If people only knew how much specialized design, machine, and hand work goes into the products that we use everyday, perhaps they would appreciate them and the people that made them more.
Another excellent video by Factory Monster. These shoes are a world away from mass-produced junk like Nike. I sometimes produce hand made shoes without any complex machines - partly due to expense and partly due to my stubbornness - and watching professionals follow the same process armed with years of experience and skill, and the magnificent mechanical assistance that machinery brings is inspiring me to stop playing around with remote control helicopters so I can go and make a few more pairs of shoes.
