On start up my truck idled at 2000rpm (94 F150 302 with a 5spd), followed the steps from this video and reinstalled everything, now it idles right where it should! Thank you!
I’m pretty sure it was still good. I ended up finding that my EGR had blown a hole in it near the fire wall and the heat was wrecking my Ignition Control Module on my distributor.
@@BoxinaGarage that is awesome. On my project 89 bronco 5.8l, a previous owner replaced the IAC recently because I removed and inspected it today and it is pure and clean no carbon. Do you know- is the IAC energized and thus closes off the air path thru it once the throttle position sensor senses the throttle blades being opened?
Just so you all know, this did fix my erratic idle issue! 👍👍
I am sorry I thought I read thru all the comments I should have looked closer!

Good luck! Let me know if it works!
That mustache makes the video sir.
Rough idle and shutting off can also be a bad PVC valve! Cheap fix to replace the PVC valve. Under $4 normally.
Cool Guy
Did you figure it out I'm suspicious mines got a leak from Iac is leaking to junction on airbox
