    Thanks for shedding much light about the 70+ abandoned projects in Kyiv. I did not find any real estate agent or a broker in Ukraine or outside who actually spoke about this big problem. They only talked about new, fully completed projects or older private apartments for sale which foreigners can purchase.

      Can't you buy any apartment you like?
      Some buildings seem finished but some just have blank walls on the inside.
      Are they considered abandoned or?
      The video was great but I have no idea what happens If the inside of the building is not finished. I know that you could finish your own apartment but what about the hallways, stairs and so on.

      Glad it was helpful! I am no lawyer myself but It's really a good starting point! Even if you're looking on the second hand market.

    One point I'd like to emphasize is that "reading things carefully/doing your own research" is not enough, the marketing/legal teams of the apartment complex developers are great at giving all sorts of amazing fancy documents that will all look great. You always need a lawyer that will check the developer ( builder ) and who has lots of experience and inside knowledge of Ukraine's apartment construction industry. How do you find one? Really, the best way is if you know people in Ukraine who already went through this and who can recommend someone, just "searching online" is always a lottery.
    Regarding "not giving cash" - not sure why everyone like you/ JohnnyFD say this like a 100% rule, as long as you have a good lawyer that's acting in your best interest there shouldn't be an issue. And yeah, make sure the seller doesn't leave the room with the cash before everything is signed and you have all the documents :P Otherwise, you may miss out on some good deals.

    Unfortunately, we spend large amounts of European subsidies on developing countries. Without exception, the northern countries pay for the southern countries. Despite this, there is no noticeable progress in those countries because of either their culture, their conservatism, or their own oligarchs (who actually all have to be... like Peotin). Yes, sorry for my language. I have left it to your imagination because after 75 years of European uni, it has become that only companies benefit, but simple people in all Mediterranean countries remain trapped in regular bribes and difficult hassles. Simply because they do not have a mandatory will to make. How simple is that. So it can be done from now on..... All those affiliated countries as well as the new ones have very poor legislation for deaths and inheritance, possession and mapping, let alone construction drawings and calculations. The cadastral designation and the requirements that a real estate agent must meet. Floor plans, house and correct information must start to be sorted out and in order before it can and can go on sale. Especially now that many rich countries no longer want to pay pensions to the elderly, but only want to give them old-age money to get rid of it cheaply. The generation that worked for all the luxury of the billionaires had to give up money for employment, they had to struggle to be able to build up a social network at all. In 1990, billionaires and millionaires still paid 62% tax in Germany and now that has dropped to just 29%.
    Then you die, but life doesn't end. The draculas of today enrich themselves on the corpses and blood of others. The elderly cannot grow old with dignity. Unless you can live cheaply elsewhere and get medical care. Greece and southern Italy no longer even have care.
    So make one good independent land registry, especially autistic people can do that job well. Have banks and municipal officials jointly verify and check the purchase from start to finish without a bribe. Only then is the sale concluded.
    A notary is needed for special things. There is a shortage in the Netherlands, so what does the government do despite a shortage of 1/2 million homes? Yes, construction has come to a standstill everywhere, just like in Germany, but they do that because of construction costs, but especially because of nitrogen emissions. What nonsense. A notary is only for the description of special cases or after a court decision because otherwise it would not happen. Such as Overpad. Border conflicts. Drainage or public connections. A specialized construction and land purchase and sale lawyer may be useful. But less is better. The bank plays a crucial role, especially because data is known about villains and bandits. In short, all subsidy receiving countries would otherwise not be members of the EU.

    Hello, I have seen a few apartments that are built up but there are just blank walls on the inside (in the apartment). How common is this in Kyiv?
    In Scandinavia, you would never find this. They make more money here by selling a complete apartment.

      Hi, it depends only from company builder. Lower price of an appartment - less you'll have inside. Overall this kind of a situation is pretty common.

    so youd recommend buying a second hand apartment ?

    • @Ukrainiancouple
      @Ukrainiancouple  3 роки тому

      Yes, But this process is also a bit convoluted and involves checking a bunch of ownership documents and finding out who has claims to the property, etc. Since there's no mechanism to do it automatically, you have to hire lawyers and private investigators etc.

    👀👁 From what I can say the of the Ukraine a lot of buildings are poorly built Or should I say badly It is quite common for no gas or electricity or water And lots of Financial problems by the owner I know it's worse during the war Plus a lot of mistrust And of course lots of solicitors are still not working just like banks You cannot get Ukraine currency easy Outside of the Ukraine You can use your Visa speed cards bank cards but lots of big charges For using them in Ukraine These are all the big downfalls Close the language The other big problem is travelling to the Ukraine do you cry from anywhere in the world It is Complicated Especially for insurance purposes What more can I say Covid 19 has no irrelevance and cannot A big problem It's all Down to Putin Have a good Christmas 🎅🤶🧑‍🎄
