Legend has it.. His glue table once caught fire.. It burned for 6 days. Chuck Norris refused to put it out as it was too dangerous.
I got an idea for another video. Plus you could sell it & make you some extra money. Make a full video building a saddle with instruction from start to finish. I know it would take a long time but there are many of us that would be willing to purchase it. There are only a few out there in the saddle making business that have done this & they charge so much for it that no one can afford to buy them. I know the experience that you could give would be a very valuable to a lot of us out here in the leather world. Lots of people would like to build their saddle on their own. And some day offer a saddle making school if there is a hotel close to your shop.

Thank you so much! I use a contact cement I buy locally in 5 gallon buckets. It's basically the same as barge just a different color I think.

what is the name / type of the glue that you use please.
Oh man when I started out with leatherwork I was doing a lot of saddle repairs. I’d get so pissed at the saddle maker when I’d get a saddle in and it’s mostly held together with ring shanks! I made it a rule for me to never use ring shanks when building a saddle, just so it’s a bit easier when it goes in for repair, considerate of the poor soul that would otherwise have to deal with those damn things. lol

Buy Trim Coil nails from siding/gutter supply. Either steel or SS, and they come in bulk.
