I absolutely love Stephen Fry and I think Sandi Toksvig was a great choice to host this show when Stephen finished up his amazing run. It's so fun to see these earlier QI rounds.
Could SOMEONE SOMEWHERE PLEASE just post the Fry episodes from Series A ep 1 until he handed it to Sandi? Please? It really does just get funnier in order. And BLUE WHALE?
There were two YT channels that did as you were asking about, but I am not sure if they are still there as the BBC will lodge copyright strikes. You just have to keep searching. As to "Blue Whale?" if that is a question about why the blue whale is quite often, it was an answer to an early question and then Alan thought it was the answer to another, something about thinking it could eat large things but it doesn't, it eats tiny krill and similar small fishes. Since then it has become a running joke, and very occasionally an actual answer just to wind up Alan.
It’s astounding how much alike the first Duke of Wellington looks in his paintings to that photograph I have a lot more respect for historical portraits. I thought painters would always be paid to make people look better therefore wrong. Napoleon did that that’s why his paintings can’t be entirely trusted
He would probably be more positive thinking "I've had a wonderful life, entertaining and educating millions for several decades - time to go" I agree on that we need more like him.
A show that "awards points for being interesting" but never actually does, invites comedians on to make jokes, then sets up a joke and takes points away when the comedian makes the joke, and is fascinated with the scatological and grotesque.
It's weird, because I never had an issue with her as a guest, or hosting the News Quiz. But whatever persona she puts on for hosting QI is just... Intolerable
