Was fitted at the KOP PXG facility and they were top notch! This was a very nice video to watch and I can attest to the customer focus at this facility which was exceptional. Fitted into Gen 6 XP and P combo and will be back in a year or so. PXG is an industry disrupter and I love them for that not to mention the exceptional technology and very competitive prices. Keep it up PXG !!
I was fitted with Evan for a new Gen 6 driver just a week ago. I can not tell you what a great experience it was. Evan is amazing and knew what I needed and moved in that direction until he found the setup that would work best for me. He then took the time to verify that all my Gen 3 irons were at the correct lie & loft. If all of the other fitters are as good as Evan you can not go wrong!!!
Just turned 52 this January and don’t quite have your swing speed. Been playing blades or a cub type iron most of my life and am at a crossroads. I know it’s time for more forgiveness and horsepower. Intrigued by the PXG lineup. My best to you on your journey!
I was fitted at PXG Detroit by Marcus. What a fantastic experience. Marcus fitted me for a Battle Ready 2 Bat Attack putter, the 0311 XF GEN6 driver, and the 0311P Gen6 irons with Dynamic Gold 105S and a 12-gram weight for a D3 swing weight. What a difference compared to the 2023 Titleist T200s with the Project X 6.0 at D3 swing weight. I was fitted for the Titleist, but the PXG experience was superior.
I agree Bryan, PXGs fitting experience is very good, especially in the USA. They are just starting to get fitting centres to the same standard here in the UK..
Great video, I also play the Gen3 with a stiff shaft and getting older and considering both those clubs . That was very helpful, those 0317 T look fantastic . Going for a fitting next week
He's really not a senior. But I have opened up to the idea of getting fit at PXG. But they need to have videos of regular weekend guys. I want to see the Schnok who hits his 7 iron 135, then see what he does with a well fitted "XP"
Elevate 95R is a pretty weak shaft for your 84 mph SS. Surprised you weren’t over powering them and turning them over. Just shows how everyone needs something different for their individual swings
Ive never been fit, but I do want to do it. However, I want to go for a boutique fitting where there is no brand loyalty. I've played mostly Titleist my whole career. Nothing against them but I just want to open the door to what another brand may offer. Im currently gaming Mizuno Jpx919 forged irons. I love them and hit them well, but i feel like im leaving something on the table. I played Titleist 690mb blades for all of 15 years plus. I loved them but I felt like I was missing out on forgiveness when that misshit would show up. In summary I would like to be in the best head and shaft combo i can possibly be in for me. Fit specifically to my needs. No more off the rack stuff
Your numbers with the 0317T and new shaft/weight combo were fantastic! Did you end up in a combo set, or go with the 0317T all the way through? I'm in the 0211's now. 0317T are something to aspire to.
Winter Golf in the UK is not great these days, playing off Fairway mats on usually wet golf courses in cold weather. So I'm going to get them in the spring. Defo going 0317T through the whole set though 👍
Does anyone know is the gen 7 p is a bigger club head size than the P770 as I currently think the p770 is a little too hard to hit for my skill level. I was thinking of the gen7 p but not sure between the XP variant. Looking for something with a head size of around the P790
Hi John, Did briefly discuss graphite shafts but the thought was they were not right for me right now but its coming down the line for sure. I think all fittings are done with a 7 iron and this was the same, agree it would be better to try other irons but didnt feel like I didnt get a great fitting in this case
Hi, The fitting was an hour long so the video is an edited version of the session. Yes we tried regular and stiff shafts in 3 different weights over 2 different sets of irons. Also with many different weights in the heads of the irons. The 95g regular felt the best to me and had the tightest dispersion.. The heavier weight in the head got the spin numbers to where we wanted them to be for summer links golf courses
If im being fitted, and the fitter doesn't know the technological differences between club generations , I'm asking for another fitter. Gen 3 and 4 had Xcor, gen 5 and 6 have Xcor2. He said something about gen 3 being soft, and gen 4 introducing polymer injection. Gen 3 and 4 both had Xcor. That by itself would make me question the fitting. It seemed like you enjoyed the fitting, but come on man...a PXG fitter should know the main differences between club gens. At least read the site info before fitting someone.

Absolutely love their irons Johnny and yes the service i experienced in Philadelphia was 2nd to mone.
Thank you so much for coming in! It was an absolute pleasure working with you and I hope you hit them long and straight!!!!🎉
You did a great job man, very impressed..
Be back in Fall 2024 👍

Thank you for the comment and supporting the channel.
Golf life begins at 50 😁
Going for a full bag fitting here in Florida this week. Can't wait !
Im sure you will have a great time Charles, thanks for the comment
I will be scheduling my fitting in Orlando very soon. Looking forward to the experience.
It will be great and informative Kevin, enjoy

Enjoy your fitting, the 0317T were the only model that came close to the Gen 3. Thanks for the comment
Just got back this weekend from Philadelphia. Stayed in a place called Lansdale , didn't play golf though unfortunately.
I was pretty close , 24 miles away in Havertown
That was a great fitting. I was impressed.
The fitter did a great job, see how he adjusted the fit when i told him i play firm links golf, very impressive

Yes a young senior. 😁
I'm sure PXG do a great job with all handicaps.
Thanks for the comment
They are fantastic!!
Both the irons and the staff John 👍
Love it! Can’t wait to get mine. But as a fitter personally, how do you not have modus 105?!😅
I was a bit surprised by that but the shaft we went with felt great

100% right, it's very individual to each person and swing traits

I'm the same until recently I've been an off the rack guy.
The whole fitting process is fascinating to me
Hi, you should try KBS PGI graphite shafts, it’s fantastic. Thank you for this very interesting vidéo. Enjoy.
I'd be interested to try them for sure..
Great video 👍
Cheers Dave

I've never used TM irons so I can't help 😞
I'm sure someone will know the answer though
What shaft & flex did you end up with ?. I use TT Elevate 95 S flex , love them.
TT Elevate Reg 95R
@@ScratchAt50 still have reg 95's now you've got your carry distances up, looking at your carry distances would have thought you'd need stiff?
Great video, I wonder did they offer you any graphite shafts during your fit like the MMT ? did you only try the 7 iron?

@@ScratchAt50 I appreciate your reply, I moved from Modus to MMT, great feel and dispersion, PXG have them at £15 upgrade
you were not in Philly you were in my old home town King of Prussia, home of the world's largest Shopping Mall
Yes indeed Chris the PXG store is in King Of Prussia, had a great week with my brother..
Hi I know you loved the gen 3's but how do gen 3 P's compare to gen 4's ? my budget only goes that far lol. Thanks.
Performance very similar but the feel off the head on gen 3s is far better for me
Thanks was hoping you'd say that.@@ScratchAt50
Dial-up great vid
Cheers for the comment, it was a great session and the service was very good
Did you try a stiff flex in the same weight as the regular that you ended up with? If so, what was better about the regular?

This was just a fraction of the fitting which was 90mins long.
The fitting was very good and I was very happy with the staff across the whole store
If they really thought their irons were so good, then they would compete with the other brands
It's what I (the customer) think of their irons that counts.
Every brand thinks their clubs are the best.
@@ScratchAt50 true. As a customer, I want choice
Did he take you down to Broad Street? Oh wait, you're still alive so he didn't. 😉
You were only about 15 hours away. You should have said something. 🤣
Im still alive and kicking Bill...
I love PXG but they are over priced. Almost all 2nd market for their club even if it's 1 season old is like half
They have different priced options now. They are worth the money in my opinion but that is always a personal opinion as they have helped my game.
That means you are a 4
That’s a pretty bad fitting.
Remember it was over an hour long, this is a edited short version.
It was a very good fitting 👍
