Hey Amigo ! I watched your video …. Found the same saw with battery and charger on Amazon for $150.00 …. Free shipping ! Awesome ! It was $199.00 at Lowe’s …. They had the pole saw on Amazon for $150.00 as well … got that too …. Geez $300.00 for the two saws 2 batteries and two chargers w/free shipping !! Seems like a pretty decent deal !! I had the Lynxx set up from Harbor Freight prior to getting this Skil set up …. There stuff worked absolutely fine (actually costed more than the Skil back when I bought it) and I would have been happy to keep using the Lynxx tools … but now they stopped carrying the lynxx line of stuff so you can’t get batteries any more ! So I wanted to get a new set up from a company that has been around a while …, Skil should be able to supply my with parts and service for the foreseeable future !!! Should have know better than to buy a kinda odd ball brand ….
No worries, I’m not a fan of the chainsaw anymore after having it for some time. Battery dies extremely fast and the saw stops repeatedly while cutting small stuff less than 12”.
Good to have that on hand. I am impressed with mine. Suprised at how long it holds charge. Looking forward to following the 450 route, thanks for sharing info on it.
@@Xploring_The_Outdoors yeah the lawnmower 5ah battery should do it well.. I really like mowing on battery power and will probably dump my gas mowers as a result. unfortunately skil batteries are expensive and in low supply on the secondary market.

I have never seen anyone cut a tree into pieces and have the chain coming toward them in a cut. It is a wonder you haven't cut into your leg yet. Might want to buy some chain saw chaps before you do or change the way you cut logs. @17:27
Appreciate your concern, the video angle is kinda deceiving and slowed down for affect my leg was no where near the path of the saw and far enough back the chain wouldn’t hit me. I’ve been cutting trees a long time and always pay attention to the path of the chain, axle or machete will take

This video is literally exactly what I needed!! I had just purchased mine from Lowes for the same deal.
Awesome I’m so glad it was helpful
Sorry; I wrote this comment early before watching the whole thing.
Loved the video.

Thank you, great UA-cam.

@ 5:32, the dog be like..."Oh, Crap! What is he up to now?"

I got one to compliment the electric lawnmower.. and then purchased some of their 12v tools.. seems like a good brand but time will tell

@@RagedContinuum I cut up a 12” diameter tree with mine last week, had to recharge multiple times but it did the job.

Just ordered one at the same price from Lowe’s. Thanks.
No problem glad I was able to help
No video says how much oil and which type of oil goes in there. I did get chainsaw oil but how much do I start with? I just bought the saw.
I just fill the tank for the bar oil
Hope its a good saw... If they lied about 15 min charge it makes me wonder what else they lied about?
Mines messed up already , it’ll be fully charged and keeps stopping on small stuff and the battery dies to fast now. I need to do an update on it
@@Xploring_The_Outdoors Chinese junk!
You need to read the 'fine print' about that 15 minutes. They didn't lie.
Well done Tim. Was looking at a gas Homelite at Lowes yesterday. My Misses wants one for her Birthday.!
For around the house I like this 40v it does good
@@Xploring_The_Outdoors Would be foe home and trail.
Thanks for the review, I'm thinking about getting this saw. its way more affordable than the Makita. The area you are in reminds me of Coastal NC
Thanks yea I live in the piney woods of Texas I’ve never been to NC I’ll have to add it to my list.
@@Xploring_The_Outdoors i went ahead and got the 12" 20v version.. its a lot shorter. i guess we'l see what happens.
I want to buy the skil volt, friend, is it good or bad? What does he say, it would be a good or bad purchase?
Mine still going strong so I would say it’s a decent saw as long as your not expecting to cut huge trees.

Lowe’s has this now until 01APR2023 for 149.00 plus military saves a bit more Hooah.

I have this chainsaw and it cuts off under the slightest of a bind. Any ideas??
I’m noticing mine doing that as well if I figure anything out I’ll make an update video
Which eco flow unit do you have
The river

15 minutes is not to a full charge.
Don’t believe I said that’s fully charged it says on the box 15 minutes fast charge from 0-30% or 60 minutes full charge. I said this in the video
