I used to watch this with my Dad. I still hear his voice calling me away from homework to watch it. Warm, warm memories. Thank you so much for posting this.
Stratford Johns was brilliant as Barlow. He had that personality that made people uneasy. Calm, friendly one minute, then suddenly he could be a nasty piece of work.

I've always found that if you watch vintage TV shows long enough, John Ringham turns up eventually. If not him then George A. Cooper.
Pretty good show. 👍👍👍🥰🤗

It's Frank Tate From
Emmerdale 🌄
The sideburns!
I like this show. I wish they made more shows like this without all the obnoxious music. If I wanted to listen to music I just turn the stereo on lol
I can't imagine hearing The Nice's renditio of America in a transport caf
Frank Tate 😃
He still looked the same
In Emmerdale 20 odd years later a great UK🇬🇧
Is that a c model ford??
Should have used all the same actors and called it SOFTLY SOFTLY Z CARS
I read that the tune to softly softly is the same as Z cars but upside down. Cant read music so cannot really say.
Why the 'flag' in the corner?
It blocks everything when it's in the middle.
@@robertwalker5521 Why is it there anyway ?
Water mark?
Why is the flag upside down? Someone in distress?
I find it very intrusive and unnecessary.

Its a great show...but my word what a dreary world it depicts. If that was a club what was the suicide rate.
BARLOW IS GOD.
NO he's not, he was a character in a TV series played by Stratford Johns - end of 😂
Never liked Stratford Johns character.......
I'm petty sure that is the point.
Johns was born to play the Charlie Barlow character: nothing else suited his looks and how he played the bully to perfection.
Hate the opening music
