WITH all the obvious HEAT i was a little confused re the timing of this. It seems this was shot in summer 1975 which, in itself, was hot!. the next year of course we had the FURNACE summer of '76, the one burned into so many people memories and the one so many of us wish would RETURN!!. Although VERY young i was starting puberty and was quite CONVINCED that i wanted to get "interviewed" (know worra mean?) by both Quilley AND Render in the back of a cop car!!!. arrh, those far off, summer days AND the wonderful blue shirts the coppers wore back then. We all knew that a local woman (hi, RITA!) was regularly "interviewed" late on a saturday night by a police sergeant but eventually the "enquiries" that Rita "helped him with" led to his being demoted to PC and "exiled" from our town and relocated to Cosham, near Portsmouth. Mind you, that's only a slight variation on a wh*re's mouth i suppose so it might have been "home from home". Course it was the 1970's, anything seemed to go back then!.

I just searched for this because my son (aged 50) just made a cup of hot chocolate, to which I responded "hot chocolate drinking chocolate" of cousre he supposed I was crazy. I was 14 years old when this was made. Obviously a very memorable ad.

Great ad - wouldn't be allowed now, not allowed to take the mickey or have a laugh anymore! I have just got a 1303, at the time of writing 52 years after it was first registered!!

Great Advert

I can understand why this was the final episode. Very poor script writing, incoherant plot, some extremely 'ham' acting and just utterly banal. There were some quite humerous moments but not enough to outweigh the calamity of this particular episode. Far too many 'wince' moments for me. It's not good.
