Nice. There are a decent amount of mkiii videos out but there are less then a handful of actual reviews. Most are for clout or rinsing and repeating all the technical jazz that’s on fn’s page. I previously decided not to get an mrd but I’m kinda feeling like I need one. Would complete the fiveseven family.
Thank you. I try to keep from huat reciting off a web page or press release. I'm looking to highlight more real world performance. I go a little more technical in my tabletop reviews.
@@Gruntreviews I’ve seen both. Your reviews are generally a lot more informative and helpful compared to the other videos that simply appear to be an ad. You don’t always say things I want to hear but that’s where a UA-cam video meets the real world.
I'm gonna do a side by side review with them. I like the grip angle and size of the Rock. I like the texture of the FN. The higher capacity of the Rock is nice, 23vs20. The Rock has a threaded barrel option and is a standard threading. The FN is a $350 extra purchase for the same thing. I do like that safety on the FN.
Does this have the (annoying as hell) magazine disconnect leg on the transfer bar? Can you disable it by trimming that leg like you can on the MkII model? Or moving the eject spring?
Oh, drat. I realized I saw this on your other video! But I never asked if you tried removing it. I never saw the internals. ua-cam.com/video/WmRDsGaPjoE/v-deo.html
@@Gruntreviews I was at the range and my MkII malfunctioned (bone stock). The stupid MDM bar got stuck to side in down position, and trigger wouldn't work. Had to use screwdriver to pry it free. That's what prompted this question. Also this "feature" prevents use of (cheap) MPA magazines (without the nub).

Thank you. I really do appreciate the feedback. Not many take the time to provide it.
I like the idea of 5.7
I can barely afford 556
Maybe a PSA
Next year
I do have a review up on the PSA as well
👍 👍
Thank you
Which did you like more....FN or PSA version?

Where are you getting ahold of your speer gold dot ammo
I bought 5 or 6 boxes last year. Can't remember where I got it. Haven't seen it in stock since.
@Gruntreviews OK, thanks. That's what I thought I hadn't seen any in stocking for a while. Oh and big fan thanks for all the videos

It does have the mag safety. I'll have to do some hunting to see if it can be bypassed.

I always review everything in stock form.
It also contributes to additional trigger pull length and weight. I'd live to see FN do away with it.
