My place to stand means that I have a Whanau I I have a tribe and I have Whenua and because of those connections I have my place....... I am not confused about my identity as I know and as long as I have one drop of my ancestors blood flowing through my veins no one can take my identity from me....... Some people have observed that even though though PĀKEHA have land in New Zealand they seem lost as they have lost the connection to their ancestors ...... My place to stand is far more important than it seemed at first.......
There is a lot of fair skinned Maori, my Son is blonde with green eyes and white skin. Most people wouldn't pick I'm his Mother as I'm the complete opposite lol.
