If democracy has been in existence for as long as we claim it is, why do we still see corruption, manipulation of the people, abuse of power, unilaterally bombings of countries? If there are flaws in the system that does not mean that it is not old, that does not mean it is useless. It only means that everything evolves, every system is bound to be innovated and rejuvinated to suit the present times. Finally, read history and see if worse than the present crises did not exist.
No disrepect to the AmaXhosa, there were even splits in their Kingdom due to such issues, inkosi uGcaleka and inkosi uRharhabe were brothers who divided the nation into two, in their squabbles. The amaZulu nation has never been divided into two nations. So this is something you will appreaciate.
