Hispanic is an Ethnicity and Culture not a race .
      Asian is a race.
Filipinos are HISPANIC Asians due to Historical Link to Spain same with Latinos.
      Latinos:
      Race: American
Ethnicity Culture : Hispanic with their Indegenious culture .
      Filipinos:
      Race: Asian
Etnicity Culture : Hispanic with their Indegenious culture.
      I hope its clear ♥️

@@kokomartin8211 I don't think so and I don't agree that most of us Filipino considered ourselves being hispanic chu chu because not all Filipinos have spanish blood, yes we have loan words and we are Christian but it doesn't mean we considered ourselves Hispanic and also we have chinese blood and we also practice their traditions that most foreigner don't know and we also have Philippine Hokkien which is known locally as Lán- nâng- uē it is a dialect not CREOLE of the Hokkien language of the Southern Min branch. So, tell me, are we considered also being Chinese? And most people here don't look spanish at all they mostly look our asian neighbour and especially if you go here you still considered as foreigner because we don't care who you are and where you came from and if you speak spanish here mind you, you feel alienated. If you want to speak Spanish just go in Zamboanga but expect yourself that most of the people their don't speak or understand you because the people living their are mixed kind of Filipino ethnic language.
So, can you don't speak for us being considered ourselves being Hispanic? For Gods sake! it's over 333 years or more being colonized by them and we already move with our life and Spanish/ Spaniards here we don't care anymore and those are still foreigner if we look at them.
And please stop spreading misinformation about us, because it will look like that we desperate being Spaniards and in reality in the Philippines Spaniards are still colonizers and they have not anything special about them.

There is a Spanish creole language spoken particularly in the southern city of Zamboanga called Chavacano, and it basically sounds like Spanish without the conjugation, and the pronunciation, of course, naturally uses a Filipino accent (like when most Filipinos speak actual Spanish). In counting, I realized that Cebuano can count in 3 languages (it makes 4 including English).
Tagalog: Isa, dalawa, tatlo.... so on.
Cebuano: Isa, duha, tulo... so on.
Older Generation (usually used in apprehending/scolding): uno, dos, tres.. (When Filipino mothers scold, they call your name with uno, dos, tres and they have the tsinelas ready for spanking. Lol)
Older generation Cebuanos tend to count money in Spanish, so it could get tricky for me to understand if it goes beyond 100 pesos. Noventay nueve, yes. but when they start to go ciento, my head gets foggy. lol.
The recent encounter I've had was 2 months ago up in the mountains in Cebu. My boyfriend and I bought 2 kilos of pomelo from a local farmer. And we thought we gave sobra for a tip, but we missed the ciento part haha. So we actually owed him ciento setenta y cinco. We only understood the setenta y cinco haha. We gave doscientos instead after we realized we didn't pay him enough.

Pacific Islander identity are only for Fil-Ams who are confused of their origins so its their issue not Philippine born individuals.
LOL.....we were a Hispanic Culture even when the U.S.A colonized us and it was only after WWII that we entirely lost Spanish as a national language. Still, many are clamoring for its return so who knows?
Anyway, the Philippines is a a Cross road and melting pot of many cultures that we are hard to discern as being just having one identity abd that is a paradox by itself. You can literally find all type of blood mix here and we are historically Hispanics, have been anglicized, nipponized, Sinonised, Koreanized and what have you. We are smack right in the Middle of IndoChina and the Pacific and have China, Japan abd Korea as close door neighbors too.

Filipinos are Asian with Spanish culture but Americanized. But the problem you get with closing Filipinos in a box is that by definition Filipinos are a result of intermixing, trading, migration, and colonization of different kinds of people. It is easy to mistake someone with a name of Juan dela Cruz as Hispanic yet is Asian as it gets but looks like a Pacific Islander.

    • @chewy6487
      @chewy6487 Рік тому +1

Not all Pacific Islanders look the same. Micronesians look like Southeast Asians. Melanesians look African. And Polynesians are a mix of Melanesian and Micronesian. You dont know us

lol. It's not that the Dominican Republic is not well known. Jollibee's marketing strategy is still focused on their Filipino patrons outside of the Philippines. Unfortunately, opening up Jollibee in countries with lesser Filipinos is still too much of a risk unless of course a local investor would bring its franchise into the Dominican Republic or Jollibee gets popular enough that the risk is minimized.
