Pro tip: if you have a lot of valuables or money in your house, get a very secure safe and put it in a hard to find place, and then buy a cheaper, smaller safe and just put a small amount of money in it. A burglar is probably going to assume there's only one safe in the house, so get them to steal from the decoy safe instead of the main one.

People will do almost anything to scare off loud obnoxious drunk teens for sure and a lot of the time I think it works but not always.
Right? My first thought was that that group were the "trashy" ones, not the neighbor who was so frazzled at their inconsiderate actions.

The thing that strikes me about all these Mr Nightmare videos is that most of the time you have people who give no thought to security. In story #2, these rich people had a big house, but no alarm system? No firearms for self defense? No guard dogs? Have fun, but always be a little paranoid. It will keep you alive.
This may not be the first time they followed them/tried to break in they might've known about the system enough to dismantle it
A frightening number of people live their lives thinking, "that will never happen to me," or, "I'll just call the cops."
The first being the sentiment of, like, all victims that ever were. The second being some ignorant belief that all police have superpowers and can appear in seconds or that police are somehow obligated to put their life on the line to save yours... the police have a duty to assess the situation and uphold the law, IF POSSIBLE, but, more often, to investigate and prosecute AFTER a crime gas been committed.
You are responsible for your safety and you are the first responder. Take steps to secure yourself, your loved ones, and your property.
While I generally agree with your statement, and I do have a handgun myself for protection (and I have had a robbery break in at my house while my family slept)
What good is a gun in this particular case? The robbers had the drop on them from the start.
I’m more appalled at the folks (this sorry included) where people keep on getting drunker even after witnessing someone clearly dangerous mess with you. Watch your drinking and stay as clear headed as possible when you just saw 3 sinister guys eyeballing you and your property on a slowly passing boat. You’re gonna need those wits!
@@tylernewton7217 Totally agree with staying clear-headed and alert. And the having a gun is only the first step, without training and your wits, it's worthless, or even dangerous.
Lastly, if some creepy dudes are eyeballing you, staring you down, that's a huge red flag. If your gut instinct is that you're in danger, don't ignore it. Secure the perimeter, get locked down, and stay vigilant. Complacency kills.

Story 1 - I always sympathize with the authors of these Mr. Nightmare stories, but I can see how locals would be angered by Air BnB'rs disturbing their peace.
Why is it whenever people in these stories are being followed they immediately direct the danger straight to their own house?
We wouldn't have a story then.
They don't always lead the people following them to their house, in some of Mr Nightmares stories main characters do actually fool or try to fool the bad guys thinking they live in another street/area.

Not excusing any creepiness or aggression on the neighbors part to scare the kids away, but that first story is giving city kids discovering people live in the middle of nowhere. They were disrespectfully loud and trespassed on that lady's property. There's an unspoken code of conduct when you live that far out but still within ear shot of others and the air bnb host needed to make that clear for visitors.

It's also really stupid that they asked for their money back and actually got it. Everything that happened in this story is their fault and I personally wouldn't give them a dime.

As someone who lives next to 2 noisy AirBnBs, I'm imagining the neighbors in the first story were just trying to scare the party people away. If you've never lived through it, it's hard to imagine how much of an intrusion it is to have a new set of vacationers next door to you every other week/weekend. I still live here, but I could see myself going down some pretty crazy paths to scare off the out-of-towners who don't give a crap if they disturb the entire neighborhood and prevent me from being able to enjoy being outside in my own yard.

if a boat is following you, do not lead them to your house instead either stop the boat or turn off the boat lights to hide
Can't really hide on the water of there is *any* moonlight, but the gist comes across
1) dude thought it was the police and if he stopped, he’d get nailed for a DUI.
2) if they stopped randomly in the water, that boat would over take them and possibly attack them.
3) contrary to what city folk think, the moon and stars exist. It’s not actually pitch black at night and the moonlight reflects off the water, so kind of hard to hide.

The first story stood out for me as Christian and his friends were stalked by the angry middle aged woman and the fact that as Mr Nightmare said, being a whole setup. Where the woman was just a distraction for the two men with axes to enter the house.

What stood out to me was they immediately insult the local as white trash while wasted. Not a good way to gain sympathy from your audience.

First story, I believe the lady was involved and had the two guys scare them off because she wanted them gone since she was annoyed.
As much as I hate to victim blame, the protagonists in these stories weren't completely in the right either. From what I've learned int the first story, don't get an AirBnb in a place that's so isolated and make a bunch of noise where you piss off everyone living nearby. In the second story, never flaunt your wealth in public, and always practice good safety precautions given how some very bad people can also be very smart.
Brad Reese was often seen around in a polo or Tshirt and jeans with sneakers. Smart man, bet he was rather comfortable too.

Story 2. One of you should have been the designated driver. The boat following you is creepy and seeing it by the house is creepier. Now you have someone in the house with guns. You should have alerted the authorities when they passed you the first time.
It always drives me nuts in these stories when the main characters just shrug shoulders and continue getting plastered drunk right after a clearly potentially disasterous run in with some dangerous looking people.

If you're on the water in a boat and you find yourself being followed by someone in another boat, never ever lead them back to where you're staying or if it's your house that's even worse but either way always call the police!

The first story pissed me off. The writer sounds like a typical college kids that think the world revolves around them.
Goes somewhere without doing research of who’s around you. Gets loud, annoying, and generally jackasses.
Then when someone yells to ask you to lower the volume. They insult and be disrespectful to people that live there.
If you go anywhere. Be respectful for who might be around and don’t be a jackass.
People are dumb. They should watch those Iceman documentaries. Kuklinski is a liar for sure, but the stuff he says is still true to a degree. He tells a story about how some college kids messed with him on a remote road and he followed them then executed all three of them. He may or may not have done it, but the fact remains that it's possible.

Mr. Nightmare's stories on UA-cam are truly captivating and enthralling. Listening to them makes me realize how mundane and uneventful my life is in comparison. However, I am grateful that I have not encountered any frightening experiences like the ones he shares. Despite that, I cannot help but be drawn to his stories, as they are undeniably amazing. His storytelling abilities and the suspense he creates keep me on the edge of my seat, eagerly waiting to hear what happens next. Even though these stories are terrifying, I cannot resist the urge to listen to them. Mr. Nightmare's tales are truly one-of-a-kind and leave a lasting impression on the listeners.

In the second story what I don't get is why would they threaten to shoot them when they need to know the safes password? If you think about it, if they were to shoot them, they won't be able to get the password and they end up getting nothing. Those men are dumb.
I'm guessing it's using the fear of the people being robbed. The people may not realize what you said, so they'd comply with the robbers.
Also, I don't think the robbers would mind killing them regardless.
