I cant imagine being this fast and being able to talk the entire time lol great drive Its a fine balance to find with chasing a number and not caring too much. I havent been able to find the appropriate balance personally
I think it's normal to always be chasing something, it's what keeps us going ! Humans need something to chase, a goal, a stat, a number or whatever it is to keep the motivation up :D
@@justinkrizenesky That's when it gets tough. But eventually, you'll have another one come up, or if not a goal, a new reason to do your best again ! That's what happened to me a few years ago
Good race. I find focusing on championship points is less stressful that iRating, so that is what I normally focus on. This season is less about chasing points and more on developing race craft on road and oval. I have objectives but not of them have numbers attached, liberating so far but lets see if I stay motivated.
@@iang265 That's the hardest part. I want (and need) to feel like I'm pushing towards SOMETHING, yet I don't want to, cuz then I need to take it seriously 😂
I think you are clock watching so to speak. Watching those numbers so closely makes it a grind. If you want the numbers that's fine and they will come. As corny as it sounds, keep your racing fun and you will race well. The rest follows naturally! I am talking from experience, I am overly harsh on myself and chasing lap times that I feel I should be able to do just makes me drive like crap or worse, not even turn the sim on!
@@FlowState.Racing Yeah, that's a very fair point I hadn't considered. I tend to look at them because well, they exist and are there to see. Hmm, I'll definitely have a try at ignoring them for a bit
@@justinkrizenesky Maybe it will make no difference but hey worth a go! All I try to look for is good racing on track with fair drivers. My numbers will never be what I expect or wish them to be, well not for now at least but my aim is for others to see my name in the race and know that they will get a fair and hard race but also plenty of respect. Taught myself to see the numbers/promotions as an added bonus and proof to myself that I am making progress, slowly! 😂
@@FlowState.Racing Agreed! That's why I like more of the niche series like Global and GTE and such. I have always prided myself on being the cleanest driver on the sim, and I love when I get that from others also

@@ethangracing Lol stop, you do it in all your oval videos.
Yeah, I've just been struggling, and idk why. I'm usually not this anxious about it ):

@@Luca_Amaral I sure hope so, I still have plenty of simracing motivation in me (:
Multi-class at Ruds. That's...terrifying 😂
@@davehernandez919 It was, only thing worse would be like PCC or IMSA 😂
@justinkrizenesky LOL. I did IMSA endurance at Knockhill. So, it can get worse. 🤣
