    Thanks to Julie Rayner at The Immigration Boutique for correcting me on something. There was an anomaly I wasn't sure about, and asked for if someone wanted to let me know what I was missing, and Julie was kind enough to do that. So thanks to Julie, as I had spent a lot of time thinking about. I've removed that part of the video as it now makes sense.

    Hi Arran,
    Just had a query regarding today's update about borders opening up in April 2022 for migrants. But most of the people may have expired visa by then so is there any solution being worked out for that as people would be out of the country for over two yrs by then and open work visas are for max 3yrs.
    Thanks.

      Hi Hunney,
      There was no mention, and hasn't been for some time, for all those people stuck offshore on visas that have been wasted. The Minister needs to be clear as to whether they will get some kind of allowance to enter, or will be ignored.

    Hi Kevin here😊
    Under settled criteria . You have cleared this at 14mins but I still want to ask
    So I was here a few times before 29th September 2018 but my last arrival into newzealand was 12th October 2018 which was after 29th September 2018. I do meet the 821 days . Do I meet this criteria under settled.

    Hi Arran, thanks for your Video, just wonder, my partner is offshore ( never came to NZ before)…. When I apply for my residency visa is it recommended to apply for both of us or since the boarders close apply for my self only atm…

      Hi Vinoth,
      Partners don't need to have been in NZ before to be included so can be offshore. So, without knowing more about your history, our first position is to include applicant's partners in applications unless we can see a reason not to. We'd need more information to give advice on whether you should include her though.

    Hi Arran,
    Thank you very much for the sharing.
    For National Security Check, do we need to print and fill the INZ 1209 form, scan and upload into the online application system?
    Thanks

    • @ImmigrationNZLaw
      @ImmigrationNZLaw  2 роки тому

      Hi Guan,
      If the NSC is required then INZ should ask for it. You could upload it in advance though we wouldn't want an immigration officer to see it and, as it is there, start to process it when it may not be needed. If it's needed it will be asked for.
      Arran

      Thanks for answering! It is mentioned on INZ website that NSC will be part of process but it was not clearly stated. I guess we will just have to wait for the official application form coming out.

    just wanted to ask, my dad is on a accredited work visa last 2018 and last week, we sent the application form. are we elingible to be in the Phase 1 (dec 1) application for rv21? tia

    • @ImmigrationNZLaw
      @ImmigrationNZLaw  2 роки тому

      Hi Tia,
      If you applied for RFW last week then you won't fit in to phase 1. It's open to those who had made an application on or before 29 September 2021 S6.5.5 in the rules. If he only applied last week then you won't fall within that. However, if he had a WTR visa in 2018 he should have applied for the RFW in 2020. So how I'm reading your post doesn't make sense. If you can email us at advice@shlaw.co.nz we'll see if we can answer it.

    Hello arran,
    My Husband is an Essential Skill Work Visa holder - currently in India and trying to get back to Nz.
    He have applied for border exemption and got it granted within 3 days of applying. In the exemption letter, he have been invited to apply for Critical Purpose Visitor Visa, which requires another PCC and several documents.
    Just confused since another friend of him who applied for border exemption under the same circumstances got invitation for Variation of Condition (instead of CPVV invitation like his).
    Any idea what the further steps would be?

    • @ImmigrationNZLaw
      @ImmigrationNZLaw  2 роки тому

      Hi Abhirami,
      We're seeing them change this process regularly so what was done for one isn't the same for another. So they're handling it like a new work visa application rather than a VOC. Once processed, he'll likely be granted a CPVV with work rights.

    Hello Arran,

      Hi Santosh,
      The Minister has mentioned it several times, so we would expect something to be announced on or before 1 December 2021. However, just be ready, perhaps three months before your current visa expires, to apply for an ESWV just in case it never comes.

    If you have all three requirements do you have to choose one of them to apply for 2021 residency I mean 1, 3 years in NZ 2, earn 27 dollars 3, your job is in scares list

    • @ImmigrationNZLaw
      @ImmigrationNZLaw  2 роки тому +1

      Hi Radiat,
      The way the system is being designed, it will use settled as the criteria if you tell it that you meet that criteria. It then shouldn't ask for evidence of employment etc. So for those who meet all three, settled is the criteria it will use.

      Hi,
      If you can get a CPVV as a dairy herd manager, and get back in to NZ before 31 July 2022 with CPVV allowing you to work for more than 6 months, then you could be eligible for 21RV. The time you were here aren't relevant for the visa, but could make it easier for you to find a job offer.

    Hi Arran what's the story on the covid passport do people have to apply from they country to new Zealand to get one or does that come from they own country

    • @ImmigrationNZLaw
      @ImmigrationNZLaw  2 роки тому +2

      Hi Sherwyn,
      There will be two, one for use inside NZ, and one for internationally. The inside NZ one will be a pass, letting people know that you have met Ministry of Health requirements for vaccination but without giving details on the vaccine etc (as this is private information). The international one will likely state the vaccine type and dates etc. For those offshore, NZ is accepting most vaccine types (I linked to the website in one of my recent videos) and should have either some method of showing it from their own country, or some official paperwork. There still is no one international method of conveying this information, so a little bit of a mess. Definitely go check the description in our last couple of videos as one has links to both the NZ requirements as well as a link to the list of the 30 or so vaccines that NZ recognises in travellers.
