Nice iteration from Epi. The fretboard needs to be conditioned (but so do a lot of recent Gibsons), the top is not a maple cap but a veneer, but I guess it's quite a lot of guitar for the money. What are exactly the pickups ? Cheers
I paid $2,000 CDN with tax for an Epiphone Excellente acoustic and I feel like I robbed them it's that great!! I've loved Epiphone since I bought my Casino several years ago and also picked up an Epiphone Les Paul Jr a few years back which I play every day and can't put down! I also bought an Epiphone SG which compares with or is better than my old Gibson SG!! I also own a Fender Tele and am about to restore an old Mustang looking guitar which is killer!! I love Epiphone and the longer cork sniffers ignore them the better!! ") Hey Yogi, I loved your tv show back in the 60s & 70s I always agreed, you are absolutely smarter than the average bear! Hey what's Boo-Boo up to these days? Jack ~'()'~ Canada
Tokai Japan are a lot more expensive though, in fact the same price new as a secondhand Gibson LP so Tokai Japan have priced themselves out of the market IMHO. Who wants a Tokai when they can buy a Gibson 2nd hand for the same money.
@@Edward1312 An insecure idiot who needs the "G" logo to legitamise themselves as a guitar player? I doubt very much a used Gibson is cheaper than a new MIJ Tokai love rock, certainly not in my neck of the woods anyway.

It is a maple cap, but the flame is veneered.
USA Burstbucker 2 in the neck - Burstbucker 3 in the Bridge. Same pickups that came in Custom Shop Gibsons for years until the Custombuckers came out.
I got one new for $695 .... Fantastic Guitar.
