an iPad or tablet is completely different than laptop or desktop and for that reason, many of the presets/tools I create are not compatible. I hope Adobe sorts that out soon.

ive got a problem with my layers.. every time i click on the outside stroke with the magic wand, it copies the shadow layer too..
Make sure you have the "Contiguous" box checked at the top.

Mine says not enough source pixels selected when I try to do the red fill. Also why are my letters pixelated when I zoom in & your aren’t?

What laptop would you recommend for photoshop? Or computer?
Honestly, anything will work as long as it has the power to run Photoshop. I personally use a 17" MacBook Pro and 27" iMac. Bigger screen is nice for design, but also good to have an option you can travel with.

Hey man when I use the Polygonal tool, it doesn't do multiple selections like yours does? it only allows me to do one, then doesnt let me fill it at all? I'm very confused please help
Yes, you see the 4 boxes at the top of your screen under the word "File"? Make sure the second box is checked that says "Add To Selection"

Dude instead of using shitty screen recording programs literally just use OBS it's great for screen recording and streaming, should work with Mac aswell as it does PC
Also, look into getting a good PC with a good processor and GPU, alot of gaming PC parts are used for content creation nowadays, photoshop, adobe premire, 3D animating software simply because good GPU's and processors are literal powerhouses and make rendering and screenrecording effortless
