I just started following you and listening to your content. I have a lot of weight to lose so today I started your 1, 2, 3, principle from your How to lose 100 pounds or more video. I’ve struggled with my weight for years since I was medically retired from the US Air Force. Thank you for your simplicity and teaching methods. I’ve known about you from your brother for a while and happy to be a new follower.
I love the idea of the 20 minute rule! I've seen this work for me in real life. I have a habit of eating candy at my desk at work because I'm bored. I've found that if I resist even for just a few minutes, I can often stop myself. If I give in immediately, I end up eating several pieces instead of just the 1 I originally wanted.
You spoke volumes to me . I was that whole 1/2 gallon of ice cream girl . It was always before I start Monday I’m going to eat everything the weekend before cause I thought that’s it I’m never going to never eat ice cream or whatever again . I thank you so much for getting me out of that mindset !!! Love you Jordan 🎉
I’ve had serious issues with binge eating. For years. I finally finally understand why I binge eat - the “good vs bad” foods. I feel like my eyes were finally OPEN to the root and I’m just so thankful. Thanks Jordan. Praying and thinking about your fam. From one Jew to another, we’re in this together. ❤️ I also love that you’re friends with Sean Lowe. That’s fantastic 😂
Love, love, love this! I accidentally came across this video after watching another video that ended. I watched out of pure curiosity. Thank you for being “REAL” and showing us that life happens! And “FUCK YA”, I freakin’ love that you don’t care what others think about cussing! Keep being “REAL” and THANK YOU❤
Hands down, the best advice I have ever received in regards to someone who has battled food cravings/binge eating for almost over 30 years of my life. I’m excited to try these tips. Looking forward to better habits ahead🎉
Love the reminder of the 20 minute rule and the new idea of consequential thinking. Super awesome. Also, the competition at the beginning with Sean Lowe was epic!❤❤❤❤
Great video! I am a recovering alcoholic and was thinking these tips could also work well for people craving alcohol. I also think a real alcoholic can never drink alcohol ‘normally’. A heavy drinker can definitely re-calibrate and work on moderation, but an alcoholic can’t.
The bright line is exactly what I needed to hear. Struggle with thinking I’m not worthy. So I’m definitely going to incorporate this in my way of thinking.
Love your presence. It's easier for me, a lifelong food addict, to have you present things in such a way that there aren't a million ways to interpret it. I love watching you interact with Old Abe! Being a parent is the hardest, most rewarding thing!
This is one of your best videos in a long time and that’s saying something. Your description of the cycle under “nothing is off limits” is so fucking spot on. I’ve never heard anyone describe it so accurately. This video is super helpful man, thanks.
Thank you for your no-nonsense. I appreciate that you realize we all live in the real world with real challenges, real families, real joys, and real possibilities!
Hey Jordan! I'm really loving your posts. 59 years young, mom of two grown sons 35 and almost 33 (younger son also Jordan).😊 Strength training, walking, jumping rope and just plain staying active has been a part of my entire adult life. Nutrition is my passion even though I have no education in it. I've stayed fit.....but slipped up this past year and gained about 12 to 15 lbs. Getting myself back on track eating more protein and lots of fiber and really healthy fats and my hot flashes that were gone and returned when diet got wonky are completely gone. I'm proud of the fact that I'm 59 1/2 and am still medication free. My BP is still what it was as a young adult 116/60. My friends are all using weight loss drugs ( so dangerous) and many have gone under the knife to have weightless surgery only to gain all the weight back. All on meds for BP, anxiety, thyroid issuesetc. and just don't want to eat right. Your menopause podcast is spot on. Friends are always trying to make me feel bad because I exercise and eat well. Truthfully I love healthy food. I grew up eating out of a garden. Fill my plate with vibrant color. I have 3 awesome grandchildren that I can keep up with. 9,7,and 5. My hubby and I will celebrate our 40th anniversary in March. Thank you for your very informative posts. I'm so glad your content came up in my feed.
I have been seeing an R.D. for two months now (on the recommendation of my cardiologist) and she has not ever talked about any of these strategies! I really appreciate your content, thank you!
Man. This was a great reminder and some new tools as well. I have struggled with my weight my whole life. I lost 150lbs. Became a psychopath. And have been trying to heal my relationship with food, including binging and restricting. I appreciate you so much.
Jordan, you are a breath of fresh air. Simplifying everything. I’ve followed you on instagram for a long time and debated joining the inner circle. Even just for Nee Nee’s big ass salad recipes 🤣
I’ve been following you for five years, and I appreciate all the honest advice that you freely give. Thank you, thank you! It’s really made a difference in my life❤
lovin your content! started following you cuz of sean (bachelor nation ftw babeee!!) but stayed cuz i LOVE everything you preach. really helped me with my journey :)
WOW!! I have now watched and listened to this video 3 times and will be returning for more. I love your down to earth, honest and simple approach to "diet" culture and in helping me to make sense of it all!!! But this video has been one of the best and most helpful videos I believe you have ever done. I also just listened to your podcast with the interview with Nicole I will be listening to that again as well. I hope to one day win a free month into the inner circle, but until then, I will keep referring back to this video and Nicole's interview and of course, all of your other content. Can't miss getting to see baby girl and excited to see you with baby #2!!!
Love the content and how real you are!!! Keep the vibe, homie. Been on a health journey a year after having my second kid. Still working on trying to lose the last 20 lbs….my kiddo is 4 lol. Here’s to keeping sting and keep going on this new lifestyle of mine.
I do the apple test with my son. If he asks for a snack soon after a meal, I tell him if he's actually hungry, he can have an apple (or other fruit) before he has the other thing.
Thank you! I love how well you explain the "why" in such a direct way. You make it easy to understand. I especially like the examples you give to help explain some of the concepts. I also really like how you tied different concepts together to work together. ❤
I have a very serious issue with binge eating.. & telling myself I can’t have things. I actually lost 30lbs this year but only lasted about 8 weeks & went back the way I was eating but gained back 40lbs in less than 4 months.. i went back to binging I really needed to see this video. I plan on joining your inner circle soon..
Love this video! I've been implementing most of these since I began following you years ago, and they've helped tremendously!! Thanks for sharing your amazing knowledge! 🙌
I love these white board posts, definitely keeps me listening! I've followed you for years and usually know just what you're going to say but the blanks make me want to guess ahead and see if I'm right. :)
Hi Jordan! I’ve been following you on IG for a while because I love how real you get about fitness and food. More recently I also follow for adorable Old Abe 🥰. A few years ago I used to be on top of my fitness goals and did not struggle with cravings. Now, as a mom of a 1.5 year old baby, I find all the excuses in the world to squeeze in a workout, and cravings are hard to manage especially when my baby is finally in bed and I have more time to myself. Thank you for your great content!
Love this video! I've practiced the 20-minute rule and stopped a lot of cravings. I enjoy you on Instagram and never get tired of the little glimpses of your wonderful family. Thank you, you're cool, AF. 😊
I love everything you produce. Podcast, instagram UA-cam, everything is to relatable and speaks directly into my life. I’ve noticed a huge change in my life since following you
This was perfect for me! I go on a great stretch of eating well and then the cravings knock me off and I get down on myself. These are great tools to help me get out of that cycle. Thank you as always 😃
Great video. Funny you brought up peanut butter. I have always had a hard time with it. I removed it from my house for 4 months. Went grocery shopping with the hubs the other day, I put a jar of peanut butter in the cart and he was like, why? You know this is going to end ugly.... And I said to him, because I have control, peanut butter doesn't have control over me. I have had only 2 tablespoons since Saturday and I feel like I am in control. So glad that I removed it for those few months!
I really love watching your videos and listening too your podcast. I love how you talk about keeping it real no bs. You are one of my top people I like too listen too. I'm glad you keep it real 💯 keep up the good work and bless your family
Fantastic video, Jordan. The whole creating more time and space between the craving and the behaviour is what Acceptance and Commitment Therapy calls 'surfing the urge'. Really love the points you've made and I will find them helpful! Just one thing - you didn't actually say what point 10 was... You described it but in a nutshell? I am already on your list and you're right; you don't fill up the inbox. Just the necessaries 😊 (I will disagree about the alcoholic bit. Professional and other experience, someone who suffers from the disease of alcoholism, cannot drink again if they want to maintain recovery. If they can moderate, then they are unlikely to have that dreadful addiction.)
Thank you for these 10 very helpful points. I will win this game of cravings , fat loss over my mindless eating habits! I think the 20 minute rule and not just grabbing the food immediately will help me a lot! If I am busy I don’t think of eating! 🙏🙏🙏🙌🏽
I have been listening to your podcasts on Spotify weekly, working my way through your older ones too. I love that i was able to fill in some of the blanks without even watching the video. Found some new helpful strategies to implement on my mini cut too. Thanks for all you do!
Excellent advice, I didn’t know a name for it but I love consequential thinking for getting up and doing stuff in general. I suffer chronic fatigue and joint pain so just starting can be hard but I know making myself walk helps tremendously once I warm my muscles up and stretch things out and it helps me become more alert for other things. Preplanning meals helps tremendously but sometimes I have to “make myself” plan knowing the benefit is worth it.
I figured those pants woulda made you an instant winner, bro. Thank you for all the free content you give us. It's been instrumental in getting me to where I am today. ❤️ Ya J.
20 minute rule before indulging a craving is great and I realize I do similar. I also drink some water in the meantime. And most importantly I am not starving myself because I eat a reasonable allowance, workout a bit, and don’t consider any food entirely off limits. To add, I eat a meal until I’m feeling satisfied but then wait an amount of time and boom I’m good
I totally agree with #10. I could see how it could be controversial because it probably doesn't work for a lot of people. But I've noticed that the more I eat junk food, the more I crave it. Whenever I've cut it out for a period of time, usually 4-8 weeks, afterwards I rarely have cravings. It's like a reset for me.
Perfect video to watch today! Since the time change in the US I feel like my eating is all shifted and didn’t realize that would be something I’d struggle with this week. But these tips will be so beneficial, especially for those of us who are midwesterners, since it’s getting cold and dark earlier and we all prolly want to just eat and hibernate lol
Wow these points and advice just clicked for me, thanks so much for this video I finally feel like I'm set up to be successful in losing the weight I've been struggling with this whole year.
Love your content so much. I’ve followed you on Instagram for awhile now & am always inspired by your posts. You legit have the cutest family ever, love your whole story❤️
Awesome video!! I love how you lay out the options to practice while giving room to make it your own. Apple doesn’t fit the bill? OKAY, an orange then 😂 The hyper focus on those kind of little intricacies steer away from the point or applying a strategy. Love what you do for the community! Thank you!!!
Just checked out your video. I love the content you share on Instagram and hope to learn more. The PB hit home. That’s my late night snacking go to and I don’t even know why I eat it so these steps are exciting me to try and stop that.
Great video….always love your content! However, I would have kept the reference to alcohol out of it (totally different beast). We need food to survive but we don’t need alcohol 💛
I like the tactic you’ve shared of waiting for 20 minutes, if I still want it after that I have it. If 20 minutes pass and I’ve moved on then I’m good to go.
I have been following you for awhile now and I love the information you give out! Me and my husband just got a blood pressure monitor because of you and we found out he has slightly high blood pressure that we had zero clue about because his doctor said he was healthy for his physical at the beginning of this year. We are working on healthy habits for him to help lower it.
This information is so valuable. I have had sugar as my main food group forever. These tools do work. I have applied these. Especially the 20 minute rule!
you have the best content. this will be so helpful!! i love your non click-baity approach to making health super approachable and accessible for everyone!
Your account is the best fitness account I’ve ever followed. No bullshit, common sense, practical info.
I just started following you and listening to your content. I have a lot of weight to lose so today I started your 1, 2, 3, principle from your How to lose 100 pounds or more video. This is fantastic. Really insightful! Helpful especially before the holidays!
Every word. EVERY SINGLE word spoke to me. This has been my EXACT thought process for many times I ate badly. Thanks Jordan!
I also love that you’re friends with Sean Lowe. That’s fantastic 😂
This video is just what I needed to hear this week! And the “that’s what she said” was a nice bonus 😅
Love the simple and easy way you describe these. Great content as usual.

❤ your no bullshit approach
Great video! I am a recovering alcoholic and was thinking these tips could also work well for people craving alcohol. I also think a real alcoholic can never drink alcohol ‘normally’. A heavy drinker can definitely re-calibrate and work on moderation, but an alcoholic can’t.
I agree - an alcoholic cannot drink at all if they want recovery. It just doesn't work like that.
I agree. This part takes away from the effective messages in the video
You got me.... I've signed up for your maling list, and subscribed to your channel and your podcast. Excellent content!
Thanks for your work J.
Jordan and Sean Lowe! The duo I didn't know I needed!

I have been seeing an R.D. for two months now (on the recommendation of my cardiologist) and she has not ever talked about any of these strategies! I really appreciate your content, thank you!
Love what you share!❤ 60 year old in Florida been following you for a while....love your podcasts 😊 learned so much from you ❤

The runner is from my country
Such practical information! Thanks Jordan for always breaking it down and keeping it simple!
Have been watching your videos for awhile now and the information is presented in a way that is very helpful and easy to follow!!

So insightful! It's almost like I already knew some of these tips, but hadn't put it together. This all makes sense!
Always great advice in your videos 👏🏼

This was EXTREMELY helpful, thank you! I love the Bright Line idea especially, and it doesn't sound like a restriction/negative.
great job presenting the info. :) I appreciate your videos and the info you share, it's done in an easy to follow way! Not everyone has that gift!
This is so helpful. I do need to implement a pause between my craving and action.
Thank you for continuing to be a reasonable health advocate!
The bright line concept just clicked with me! Thank you Jordan, as always excellent information, clearly explained.
Love this video! I've been implementing most of these since I began following you years ago, and they've helped tremendously!! Thanks for sharing your amazing knowledge! 🙌

Such good simple understandable advice
Haha love the fun competition before the info 👌🏼
Love your content so much. I’ve followed you on Instagram for awhile now & am always inspired by your posts. You legit have the cutest family ever, love your whole story❤️
I need to print this list out and stick it to my fridge and my snack cupboard :D
Great info! Very helpful and insightful. Plus the treadmill at the beginning was awesome!!
You ROCK Friend!! Your chanel/podcast FINALLY changed my mindset & FINALLY started dropping weight & "f*ing chillin' out"!! Thanks bunches!!😁
Taking in every single word of this. I struggle so much with cravings. Thank you for making this video!
Thank you for this information I struggle with sugar cravings I’m going to try these tips!
I love the competition in the beginning😂 I'm gonna have my husband and his engine shop buddies do this on base.
Love your straight forward education! That's not busy with noisy gimmicks, but science. You are awesome!
Great video….always love your content! However, I would have kept the reference to alcohol out of it (totally different beast). We need food to survive but we don’t need alcohol 💛
Thanks--this was really helpful. I especially love the idea of thinking about how I want to feel at the end of the day.
I like the tactic you’ve shared of waiting for 20 minutes, if I still want it after that I have it. If 20 minutes pass and I’ve moved on then I’m good to go.
Thank you for actionable steps and explaining the rationale. Makes total sense.
Thank you for being so real in your social media! :)
Two of my faves in one video! ❤❤
Thank you for sharing relatable, doable content
Love your content. No nonsense. Okay that’s not true- a lot of nonsense along with great content
Been listening to you for awhile. Love your content
Menopause is kicking my ass. I appreciate your content. Thank you for all your humor and common sense tips.
This information is so valuable. I have had sugar as my main food group forever. These tools do work. I have applied these. Especially the 20 minute rule!
you have the best content. this will be so helpful!! i love your non click-baity approach to making health super approachable and accessible for everyone!
I love all your videos always delivered with a sense of humor!
Just what I needed, everything sounds doable. Thank you
