I was feeling down and out until I heard Phil Collins' "In the Air Tonight" on the radio. The beat and the lyrics made me feel so alive, and it was like a breath of fresh air. To make the song even more special, I used UnMixIt to isolate the vocal track and make my own karaoke version. Singing along to my favorite song with just the instrumental track playing was so much fun, and it really lifted my spirits!
MrThrock09 It's really inexcusable. The proper drum sound is really easy to mix, and there are gazillions of samples on youtube of drummers with great sets, mics, and talent, playing the fill correctly. I've been a producer for 4 years and I could have gotten a less ridiculous drum sound at 6 months in.
The back up vocals here are way too loud. People in general aren't a huge fan of backup vocals because it makes it more obvious that they are off pitch. Without BU vocals, it is much easier for your brain to accept your sound as the correct sound.
Back up vocals are great and I agree with you; all people complaining about them have no idea of music and I wish people who upload karaoke tracks NEVER pay attention to them on taking out the back up vocals.
*like* i grew up with this stuff! i'm from a city called Fort Collins so i would always ask my momto play "fort collins' because i thought that was his name :)
Just stop with the backing vocals. They're way too loud. Mix them properly, or don't bother. They stick out like a sore thumb and I really have to crank up my vocals in Reaper to get this to sound right. The backing vocalist isn't that bad, its more the fact that he's way too loud in the mix in the first half of the song.
Adam Floro I would, but as I'm living in Mass, the music scene around here isn't the best (its not horrid, its not like I'm in the middle of no where with Boston about a 40 minute drive from my house, but its no NY or LA), and since I was out for a while, I need to network and find new connections to get the ball rolling.
No, I meant, have a group karaoke session...lol. I live in Southern Illinois (NOT CHICAGO...6 hours away lol) and there are people who know how to sing. =)
idk why I keep seeing comments about the "vocals screwing everything up!" They added those vocals to add HARMONY! It gives the song depth and it actually adds to the quality of the lead vocals and makes the song just sound better as a whole. if you can't sing WITH the added vocals then I would suggest singing at the bottom of a swiming pool...with extra special deep breaths between lyrics. ...cuz thats going to be the highlight of your super kick ass and highly skilled karaoke performance! at least as far as your listeners are concerned. I know its supposed to be all in fun but there is nothing more cruel than a shitty singer forcibly torturing those there to have a good time. wanting to ram pencils in my ears cuz someone is deep throating the microphone, stuck in the delusion that they are the undiscovered talent the worlds been searching for. be courteous my fellow singers! if ya stink....then maybe there's a nice job slinging drinks....or something. just stay away from the stage! for the love of god!
When I was younger, me and my family were going on vacation in the summer. The air was on, so the windows were shut and everyone was crammed in our small container of a car. This song came on the radio, and, unfortunately, I had bad gas. Listening to it for a moment, I shouted, "I CAN FEEL IT COMING IN THE AIR TONIGHT!" Farted, then continued to sing, "OH LORD!" Best vacation ride ever.
I don't know... gotta say, all in all... this channel seems to have the closest to "original" songs I've found on UA-cam... which rocks... but, in honest "constructive critism"... the "background" singer for ALL of these songs is not only off key... but SO overpowering he/she/it keeps knocking me off rythym... granted, I'm no "pro"... but just the same... either cut the background vocals altogether, or just play the original artist subdued. (after all... that's the point of Kareoke, right?)
This is not a good karaoke song fam, so repetitive, people get bored, singers get bored, instead of building strength as it goes they get tired and lose interest. please for the love of god don't do 5:30 songs that have 30 words.
I wonder if the berage of somewhat forceful, somewhat rude, yet refreshingly honest and delightfully bold comments are enough to sell her on the unavoidable truth.....this girl couldn't sing her way out of a paper bag. Think she knows it yet? Let us set up a vigil in hopes that she see's the truth. The truth that is; SUCKAGE!
+avanpeltno2fan They are at the second chorus, They are definitely in the original, amd they are certainly here for back up, I've looked around youtube and there is an isolated version of the song with out the back up :)
This song is about his divorce from his wife. Look it up, lol. He even says thats what its about. He thinks its funny that people think its about a drowning.
Seriously? You folks are griping about the lyric "Oh Lord"? I'll put your mind at ease and let you know that the correct lyric is "Hold On" with his accent it may Sound Like Oh Lord but I assure you it's NOT.
I agree...this doesn't even mash up with the original. Poor version. Though I suppose if you had a few drinks you would forget the fact the background sucks and you own the world!
I feel that the word" Lord,",Is misused in this song ,After all if the Lord were available he would lend a hand if you were drowning ,And that I can feel in the Air Tonight
daniel brown I meant that sarcastically. The word 'Lord' is not misused in this song. It fits perfectly and also, the Lord is availible whenever you need him. He is helping whenever he can and if you are drowning, he does try to save you but if you don't listen, how can he help? Isaiah 41:10 'Do not fear, for I am with you; Do not anxiously look about you, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, surely I will help you, Surely I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.'
Rosedimitri5 I think Phil Collins was just trying to be poetic...he has had no trouble at poking fun at God before, he sang a hell of a Supper's Ready after all...pretty sure for this song he wrote about a character who lost faith in God.
I always thought it was "Hold On" just found its "Oh Lord" after all these years I've been singing it wrong. Thanks Karaoke.
This is the coolest song ever to play in a huge field with 350 speakers
I was feeling down and out until I heard Phil Collins' "In the Air Tonight" on the radio. The beat and the lyrics made me feel so alive, and it was like a breath of fresh air. I was but a young lad when I got hooked to this song in GTA Vice City Stories...
i was on 4rd grade.. amazing times
Great Track
Well, I have been singing this song wrong for all my life. Oh lord! Oh lord!
I have been singing the Wrong lyrics for 30 years. I'm not stopping anytime soon.
davincent98 Ha! Me too! I've been saying "hold on" instead of "oh Lord" since I first heard the song. 😆
Do you have version with absolutely no vocals ? This is FIRE !
the drum solo part sounded like some one falling down stairs
LOL ikr
Trev Cats you mean the drumroll part before the whole band comes in?
Trev Cats But Siri your tracks trap cats holy shit let’s hear yours post your shit on there let’s hear it I’ll bet you’re just bad ass to the bone

Me when coming home drunk and trying to climb the stairs while singing this song.
Does backup singer sound like Weird Al Yankovich?
Russell Williams i can't stop laughing
Hahaha lol
LOL
I'm no singer, but I enjoy back up vocals. Surprisingly, I can sing well with them. They don't bother me.
Yesit'sJess same here , I don't see the problem
The back up vocals here are way too loud. People in general aren't a huge fan of backup vocals because it makes it more obvious that they are off pitch. Without BU vocals, it is much easier for your brain to accept your sound as the correct sound.
Back up vocals are great and I agree with you; all people complaining about them have no idea of music and I wish people who upload karaoke tracks NEVER pay attention to them on taking out the back up vocals.
I love this karaoke version, but I think the background vocals are a bit too loud on this track. I like the Drum Solo on this too.
Awesome Phil Collins
*like* i grew up with this stuff! i'm from a city called Fort Collins so i would always ask my momto play "fort collins' because i thought that was his name :)
I love this song so much. I have it on my mp3 player.
10 years later and the question arises: where is your mp3 player? i hope it's still in use!!
@@MakoNext It lasted up to 9 years and sadly it no longer works after years of using it. It was my escape from reality. May my MP3 player RIP
I love this karaoke. And everyone who complaining about the backup singers there HELPING you. Dont be mad cause u cant Harmonize with them.
Totally agree !
'Remember that song by phill Collins in the air tonight about that guy who could have saved that other guy from drowning'-Stan
Dear Stan, I meant to write you sooner, but I just been busy.
can the backup singers in this song actually end their lives
Cool, let me danse
Love to sing this one :-)
Bree Gwendolyn, I would absolutely agree with you. However, it would not be easy to get those 350 speakers, wouldn't you agree as well:))
My preferred song
Just stop with the backing vocals. They're way too loud. Mix them properly, or don't bother. Dude...just sing louder.
Adam Floro You completely misunderstand the post. The point is that the backing vocals should not be that loud.
Personally, I don't like backing vocals at all...you should just perform it with people who know the backing parts.
Wait, this my favorite part right here! 03:40- Mike Tyson
My favorite part of the whole song is when he says coming in the air tonight.
idk why I keep seeing comments about the "vocals screwing everything up!" They added those vocals to add HARMONY! youre hot
Thank you. And thank you for spelling "you're" correctly. You have a brain....and that makes my faith in humanity dwindle just a little less.
it's the very least I could do..
The backup vocals are just too loud, not bad but too freaking loud.
My Name is Marie 😂😂😂😂
The drumming part comes on and I immediately picture the gorilla from that advert 😂
Everyone thinks it's a man in a gorilla suit. I like to think it's a real gorilla. (Somebody has to!) 😜😜😜 DL Staffordshire, UK.

Heavy weapons guy has a message for all the people here who are butthurt about the backing vocals:
"CRY SOME MORE!"
When I was younger, me and my family were going on vacation in the summer. The air was on, so the windows were shut and everyone was crammed in our small container of a car. This song came on the radio, and, unfortunately, I had bad gas. Listening to it for a moment, I shouted, "I CAN FEEL IT COMING IN THE AIR TONIGHT!" Farted, then continued to sing, "OH LORD!" I don’t like the back up vocals, not because it’s annoying, but because he’s outshining me 😞
found this from a commercial
O QUE ESTRAGA É A VOZ DOS CARAS CANTANDO, TIRA A SUA AFINAÇÃO ATRAPALHA MUITO, VOCÊ ESTÁ EM UM TOM E SE PERDE DEVIDO A VOZ NO KARAOKÊ.
Karaoke air supply
What part of karaoke don't you get? Keep the voices out!
Learn to sing with those and stop complaining
This is not a good karaoke song fam, so repetitive, people get bored, singers get bored, instead of building strength as it goes they get tired and lose interest. please for the love of god don't do 5:30 songs that have 30 words.
People need to stop putting vocals on Karaoke vids...
Absolutely right Rebel Soscha!
People need to start LEARNING to sing with back up vocals
The drum solo sounded terrible. It's my favorite part of the song too :(
It sounded like 10 guys beating off in a high school basketball court
OMG. It was really good until those back round vocals or should i say lead vocals came in. Totally messed up the song
Right...
ciao a tutttttiiiiiiiii
ruined.. looking somewhere else.. the voices are in the wrong key and they are all wrong
maybe the only thing thats actually off key.....is your voice.....cuz it sounds pretty spot on to me. No offense....that's just how it goes.
My Name is Marie Did you sing this?? Cause you seem to have taken my comment personally. Anyway I hated it and I'm allowed to do that.
I did! It was a blast. Thanks for asking!
total drone
I wonder if the berage of somewhat forceful, somewhat rude, yet refreshingly honest and delightfully bold comments are enough to sell her on the unavoidable truth.....this girl couldn't sing her way out of a paper bag. Think she knows it yet? Let us set up a vigil in hopes that she see's the truth. The truth that is; SUCKAGE!
Can't for the life of me understand why vocals are added to this. An otherwise perfect edit, ruined.
just listened to the actual song and nowhere did I hear harmony vocals that sound like theyre being sung by the lead singer of nickelback
+avanpeltno2fan They are at the second chorus, They are definitely in the original, amd they are certainly here for back up, I've looked around youtube and there is an isolated version of the song with out the back up :)
+avanpeltno2fan But i do agree, this throws off the song, the singer sounds nothing like Phil Collins :3
If you don't blend with the back up vocals you're singing the wrong tune lol
Voice Prism Plus needs to stop.
The video was good until you sang
Oh lord?
This song is about his divorce from his wife. Look it up, lol. He even says thats what its about. He thinks its funny that people think its about a drowning.
serieus solo drum is bad 4 my ears thats the best part of this song that voice distracts me its irritating
Theres another version with the gold karaoke logo at the beginning that doesnt have the crappy background singers fucking shit up
That back up vocal is too loud and off a little bit.
If theirs words in back ground
This ain't karaoke
Backup singer ruins this.

That background vocal is terrible!
"no lead vocal"
Seriously? You folks are griping about the lyric "Oh Lord"? I'll put your mind at ease and let you know that the correct lyric is "Hold On" with his accent it may Sound Like Oh Lord but I assure you it's NOT.
Yeah sure, everyone's wrong but YOU! Just because you're a 'pagan', it doesn't change the lyrics.
No it IS "Oh Lord" !
Er...um....it actually says "Ur wrong! " lol
why those horrible choirs?
WTF why this wocal. No sens
Empty the voice, sucks
stop the vocals our videos
I agree...this doesn't even mash up with the original. Poor version. Though I suppose if you had a few drinks you would forget the fact the background sucks and you own the world!
It was good until y'all wanted to sing and fuck it up
Drum roll sucks. That's the whole hook of the song.
terrible job
Crap
Background vocals in all karaoke SUCKS
I feel that the word" Lord,",Is misused in this song ,After all if the Lord were available he would lend a hand if you were drowning ,And that I can feel in the Air Tonight
dude... really??
Rosedimitri5 really

It's the common phrase "Oh lord!" As in, "Oh lord, the dinner's burning in the oven!"
