      @@nazimsakhri1558damn, it was 4 years ago now but I don't recall it being very difficult. I know I was probably cautious so probably did it a bit slower than in this video but the end result was that it worked first time and I saved money on not needing to buy a crimper.

    advise: there's a n extra wire inside the cable you pull and drag it and it slices the casing vertically, instead of slicing the cable and twisting it back and forth like in 1:30, this way you won't slice the insulation on the internal wires by mistake or degrade the metal wires by twisting it, both mistakes introduce noise to the signal slowing the connection, no use getting a cat6 cable and make it perform like cat5e, it's almost twice the price

    Like a pro. The amount of time I spend faffing about with these, when as I go to push it in the wires change order, or you end up with two wires going down one pin slot and getting stuck. Never ever stay flat and in the correct order when I put them in.

    • @AndrewSME
      @AndrewSME  3 роки тому +2

      "wires change order" This part 2:56 holds all the wires firmly and pushes in the wires slowly.
      "Never ever stay flat"
      come to this part 3:00 right hand hold the connector firmly and the left hand push hard and squeeze in the wires deep inside to the connector.
      3:05 from here you can see all the wires reach the end. If not push hard and squeeze in the wires again.

      Try to narrow down the problem. Make sure is it the problem came from LAN cable or from the computer problem. Few ways for troubleshooting by exchange RJ45 connector to another LAN port at your Switch hub or use another LAN cable to verify. If it is LAN cable problem either one of the RJ45 connector problem or cable broken.

      Did you see near the end where he was pushing down over the cable and then pins, and each different part popped? I'm pretty sure those are locking mechanisms that can't be unlocked again.

    I appreciate you showing us how to fix (replace) the plug. But I find it hard to understand if you already have a crimper on hand to properly replace the RJ45 plug correctly. This is not good for the connectors as you bent the plastic very poorly and could later cause a very bad connection in the near future. I strongly do not recommend this type of DIY for a first timer, plus this can cause injury to them if their not careful. PEOPLE, Please use the proper tools for this so that you don't have to repair the plug down the line in the future or have to injure yourself also. REMEMBER SAFETY FIRST!!!
