I was so frustrated for so long but this video finally gave me my explanation as to why one of my glutes over time stopped firing. Thank you very much mam
Just out of curiosity after sorting the TFL, which glute excercise worked best to help you re-activate and build a mind to muscle connection again? I'm struggling to get my left glute activated again as it has not functioned for years. Any incite would be much appreciated. Thank You
@@cellphoneaddiction4869 i personally have the same issue and find single leg hipthrusts work really well with a light band. Also, controlled kick backs with a band or cable machine (avoid winging leg/foot out though as it can easily fire the tfl more than the glute itself). Another movement/exercise -- try lying straight pronated , band around thighs just above knees and lifting the left leg up squeezing the glute (almost like a lying down hyperextension except your using just the left side/glute) ...put your hand on the glute if you have to in order to feel it & think about the contraction. I also find using a light band when doing leg/glute exercises seems to help, and supersetting whatever exercise I'm doing with single leg work on the left glute (even just simple controlled kick backs with a band)..&have recently started to adopt the 2:1 method of work which is now helping the left side fire up more easily & finally gradually catch up to the right. Its taking a lot of time&focus but its definitely worth it. I also do lateral side monster walks before training with a long band around my foot and do more towards to left side, & this exercise in particular was reccomended by physio&it has helped a great deal !!
Great job! This release really helped! I arm stretch and position of the hip really helped after I watched many body builders and other try to tackle this trigger point. You way worked!
Thank you so match. I've been learning biomechanics. I have bought the 10w and a power of posture. And Finally I know one of my disfunction. Not just, but i can explain. Thank you!
Miss, I by chance or destiny found your video on the TFL several days back, I have struggled with this malady for several months, had tried every stretch imaginable with little help. After a few sessions of your instructions, I have made tremendous progress. The culprit seems to be too much sitting that caused this problem ? (my guess) Anyway I am getting back to walking and slow jogging again and to you Miss, thank you and bravo for your knowledge.
Good video Kathy, the TFL has been giving me lower back pain for the past 6 months or so! After releasing them, it went away for me quickly. I didn't even know that the TFL existed....
So well explained. Thank you soooooooo much!! But hey... 5 to 30 minutes, each day? That's a lot of time but if that's what it needs then, I'll keep on doing it! Is it possible that after a few days and after the pain is gone that you might need less time?
groin or gracilis hurts when stretced. and i have tight tensor facia latae and sartouris in the tensor facia im doing trigger points on the muscle and in the sartouris its hurts on the bone its attached to. i dont know if my groin or gracilis is tight or weak or if its been strained but it happened a half year ago the day after a football match what u think it is? and i also haave pain under the kne cap on the tibia. u got any advice? because i stretched my hip and pain got away for an hour then i tried next day stretching my hip and it didnt help. i foam rolled my quads and pain got away for an hour and next day i did the same thing and pain didnt get away. the same with tenso facia, and i also thought that it was patellar tendonitis and osgood schlatter and it band tendonitis other names i didnt remember. you must help me with this wierd thing one thing help and then it doesent help and another thing help and that doesent help. the pain get right back (i only have pain when squatting and when i touch the under the kneecap at the tibia bone) do you think you could help me with this wierd thing. and yes i been to a doctor 2 times and they both said incorrectly things. i would appreciate your help, sorry about my english im from denmark. i told you most things about my leg so i hope you can help me.
autogenic inhibition is when you increase muscle spindle activity to stimulate golgi tendon activation . The golgi tendon organ is at the end of your muscle and inserts into the bone it controls senses changes in muscle tension and allows the muscle to relax . The muscle spindels will send messages to your brain that send messages back to the golgi tendon nerve telling it to relax So by holding the most tender spot for at least 30 sec you will get a full release . After that if you feel like rolling back n forth to push blood through muscle feel free

What machine work for latissimus dorsi
Can using a massage gun/tool accomplish a similar result?
Beautiful, and as a bonus, I learned something very helpful too.
Very informative, thank you.
Very good explained.

You have beauty body :) definitely you do something right in workouts :)
I love it!
I’ve been doing this but it just keeps tightening, it’s like this release Technique only tightens it some more
The release is only as good as the corrective exercise afterwards to retrain that muscle into a position where it should be
I gotta strengthen glutes and adductors(inside thigh I think) unless it’s abductors bc then nothing can help the tfl and itll just keep getting tight
I can’t ever find this
Awesome vid ! Thanks
I love u
hold for 30 seconds to achieve autogenic inhibition
Mr Fight Guy what does this mean
