Love this! I am just so thrilled at how more people are discovering the joy of Abba’s Shabbat and festivals - I remember that when I was 12 n learning about it with my mom when we started our own journey on this. Such a great discussion from you two! 💜

I know the richness in Messiah in celebrating the feast.
But is it a sin not celebrating them?
If is not a sin, why isn’t a sin if one cannot do the feast according to the law, since there’s requirements according to the law.
I’ll appreciate it if I can get biblically responses
    Thank u
    Happy Hanukkah

Can anyone find an example of an Israelite in exile, keeping the feasts? I tried and was surprised that I couldn’t find one. It makes me second guess keeping them now.

@ Great video! I still don’t think there any examples in the Old Testament, but your evidence from the epistle and the early church about Passover is helpful. In matters of dispute like when the feast day is, do we just do our best and God will accept that? Is there an authority that he left for us on earth to follow regarding that?
I think about Jeraboam. I’m sure that in Jeraboam’s mind, he was doing his best with what he had.

Yes. You are correct. But more importantly is “why” Jewish festivals were “kept” in the first place. All feasts commanded by God were in anticipation of the Christ. Since He has come and indwells the souls of Believers, these festivals are no longer applicable.
Daniel was a good example as you pointed out. His worship changed to DAILY PRAYER and reading of Scripture looking towards Jerusalem. We do the same now towards our Jerusalem - ABOVE….as Paul mentioned in Galatians 4:26. Christ is the embodiment of all Old Testament feasts, sabbaths and customs. Our anticipation now is looking for Him in the clouds to bring us to the place He has prepared for us (John 14:1-3).

Biblically, no one can keep the feasts as directed. They can be memorialized, and I find this remembrance to be of great benefit. It certainly makes more sense to be aware of and acknowledge the things God ordained instead of following things man has made up. We can still eat unleavened bread and acknowledge the Passover since we have passed from death into life. We can celebrate for a week at Tabernacles, looking forward to the return of Messiah. Even Christianity remembers Pentacost.

But you have now and then an invented 13th month to make things fit. Weird.
