"Has she not glands?" 😆
1:08 she has a great sense of timing
FYI a "99" is an ice cream in a cone with a flake. A British institution.
They did a taste test which included ice cream with flake in it but no cornet & like 99% of us they loved it😜
What's a flake?
@@majorcatastrophe2829 its a chocolate bar made from the left over chocolate when they make normal bars, its like all flakey, goes everywhere when you eat it
I always assumed her first word would be Muppet.
15:09 "Go and fetch my lolly."
This is my favourite joke of the entire series. It's such a Bernard thing to do, a borderline alcoholic making an ice lolly with a wine bottle and a stick. Genius comedy.
Borderline???
@@Uatu-the-Watcher 😂👍
@@Uatu-the-Watcher he is Irish tbf
Little Princess Boomer's 'Dada' sounded so cute!
I was expecting her first word to be Muppet 😅 also I wonder why everyone baby I've known says dada first?
For us in the U.K. it being in its 80’sis super hot, especially if we’re in our homes as our homes are built for warmth, so it gets suffocatingly hot lol
americans in the US when brits complain about 30c: pfft 87, thats nuthin'
americans when in the UK: WHAT IS THIS UNGODLY HEAT?!?!?
...yeah its only 20c(70f)...not even summer yet
(well, maybe not Floridians....)
It's important to note that in england, the air is very humid, so temperatures feel much hotter than they are.
And all of our buildings are made to keep as much heat in as possible. It's only summer for an average of 2 weeks a year so for the rest of the time we need our houses well insulated.
You realise these two are in Florida right? Lol.
That place is more humid AND more hot than Britain.
You're not wrong, humidity makes it worse, but these guys know that lol
@NoNowwwell of course, but the main point was about insulation. Our buildings are made to keep heat in. In Florida (I'm a dual citizen and live in Texas most of the year now), the buildings are made to keep the heat out. That makes a huge difference.
@@NoNowwwell They have air conditioning in the US as standard to combat that... Majority of UK households don't, and that coupled with the insulation makes it unbearable!
As someone that's lived in the UK and Malaysia.. infrastructure/aircon makes all the difference.
Malaysia is jungle country making it so humid sweating does f-all meaning only foreigners sweat.
The locals have adapted not to bother/waste the water..
And at an average of 30°c (86°F) and 45°c (113°F) in the hight of summer you'd think British summers wouldn't touch me.... but they do.. I'd much rather deal with Kuala lumpa at 45°c then Oxford at 30°c🫠
✌️
@@DrCookie6996p I spent 6 months in Belize. And same, I'd rather be in Belize at 40 than anywhere in England at 30. Except my favourite beaches there, I can jump in the ocean to cool down then 😄
gotta watch out for those asbestos bats :-D
😂😂😂
I wonder what happens to all that bat poop now that we're not lining our buildings with it 🤔 😂😂
Thank you both for your great reactions!
Your daughter already knows how to speak on cue! Impressive! :) This is one of my favourite episodes.
Aww the "dada" was right on cue. That's superb 😆
Good timing from the little princess with the dada. My mate's baby took her first ever steps to walk towards me, it was nice.
By some weird coincidence, the first word my art history lecturer said to me was 'Da-da'.
“Dada”. Baby boomer has a great sense of comedic timing.
Still waiting for you guys to react to the quirkiness of Taskmaster 😜
Those of us at a certain age grew up with 99s they were a vanilla ice cream cone with a Cadbury flake stuck in the middle heaven!
When I was a kid in Manchester the ice cream man was like Willy wonka.didn't have 99's but he'd put a broken cornet on top of the ice cream cone to make like a hat & Smarties for eyes😄also hundreds & thousands(sprinkles in america)also a small plastic cone with ice cream & a pointless 1 chew bubble gum at the bottom(can't remember the name)& cider lollys!to 5 year olds.me & my sister used to try & pay with monopoly money😂good old 70's.1 treat a day was heavenly
That QB story about her crazy roommate, lol. I'm thinking about The Twits by Roald Dahl now!🤣🤣🤣
Fantastic UA-cam Moments # 117 - When King Boomer stated "it's the greatest [catches a breath through laughing] poem in the world!! :D"
Thanks as always guys, so much fun!
Queen Boomer's dreams sound like an acid trip!
We had 104 fahrenheit (40 degrees) not long ago so that's how much the climate has changed since 2002 in the UK.
Princess Boomer is saying dada, Mr King, because while mama has the goods, Queen Boomer would say dada more than mama, so it's the word bubs often hear the most. [Mum of 6 now adults here]. You guys are adorable, and don't worry, this growth spurt will settle in a bit for a short time. ;) [Love your vids!] And yes, asbestos is bad. The disease it gives you is way, way worse than cancer.
Your reactions are always worth the wait.
We have just had family and their friends arrive from the US yesterday telling us they are happy to be out of the heat and in Scotland. Within a couple of hours they were wearing double layers and asking for the heat on in their rooms. It’s our summer.
Last summer I spent half an hour in the garden and was shaking, sweating, couldn’t breathe and had to wash in cool water and lie in front of a fan in a cold dark room. People like me would die in Florida. No joke. People die here every hot summer because they get sun stroke
Asbestos particles are small enough to reach your lungs, but they don't break down, so it slowly rips at your lungs causing scar tissue that hardens and makes your lungs stiff.
Yeah its not nice, my dad's been diagnosed with it recently, probably from all the building work he did in the 70's and 80's. His mate has had symptoms for the last 12 years so can be a long affair
Thays Only the bad asbestos though
@@Schiltzenberger blue, white and brown asbestos. Illegal for use in UK sin the Control of Asbestos regulatory acts around 1998. I believe countries still export it; Canada even? May be wrong lol
@@CaSh-Hi doubt anyone exports it anymore. There were massive legal cases in the 80s and 90s that resulted in the mining companies involved setting up huge funds to pay compensation to decades of victims and future victims. Here in australia the town of wiitenoom, where the stuff was all mined, was declared a no go zone and all its inhabitants were evicted, although a couple of loonies still live in the ghost city, which sits in the middle of giant asbestos slag heaps.
Scar tissue is always regenerating ..so if you have the likes of scurvy. ....literally all of your scars will open up ...
On the commentary track, (which is worth listening to) Bill Bailey said that the props people wrote EAT ME on him, but when he watched it, he thought it said FAT ME.🍻🍻🍻😸
Johnny Vegas did a series where he lived in a flat dealing small amount of drugs to survive. Pretty sure that was a kind of dark comedy.
As the father of an 8 month old - no apologies necessary! Baby has to come first.
We appreciate your reactions regardless of how long we have to wait :)
Never thought I would hear an American say he knows who Johnny Vegas is.
Then you don't watch his videos😫
@@markcutting6504 I do. Just not all of them. He does a lot of British media, so it doesn't really surprise me.
He's done many Benidorm
Check out his early stand up.he's proper pissed.he's also done ideal & Benidorm.anything early vegas was a funny drunkard but cleverly screaming in his head full of custard
When you’ve finished with black books you should watch the bloopers/outtakes.
My favorite episode- love Johnny Vegas as the creepy landlord😂😂
Oh my... 😊The Dada got me
Ordered this show from across the pond. It's going to take over a month to get here though 😢
It’s worth it .
Don't they let you watch over there? All of the channel4 episodes are available to stream for free here in the uk. www.channel4.com/programmes/black-books
You can tell a person's age by whether they know about asbestos. I miss the stuff. It was used in brake linings which lasted twice as long as the ones made since it was banned. Probably killed a few mechanics if they breathed the dust while replacing the linings, but life is all about tradeoffs.
That was definitely a "Da Da".
A 99 is a vanilla ice cream cone with a flake in it. I'm presuming at one point they cost 99p.
“In the days of the monarchy in Italy the King has a specifically chosen guard consisting of 99 men, and subsequently anything really special or first class was known as '99' - and that is how '99' Flake came by its name,” Cadbury states.
I miss the days they did cost 99p
They were cheaper for a while and then 99p for a long time. Nowadays probably a couple quid
Why would you presume the name has anything to do with the price ? 99p for an ice cream in around 1930 when it started would have been extortionate,so why would the name stick decades later at a certain pricing
Lmfao dar dar right on cue 😂 too cute
No aircon here, so if it’s 92 outside it’s probably 92 inside too but it’s only about a week a year lol
There was asbestos at my old, old primary school (because I changed schools). They knocked the school down a couple years after I left, as they found asbestos in the ceiling or something. They were at the time building the new version of the school next to us anyway. This was back in 2010, 2011 area. I’m 24 now so, long time ago.
omg queens shark phone case I must know where it’s from!
Smack the pony . Ooh .. Da da . !!!!!! Does that mean she's going to be a daddy's girl . No . Not a sausage. They are so lovely at this age . ❤
The outtakes for this show are brilliant too !
This was a good one, made me laugh
Da da da, or ma ma ma, are just natural sounds a baby makes. The terms dada and mama (later father/mother) come from the sounds a baby makes, not the other way round.
I have to be that British guy but uk weather is humid very low air plus your houses are made of wood our are designed to keep us warm
She definitely is saying Dada coz she loves her Dada, both amazing parents and she’s most certainly a happy baby.
Breathing asbestos causes damage to the lungs which years later causes severe breathing problems (asbestosis) and usually is fatal
Ginger was in gimme gimme gimme
For differences in desired sleeping temperature consider mattress chillers/heaters like the Ooler and Climsom systems. You can have a separate one on each side of the bed.
I like that ending... Let's put it to the testing 😄 Queen Muppet may come alive!
' My Summer girl takes a little backwards steps away ' David Bowie . I hate the fekking heat . So glad they're cloud seeding . 😮 Hey , lovely Queen Boomer and King . Maybe check out Smack The Pony . Especially the Doggie Song . 😅 Gals to the forefront of comedy . Please check it out .
Browns the worst one as it has barbs in it that stick to the lungs, loving the black books lol
4:42 In unison Brits 'Yes, fine, but we very generally don't have AC in our homes'. It would be ridiculous for the few days of intense heat per year, but they still do happen.
So there is that.
My guess is that it's not 92 degrees right now for you siting there, you guys seem quite 'chilled'. It would be (whatever the temp outside) in a non AC'd home.
Indeed in the UK likely more, given the heat being trapped inside of houses predominantly built for that purpose in a mostly cold climate, like pretty much all UK homes. Insulation becomes not only useless but a hinderance for a short time.
Bill Bailey cut his hair last week.
The moving wall made me think of Jimmy Carr's new show battle in the box.
He's like the the dad in FND bloody boiling
We don't have air con in the uk. There's no escape from hot days.
1.16... "Dada..." Great! :)
I was going to ask why you got your tops on in that heat but you got air con . In the UK we sit on the sofa sweating with t shirts off . 😅
If you get time "jonny vegas" is best in a show called "ideal"😉
It's too weird.
@@williamhorton9763 Nah i reacon they'd get it😉
You can't beat a nice cool book straight from the fridge 😙
The content is very good
Princess B is not a fan of accordians
Perhaps PB was telling you her favourite art movement !
Now I want a Wine-sicle!
There are two types of Asbestos Blue and Grey, its the Blue type which is potentially dangerous, and was used in a powder form for insulation and cladding pipes, the grey type comes in sheets and isn't dangerous at all, they still use it in building today for things like soffit boards. I worked on the building for 20 years and my Dad did since the 1950's He had mates who did nothing but clad pipes in Blue asbestos and not a single one of them developed the condition, the dangers have been severely overhyped. theres a lot of money in its disposal.
The amount of videos, of young people, drilling through fibre glass body work, with no protection or much ventillation.
With comments that joke about how dangerous it is.
Is like (pun intended) why waste tha breath.
@@wayne7521 Yes fibre glass is far worse for your lungs than grey Asbestos, and yet they don't make a big fuss about that, probably because they make their beloved wind turbines out of the stuff. Just wait until they find an alternative, then they'll be saying how dangerous it is and charging us all a fortune, for clearing up their own mess.
Try UK’s version of 81 degrees Fahrenheit. It’s not the same.
Please check out Fran/ Tamsin Greig in the series, "The Green Wing"
Feng Shui IS nine tenths of the law.
That dada was so wholesome
no asbestos in bat poop 🤣
Wow never been this early to anything in my life 😂😂😂😂
Brazil!!! da dee da da da
I loved hearing Princess Boomer.
If these people sweat on a 81 degree day, then they definitely wouldn't survive the weather in northern Virginia.
It's a type of stone you have different colours and the strand are the porb
WATCH AND POST "EXTRAS" 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏PLEASE!!!!
Maybe in order with after life & derek.but now they don't have much time together it's gonna be difficult.I'd never even seen Friday night dinner till boomers!but it's much better when they're watching together.he's finished partridge so we need mid morning matters also.& As a fully qualified Muppet it would be nice for reaction to robin Williams & Ricky gervais Muppet shows.& The whole treasure island film with some run & weed🤗😍
I thought this was another episode I won't spoil it but I can't believe i forgot about this one great reaction been looking forward to reactions to black books great to hear princess boomer sound off
I learned asbestos is what lead to Steve McQueens death he was in the marine Corp and was exposed to it
Correction he died of heart attack but had cancer from exposure to asbestos
King boomer black books is 20 years old
Different series but please react to 15 Dtoreys High. Comedy.series with Sean Lock and Benedict

15 Storeys High!
did you know Bill Bailey has finally had enough of his long straggly hair and replaced it with 1/4 inch stubble?
So he sold out to the establishment, then?
@@williamhorton9763 - tbh .. the establishment is posing with the long scraggly hair. He said he'd had enough when his hair caught fire at a barbeque. (something like that)
Bless , wish my babies were still little they're 20 and 16
You need to watch balls of steel😂
You would both like the series coupling!
I think you two accidentally hit upon why almost all languages have some variation of "mama" and "dada" for their words for mother and father. It's the two easiest sounds for a baby to make, and the parents will inevitably think it refers to them (which it does do some times).
A fan on the bollox is proper mate. 👍
Princess Boomer's first words could have been 'Ma Mo' as in 'Maurice Mos'.
I think all episodes of still game are available on UA-cam.......
Eclectic beard done a lot of them.love his reactions especially rising damp.to call them all "cats"is good ole boy,& he cracks up at fawlty towers
@@markcutting6504 fair enough :)
BAT POOP??????????????
IF YOU'RE 36 YEARS OLD, YOU'RE NOT A BOOMER!!!! MY SON IS 47 AND HE'S GEN. X
Agreed.. I'm 46 and Gen X ... but these days boomer is a comedy term (in the hands of muppets) ...and not an exact science.
Asbestos is not fully banned in the United States. In March 2024, the Biden administration finalized a ban on chrysotile asbestos. But companies are allowed a phase-out period of up to 12 years to continue using the material for certain manufacturing processes.
They don't use Fahrenheit in the UK. Why is he saying 88?
Although we converted to metric in the late 60s a lot of imperial measurements remained in common usage, use of Fahrenheit was quite common into the 90s but has almost died out now.
I think I can remember Fahrenheit being used in weather forecasts and newspapers into the 70s or beyond. Older people had a better idea of temperatures in Fahrenheit. I, like others born in the 60s, tend to think of air temperatures in Celsius in colder weather and Fahrenheit in hot as it is easier to get an idea with water freezing at 0 using Celsius. I'm au fait with warmer Celsius temperatures now though.
We never switched to Metric, we merely adopted it. We use whichever is more useful or more culturally relevant. For instance, we still measure beer and milk in pints, our road distances are in miles, our speeds are in mph, we give our height in feet and inches, our weight in stones, and many idioms involving Imperial measurements will survive because they are part of the language: e.g. "Give him an inch, he'll take a mile." But for science, engineering, medicine, and any other field requiring precision and easily compared and calculated measurements, we use Metric. It makes more sense. As for temperature, whilst many of us just stick to Celsius for hot and cold, many still use Fahrenheit for warmer things like air and body temperature, but Celsius for freezing conditions; I guess it's more obvious to use negative numbers and terms like "below zero", rather than "26", or some other seemingly arbitrary number.
A guy you like from "BENIDORM" 😜😂😂😜😜
