- A group of tenants in the Bronx say they've been victimized over and over again by out-of-control teenagers. CBS2's Kevin Rincon spoke to some of those residents.
If these thugs are found to be living in public housing, then they and their families should be evicted.

I saw the seniors being interviewed. They broke my heart. At that age, when they can’t protect themselves and fight back. They need to lock up those kids and I don’t care how young they are. If they’re doing that now, imagine what they’ll be doing in a few years. If they can’t lock them up give them community service..Make them clean streets, pick up garbage, etc. Give them work to make them tired so they won’t terrorize old, helpless people. Just throwing them in jail does nothing to help the situation. Some of them kids only see negativity in their lives. Jail isn’t a place to reform a young mind. They’ll be even more hateful when they get out. Where are the inner city youth programs?? Positive role models? There’s got to be more positive programs to help guide these young ones. They’re our future. We need to invest more attention to building positive relations between the young & old.

The worst part is when you approach their (often young) parents, they're the absolute first to say "Not miiiiinnnne" when it's very much THEIRS that is terrorizing the neighborhood. If we cannot get the parents to comply and bring their nasty pup to boot, then they get the prison cell or a more permanent solution. I'm tired of this and they had better be glad it's not MY mother.
@@michellecarvajal4088 it's not the only solution, but it is certainly an option. These kids need to know how a life in prison and a record are hard to come back from. The parents are often the problem, but the streets, a horrific educational system and poverty are Numero 1, 2 and 3.

He has had to deal with kids being rowdy so he should have been able to deal with that situation IF IT WAS A NORMAL SITUATION. Why do kids bother neighbors usually? Because they are bored and for fun they prank neighbors and in those normal situations if you make it harder for them to pull pranks ( increase security, organize neighborhood watch , etc ...) They will give up and try to find other ways to entertain themselves but if someone is actually paying them to " bother" residents of a building or buildings then you will see them be more " motivated " than normal . Even resorting to violence.
You mention that it is happening in a lot of places... That's not a good counterargument, the people paying the kids could have own many buildings or this is more likely they are friends with the owners of the other places and during their golf meetings they decided to use the same strategy to cause the current residents to leave.
I mean imagine it's a lot of money in play now. Think about it, some of those places have rent control so they cannot charge as much as they would want to. Some of those places have people behind on rent , but are protected by the law from eviction...just think

The kids and young adults doing things like this nationwide have parents who are most likely incapacitated in some way (drugs, prison, mental health problems). Most, even single working parents, discipline their children HARD when they step out of line. Sadly, there's a growing segment of American society that have problems they cannot fix on their own, and they're having children... (consider the Parkland, FL shooter who had a drug addict for a mom) ... a toxic combo right there. This is so sad. I feel for these residents.
