When I was much younger I was all over LV and wanted it all. I thought Goyard was for grandmas xD Couple years later and various fautly bags (that everyone carries) down the road I made the switch to Goyard. Much more exclusive and better qualify. I like LV's more modern and fashionable pieces but they are everywhere, crazy expensive and the quality does not align with the price or the customer service.

I first heard of Goyard, through Lupe Fiasco. On his album The Cool, he name drops the brand on the songs Paris Tokyo, & Gold Watch. Then I went on the Internet and Google the company and read up, on its history.

I love this company and all the trunk houses. For our 40th birthdays my husband and I went to Paris and bought a card case from Goyard. It still looks and smells brand new.

#16 Goyard used to be hand painted mid 2000 they switched to a stenciled approach, still painted by hand but not free handed. Something to be said for both methods. The free hand painted canvas has more character and a unique feel. Every piece is truly unique. The stenciled approach is uniformed and crisp instantly eye catching. No matter what one you go with Goyard is a special company, there is no real competition.
I have a cardholder that is early 2000’s and you can definitely tell it’s hand painted

I have the Saint Louis GM in Orange and I love that it doesnt have logos all over it like LV. EVERYone has an LV bag these days. Other than my Hermes DoubleSens 45, I love this bag and I hope it hold up well in the future.
The Goyard Saigon bag is a must have :)

I hate to be critical, but it's Rue St. Honore, with an accent on the e, making the sound a long a. It cracks me up when people who love luxury goods can't even pronounce the names. How difficult is it in this digital age to learn a foreign language? I know someone who speaks French, Italian and Spanish fluently after nearly a year of listening to Duolingo.

I first heard of this designer this past week because I was looking for an alternative to LV for an everyday quality tote.

Not at all. I own both LV and Goyard. I have abused my St Louis Tote and it looks pretty much okay.
The LV wears much faster :/ and the overall quality has been going on free fall for a couple of years Goyard > LV
I’m talking The customization of monograms painted onto the bags, I sort of agree though my speedy from LV that was made in 1996 held up amazingly then I purchased a speedy B from 2017 and it did not hold up the same, The hardware started chipping a month in and Louis Vuitton basically told me tough shit
The Goyard handles will melt together though in humid hot climates, on the St. Louis tote
I live in an ok climate Southern California so it is not very humid here so I haven't had an issue. My mom owns a custom St Louis and it has held up quite well. I do have the theory that maybe some craftsmen are more skilled than others so maybe that is why people sometimes have issues with some custom stuff. Both my mom and I did custom monograms for our Speedy bags and hers wore much more quickly than mine :/ despite the fact that we gave it the same use. We don't exactly baby our bags but we do take care of them. And also LV customer service was horrible when she tried to make them fix her custom monogram. Makes me rethink about giving them my hard earned money.
In the future I will buy one. Can it be now???? Hehe

I was lucky enough to visit the new Dallas location and scored a purple St. Louis. The SA informed me they only gave each store ten and each year they only do one special color. Purple is my favorite color so it was meant to be and I adore it!

WHO CARES
The earlier Goyard’s were hand painted and are a little different then more modern pieces. I own vintage and modern and you can tell the difference in the dots and the colon. Earlier pieces are not as
symmetrical and in some cases..do not have a colon. DM

it is a french brand, that is the french pronunciation. Please pronounce it as the originator intended and not what is popular.
