How not to love such beauty as Manouche
Great!
This is one of the best versions of Limehouse blues I have ever heard in my life man it’s great to hear clarinet guitar piano and the drums what a fantastic lineup
ANOTHER FINE EXAMPLE OF MASTERS AT THEIR CRAFT
Very true. That said I think that the Clarinet coming in a semitone higher than the band was probably the most amusing moment. Band playing in G (starting on the C9), Clarinet playing over Ab (over a Db9)... Luckily the band adapted after the eggy first few bars and soon turned it around. Communication breakdown I suspect!
This has got to be one of the best piano solos in jazz history, next to anything Bud Powell, Barry Harris, Garner, Teddy Wilson , Oscar , Fatha, and Tatum
Another fine example of masters at their craft.
WOW that was amazing. I wouldn't mind marrying that percussionist.
Bravo , virtuozi !
Zo'n swingtijger heb ik hier nog niet eerder gehoord !!
Wow maravilloso pero debo reconocer que mi parte favorita es la parte de percusión XD
The first half of this performance is taken from "Rhythm Futur".
Actual tune starts at 1:34
Lovely piano work, particularly 3.22 onwards.
Thanks so much!
disches blues
lol that clarinet player is trolling
Omg that sounds so much like the Simpsons
that was great! the piano player could have been watching the others to see when to come in/out also his timing went off over the drum solo, but hey! who cares ;-)
bravo!!
peter is one of the worlds best xD every "mistake" at this level is nothing but joy and entertainment. i guess!
btw cool picture
How is his timing off during the percussion solo? I think it's remarkable how he hears right away that Dan Levinson starts in a different key, and tries to guide everyone into getting it right. Amazing pianist.
