I do love dandelions a lot, everything about them. More colors, more of them beautiful plants to grow, to love, and to eat. What's there not to love about these gems.??
Wait... Orange, black, copper colored dandelions?!? I've got your white and pink ones already, I am begging for orange and black ones! I am obsessed with black flowers.
I am one of those people who loves to see those beautiful little dandelion flowers popping up in my yard. If you make coffee, you can't use a drip coffee maker. They have to be boiled in an old fashioned percolator. For best flavor, put the roasted ground up roots into a large sieve. Immerse it in a pot of gently boiling water until it reaches your desired strength. Mine has a rich, complex flavor with chocolate undertones.
We do offer seeds for pink www.rareseeds.com/catalog/product/view/id/5018/ the white www.rareseeds.com/catalog/product/view/id/5020/ and yellow www.rareseeds.com/store/vegetables/greens/french-dandelion
I just started my seeds for the pink and white dandelions. Please try to find the other colors of them. I'd love to grow orange dandelions since orange is my favorite color.
I saw the annual Rubra Pink from Europe, and the Italian one (didn't show the color of the flower), but i didn't see the Chinese varieties. Where can i learn about these and are the annuals or perennials?
I had a hippie woman sitting in my yard eating the dandelions. I went out to make sure she wasn't needing a paramedic, too drunk or stoned and she looked at me and chirped "I bet you think I'm strange". She then preceded to tell me the history and uses of the plant. I let her carry on till she was short of breath and advised her that we used them too but not the ones where the dog crapped.
@@heidimisfeldt5685 Too much oxalic acid is harmful. Fortunately, unlike sorrel, spinach and chard, dandelion greens are somewhat low in the oxalic acid that can interfere with your body's ability to absorb calcium.
Their long tap roots bring calcium up to the surface. They’re a very beneficial little plant. Plus the bees love them.
I never knew dandelions could look so pretty!

Please find seeds for all the varieties...
Will these be available in the 2020 catalog? I hope so!
I was thinking about the same, I've been looking for an organic alternative since I don't trust anything growing wild!!
I wish they would sell the many varieties of dandelion
These flowers are great to bake into your bread recipes!
They are good in soup also.
@@mrjones4249 Thx ....will try that too!
@@houndjog just remember the leaves must be cooked longer than mustard or collards.

Hmmm, so what's on offer in your website is the standard French Dandelion. Can you bring us some of what you're extolling here?
We will be offering it for our 2020 selection! :)
what is the cold hardiness zone for these two I have the seeds but I haven't planted them yet
They should be hardy as far down to zone 3-4
Look interesting, might try considering the bitterness is usually from oxalic acids. Less bitterness means it could have less of that
Bitter vegetables cleanse toxins out of the liver. Great stuff to know and make use of, in this polluted and toxic world we all share.

Sorrel is sour but high in oxalic acid so bitterness is maybe not an indicator of oxalic acid levels, perhaps?
Where do I buy whole seed catalog
All Hail the Dandelion, Resistance is futile!
Live dandelions!
Interesting.
I’ve heard about black dandelions for years but I’ve never been able to find any information about it other than people swearing that they exist.
