I may or may not have snuck into Germany on a couple of occasions due to me losing one of my licence plates back in the day when we weren't able to travel freely across Europe. It involved printing a life sized paper copy of my other licence plate and sticking it onto cardboard and onto the car. Or not. Hoped it didn't rain until I got a replacement. Or I just made up the whole thing idk.
Did you have a chance to visit Krakow while staying in Poland? It's pretty amazing and kind of a 'cultural capital city'. There's even a medieval castle towering over a river :) If you like history I highly recommend it. There's a Jewish district that survived WWII and is now a vibrant and popular spot in the city. I'd love to be your guide some time. My Jewish uncle who was a Holocaust survivor passed away recently and I feel obliged to share his story. PS. Best of luck on your travels.

I would love to know what you are doing in Warsaw. In other words, how did you move from teacher to? And you should have had a Polish TRC by then which would mean you could go anywhere in Schengen.?

I know its a bit too late but Im travellong a lot , many times in crazy way ( I drove from UK to Poland like 4 times within Covid quarantine era and drove my Van from UK through France to Switzerlamd also during Civid times) and France cannot check your Passport through land borders, like when you travel by car as France is in EU they don't check Paasports!! So for example you can take your Passport ( invalid one ) and fly to nearest Italian city to Cannes and take bus or train ... Like Turin or Genoa and no problems. You may consider that next time😊

Always fun to watch. Why would you need passport flying from Poland to France? It's like going from California to New York. No borders. My mom lives in Poland and travels all over Europe without a passport
Your mom can only travel to countries in Schengen area in Europe without passport. Other countries usually require either passport or Visa. Althought Emma didn't have Polish passport back then so I guess as she is American she needs passport or Visa to travel to most countries in Europe since The US Sint in Schengen area.
