I came across this video and this guy is on the money. Last year a bunch of us got together and just wanted to play because COVID took two years from us. Now, here is the kicker. When we were all younger, we played in different teams and were rivals. Friends but rivals. So it was special to come together at 50 some one or two years older or younger, but come together and play for fun. We are all still very much competitive, but wanted to just have fun.. Well we won the chip and it is true. We still play because we can, but the new generation doesn't play half of the game we played. I use to play three doubleheaders in a day on Saturday and Sunday here in NY... So imagen that life fore 10 years..
Cuz we gotta work more just to pay rent. I'm in a league but the entry level leagues don't have that level of games/commitment because its just harder to get people to sign up
@@spjr99 here we get sponsored by the bar we all meet up at for a couple. The ref fee is collected by cc two months before. I think today most people are introvert because all they do is alone and do t have what we had back then. Friends that grew up outside and made long life friends. Things don’t cost more today then they did back in my time. It just that nobody plays sports anymore at the level that we played. The number one reason is you have way to many social media and people are more Interested in what a far kid in some fourth world country thinks about them, then the guy that is going to call you out to your face. Get my drift? In my days you couldn’t say a lie because someone would find out and call you out in front of everyone. 😂 good old days
Larry has always been a beast at this game, at the Major level. Guy is a lefty and could consistently rope one down the 3rd base line. He's definately a Hall of Famer.
