frank is the perfect balance to bill, frank is a outgoing, fabulous, nice extrovert. bill on the otherhand is a introverted, rough, hostile, standoffish type. so both of them together make a perfect "battery" a positive and negative that together powers many different things.
"This is like reacting to Our Flag Means Death" lol. Yessssssss! The last time I watched your videos, it was those reaction videos and I was so happy to see you pop up on my UA-cam feed again with this.
This episode was just amazing! I'm as manly of a straight GUY as can be and this episode absolutely turned on the old faucet eyes and was heart wrenching. I love how Frank & Bill brought the best out in each other. All in all, the first 3 episodes have been perfectly done IMO
Of all of the reaction vids to this episode yours here is THE BEST of them - so emotive and empathetic. You also provide observations of subtle details in the episode.
9:00 with the exception of fully automatic weapons and explosives, Americans can buy pretty any human portable firearm. Just a valid ID and background check for criminal offenses is required. Then drop down your cash or major credit card. In some states there is a requirement for training and waiting period of a few days. That said most people in America don’t even own one gun. So it’s not typical to see someone with multiple weapons on their person.
This was so great. Cried the whole time. Bill and Frank where so cute together. Great performances, Nick Offerman deserves an Emmy. He's so manly and acted so nervous and giddy. Loved it!
Great reaction - a very tender episode at times. I look forward to the rest of the series. On a sad side-note, the actress who voiced and did motion-capture of Tess in the video game passed away yesterday.
I'm just happy to see you two react to this episode cause i'm not just a lone lesbian crying after a full gay episode now. I need to see Ellie's love-stories now cause the show give me so much hope of a very good way to do it.
I cried so hard watching this episode. I literally cried so hard that I was worried my neighbors would come to check on me. (I've never played the game, so no spoilers, please).
This was not a gay love story. It was a human love story. This episode shows so well that love is not held back by anything. People who moan over it are just homophobes, in the game bill is gay so its not even deviating from the game in that regard. I loved this episode so much im wondering if its the best love story ive ever seen.
Fuckin A. I'm a straight cis male myself. But this is probably the must beautiful love story I've ever seen. And while I don't think the point of the story is that they're gay, I also don't think the story would've worked as well without a child of gay men. It's both objectively romantic ignoring orientation, but also works best with a gay couple.
I can tell that I really enjoy your reactions because it's one of the first I click on. I guess that naturally comes with visiting a channel for the first time, but I also feel like you guys pick up on little details very well, and your reactions are genuinely fun. Helps that you just went through the game. Looking forward to watching you bawl through this one. Hope you brought tissues. I already know you're going to love the changes.
As a bisexual man, I loved the way they wrote bill in this show. I think bill is gay (not bisexual) but I relate to him so much as I would be surprised to learn that he is gay as most people would be surprised to learn that I am bi. I am not a fan of stereotypical gayness and I can smell that shit a mile away, but this performance just feels so genuine to me.
He doesn't have a cargo trailer, so he takes the seats out of the boat on the boat trailer, and uses it for extra carrying capacity. He's the only person he's concerned with, so he doesn't need extra seats in the boat. For that trip to the home improvement/lumber store (I'm not sure if Home Depot is a store you've seen aside from here) he wants a lot of cargo space. More space = fewer trips = less used fuel. "How did this man fall into that hole?" If you go back and watch the montage, Bill laid "chicken wire" over holes and then covered them with sod (dirt with grass rooted in) so the hole would look much like other ground around it. But the chicken wire won't hold much weight, if he used a piece only a little larger than the hole (say 140cm over a 100cm wide hole, or 250cm over a 200cm wide hole) the wire would hold the dirt up, the grass roots would hold it together (except maybe in extremely heavy rain) and the wire would rip out of the ground and collapse into the hole when something over about 12kg stepped on it. (chicken wire is the term we use in America. I'm not sure about elsewhere, but it's a type of fencing used to contain flightless or mostly flightless birds such as chickens with 1.5-3cm openings in a thin wire mesh) Think for a moment, when Bill was shot, and thought he was going to die. What did he tell Frank? "Call Joel" (despite his misgivings, despite his opposition to being involved with them at all, Bill was recognizing 'Joel is a good, solid, strong person. He will make sure you are safe') "Having so much fancy food" When you think about it, the food depends on the chef/cook. They can grow vegetables, which comprise most side dishes and garnishes. The first meal Bill served Frank was rabbit. The only thing they need past that is a source of wine (which can be made at home, if you find the right crop to raise and the suitable yeast to ferment it) When you take into consideration, that there can be a chemical bond between the contents of the pills and the wine, and that some materials will dissolve clear, even if they have a color in solid form. "that wine would become pink" is a basic "this color + that color = new color" Hot water dissolves white sugar into clear. The water from boiled red cabbage turns turns into a rainbow of colors when poured into glasses containing various substances at a miniscule level. (This I initially remembered from conducting the experiment before a "talent show" at my elementary school many years ago, where I would be the magician pouring this substance into several glasses and would carefully pour 1/4 of the glass full. But there was a small amount of something invisible to the audience in each glass, proclaiming I would turn this to water, lemonade, fruit punch and other things based on the color it would become. "Of course you can't drink them because they are magic potions") "It's a pretty nice car/" No, it's a pick up truck, not a car. And it's a Chevrolet S-10, possibly the most prone to breakdown (in my experience) of its generation. Don't get me wrong, Chevrolet has made some seriously good vehicles, but the S-10,, I am *_not_* going to look on kindly. From my perspective as a viewer, I could have done with maybe 8-10 minutes less of Bill & Frank and 8-10 minutes more of Joel & Ellie in this episode. But they introduced how Tess and Joel knew Bill & Frank, why they were not there to help, and a lot of depth to why Tess would believe Bill & Frank would help, as well as why Joel thought they wouldn't. While it might have been a lost opportunity for a few minutes of our leads for a week, as it's laid out, they had to do this now. Otherwise they have to force in some flashback later, and much of this, only Bill & Frank would have experienced, so who would be having the flashback?
*In the game, only Frank who killed himself and Bill found he’s dead. But in the show, they both killed themselves. What a great story to end the characters than in the game*
@@auntvesuvi3872 Edge. I don't know. It's a weird thing that happens sometimes. If I reload the video, I get a few seconds of sound at the beginning, but then it goes silent. Have not figured out why, but every other video on UA-cam seems to have sound working just fine.
@@kerouac.jackson Technology baffles me, but that was the one work around in the rare case where the audio doesn't function. I also reload on Chrome and I'll hear about one second of the audio before it goes silent again. I'm guessing it's something with the native video file? But I just don't know enough to be sure. Thankfully, it's been a very rare occurrence.
It's amazing the difference between reactors who have a heteronormative mindset and people who don't. The first group often don't notice the chemistry and tension between Bill and Frank, and are surprised when they kiss. The second group starts suspecting immediately after they meet.
It's really interesting. I'm a straight, cis man myself, who hadn't played the games, so I just assumed that Bill and Frank were a partner from the get go. And then I saw a bunch of reactors somehow forget that Bill and Frank were already a thing. The episode was a surprise, for sure, but in the sense that it was one of the best love stories ever told. I'm still surprised by how many reactors didn't immediately pick up on that chemistry though.

I'm an entire year late but I'm pretty sure that they were referring to the device that Bill used to check whether or not Frank was infected.

Amazing episode. You two were really entertaining to watch with!
The first shirt we see Ellie wearing is supposedly a nod to a young Nathan Drake from the Uncharted Series, which is also another Naughty Dog game.
It's Nathan's shirt from the flashback when he meets Sully. I think that was Uncharted 3 when Nate first gets the ring.

i really like the long cross earing of the girl on the left. I't her left. I like it. Also that' the same glasses shape I had in the 90s. 😃👍
