I absolutely love this channel, I genuinely don't understand why you don't get more views, these videos are fascinating.
This.
There's not enough awareness I don't think. One of the very finest channels
Bout too with Adam savage tie in. Adams great guy hope he plugs Obj on tested
Yes
People would rather watch narcissistic airheaded "influencers" living their pointless, meaningless lives than learn about science.
Brady: These boxes over here are going to tell the story of Schrödinger's Ca...
Me: Cat!
Brady: Candidacy
He’s both a member and not a member at he same time. It’s only when you open one of the boxes that the fact of his membership collapses into one of the two definite states.
Also Brady you may be one of the most important educators on UA-cam. Thanks for your awesome content!
This video is both terrible and amazing until I watch it. Then it becomes amazing!
Schrodinger: beloved by scientists as a genius and by the general public as a meme
Well done! Greetings from Chicago......luv this channel ❤
This is amazing. Objectivity is full of amazing gems
Schrodinger in his grave everytime anyone makes a cat joke: 🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄
Maybe he is or maybe his is not.
so interesting! another good example shows that a physical signature is 100 times better than an electronic one.
Erwin was quite the ladies man. His personal life was just as interesting as his academic life. I'm glad you didn't go there though! Thank you for the video!
I've got a feline there'll be more cat jokes in the comments
Catastrophic humor level.
You're not lion.
Your videos are so delightful. Espeacially in this times....thank you! Honestly! :)
I used to love seeing the zero dislikes on this channel when you got in early.
That is so Schrödinger: Schrödinger's candidacy.
I'm happy he got in, good for him!
Love this channel so much
00:23 -- Actually, there is one universe in which he does get to join the RS and one where it's a thumbs down.
This video was one long nerdy joke and I loved it. :)
This is the first time I've heard Eamon de Valera referred to as a mathematician and not, y'know, one of the founders of the Irish Republic.
Local mathematics teacher Eamon de Valera
First time I've ever heard of him. Was it not for this comment I would've not known this fact
Yes, “noted politician” is underselling it a little bit 😂
Love these videos! Binge watching now :)
One (little) remark concerning 7:15 , Darwin would most certainly NOT be on Twitter. ;)
Love for these people that allow(ed) us to understand the universe in which we live.
Weirdly, the first time I clicked on the link for this video, nothing happened. The next time I tried to "open", it played.
What happened to Keith? Apparently I'm out of the loop
Can you do Ramanujan's notebooks some day?
The video's thumbnail:
At a quick glance he looks like James Woods, or his brother
|Shrödinger> = α |Austria> + β |Ireland>
Now I want a video about Turing 🙂
Brilliant
I guess looking in the charter book first would have let the cat out of the, ...box.
Purrrrrfect video
I love this!
In the picture where Schrödinger was lighting his pipe, I thought he was holding a kitten!
Awesome
If is ever made a bio movie about Schrödinger, (younger) James Woods should be the main character
James Woods doesn't believe in science and would never take the role.
How many more cats can we get in [to the video]?: we won't know until we look
Max Born - grandfather of Olivia Newton-John
I wonder, are our century going to be as prolific in producing great names like the last...🤔
We have lots of great scientists, but many things are discovered in group, also they haven't really made the historical books yet
Brady look like prof. James Moriarty
Why is Stephen Fry not the Fellow of the Royal Society????
Brady, have you ever accidentally dropped or even just tripped while carrying something in the RS?
Did the cat get in?
why didnt Einstein sign book?
was wondering the same thing
You spelt cat catastrophically wrong.
Until you open the 2nd box, Schrödinger will remain in two states at once. He will simultaneously be a member, and not be a member.
Has that registry ever been valued? I reckon it might rival manuscripts of Principia.
Not valued, because it will never be for sale, unless the Royal Society ends and liquidates. Not in our lifetimes.
@@WhatAboutTheBee Quite right too. Some things are beyond value.
Arvind Sarveshwar
I take it Rupert Baker does the same job as Keith?
how can you tell that an Austrian is brilliant?! ...they leave the country....
much love from Austria xD ;)
I hope you aren't including Hitler on that list
I waited and waited and waited...but no cat either dead or alive
in either box...oh well maybe next time
I don't think E.S. liked cats!
Thanks for sharing buddy love the videos
He is buried in Alpbach, been there for wintersport. Visited his modest grave at the church, but it sticks out since it was the only one with the psi wave function symbol on it.
Does it mention that he abused little girls on it or did they miss that?
His contributions to science are great but I cannot idolise such a despicable man.
"He was invited [to Ireland] by Eamon de Valera a noted Mathmetician and also a noted Irish politician."
Referring to de Valera as simply a "noted Irish politician" is the understatement of the century.
Ironic that Schrödinger, the man that conceived of being in two states, has his RS membership suspended because of two states: Austria and Ireland.
Which one is my country? IDK, Austria, Ireland who knows, maybe a little bit of both until observed?
Rupert!!! Good to see our guy Rupert again!
I'm glad you guys made a "what's in the box" joke. I really feel at home on this channel.
How awesome is that?!
**insert Schrodinger jest**
I was hoping to catch a glimpse of the signature of my grandfather, Sir Rudolf Peierls, who was elected FRS in 1945, but perhaps it was on a previous page.
Next up: Schrödinger catdicity for president of purriversity of feline.
The value of that book in open auction my god
where is KEITH ?
This channel is like treasure hunder for science lover ....... I love its videos......thanks for sharing
@ 5:32 Professor Schrödinger has gone native in Dublin. He is lighting up a Peterson System Standard briar pipe. Peterson has been making pipes in Dublin since 1865.
I am ashamed that I didn't see the Schroedinger's cat joke coming right away 😂
Thanks for letting the cat out of the bag
Fantastic video! Cheers.
HEY Brady, please make a video of S. Ramanajun FRS.
Number one!
No cats were harmed but he sure was a beastly predator of young girls.
