A year late in explaining, but the encounter with Xehanort was just her fighting her memories of him, and her memories of Sora saved her. Xehanort’s memories had the answer she seeks, but Xehanort is dead (long gone). Then, he gives her the answer based on HER memories. He basically just helped her remember his words when he sent her to Destiny Islands

I think I have deduced what's happening here, you guys remember back in Kingdom hearts 1 when Sora unknowingly was housing her heart now she in turn is housing his heart so technically he didn't really disappear he just needs a body to be himself again so really there's a high chance that they're going too far with this farther than they really need to go they can just do the same thing that they did with the others which means find a vessel and implant his heart within the vessel itself and the vessel will take shape of the person whose heart is inside of the vessel.
