Hi Brenon! Great tips!! But when you are first starting out ( like myself, just opened my Etsy shop this week) it seems like you do have to work everyday for hours to get things started and running. Still learning everything and learning how to organize my work so I don’t burn myself out. nonetheless great tips and thank you! Keep it going!
Hi Gisel! I'm glad you enjoyed the video! I agree, in the beginning stages there is a lot of ground work that you have to do, but I still think it is critical to have a balance of work and time-off to reset! For me personally, I've learned overworking doesn't allow me to get more done; it burns me out and I actually get less done in the long run. I need time to recharge in order to be more productive when I'm "clocked in." It can be different for everyone though. Keep up the great work and good things will happen! Let me know if you ever have any questions! Thanks so much for your support and comment! Do you have any video suggestions of what I should make next?
@@brenondopp Brenon! Thank you so much for replying! You are completely right, will work on a work balance soon as I also have my regular 9-5 as well so it is a bit overwhelming right now. I don't know if you have a video on this yet but I'm a little confused with payments to Printify. I have my credit card added to Printify but is there a way for Etsy to pay Prinity once there is a sale or do I have to make the payment on my credit card with the profit I make that's on Etsy? Sorry if this question is confusing and thank you!
It definitely takes up a lot of your time when you are working your regular job and trying to get started on Etsy! It will all be worth it though, and if you stick with it, it could replace your 9-5 job! I don't have a video on this yet, but I get this question often so I need to make one. Until I create a video, here's how it works: Because Etsy and Printify are 2 separate companies, your customer on Etsy purchases from your shop and then you purchase the product from your print provider as 2 separate transactions. When you make a sale, the money goes into your Etsy payment balance where it then gets deposited into your bank account depending on how you set up your deposit schedule. Technically, you are fulfilling the order with the buyer's money, but you won't get paid/have access to their money until Etsy deposits it into your bank account. If you're worried about not having the money upfront to pay the material and shipping costs for your first sales, you can set your deposit schedule to daily, but you do have to account for the processing time it takes for the money to actually be available in your bank account. Your customer pays you, and then you pay Printify to fulfill the order. When the order is submitted on Printify, Printify will charge your card on file or deduct the cost from your PayPal balance if you have that set up. I hope this helps!
Great Tips! I’m guilty of wasting time being “busy” rather than productive. I’ll try your tip about writing down everything I do in a day to try and keep focused on tasks that will move my business forward:) Great advice!

Hi! From what I understand, you'll need to double check the licensing for the different programs you're using (for example, Creative Fabrica has different licensing by item since the library is made up of a bunch of different designers). Some designs can be used as is and some will require you to add upon or change it from the original design before being able to sell it. Regardless, I always recommend combining different elements, text, and/or changing colors to make it your own design. This not only will protect you if you're unsure if you're allowed to use it as is or not, but it is also the best way to stand out on Etsy and have success! I hope this helps! Thanks for watching!

I love you says this 65 year old!
I closed my Etsy Shop last year and when I did, I deleted all my listings and removed everything. Now I want to re- open my Etsy Shop and wondering if you knew if they would allow me to since I no longer have 1 listing required to open?
Hi Janine! I'm not certain if they would require you to create new listing since you don't have any, but I would imagine you would need at least one to open again. I recommend following the steps of opening your closed shop to see what is required. Here is a link with the instructions: help.etsy.com/hc/en-us/articles/115015808568-How-to-Reopen-a-Shop-You-Closed?segment=selling You can also reach out to their help center for more questions related to this subject. I hope this helps! Thanks for watching!
