- Anna Von Boetticher is a German freediver and author. During a freediving competition in Dean's Blue Hole - one of the world's deepest - she played with the sand falling down from the beach into the hole.

I wonder why the sand fall doesn´t fill the Blue Hole after thousands of years..There must be a passage to the open sea at the bottom. Somebody send a R.O.V. to explore it !

It always ends badly. You cannot tease God.
we're not teasing anyone: statistically, freediving is quite safe. A lot of the education focuses on safe practices and danger avoidance. This is one of those cases where some people's knee-jerk reaction is to yell "Danger!", but when you look into it, it's actually quite good for you.
@@DaanVerhoeven Why do this? Not enough adrenaline? Or too much health? Very soon, health will answer this question, but the answer will not be in the affirmative. So sorry.
@@aleksandrdobrodom1496 really, do some research into the health benefits of freediving. For example, it's the opposite of an adrenaline sport, our heart rates drop significantly when we submerge. It's very peaceful - one of the reasons we do it. Plus free from gravity, it feels like you're flying. Don't let your prejudices hold you back from experiencing some of life's real riches.

Anna von Boetticher I love watching you free dive, Anna!! You’re amazing! I’ve always wanted to scuba but never had the money to learn. Free diving wasn’t anything I’d heard of when I was younger and now I have severe asthma and can’t scuba or free dive. I wish I was a whale or dolphin. Maybe in a future life. Keep diving and keep inspiring!

There are swimming schools who specialise in teaching people with phobias - i used to work in one. Find an instructor you trust, and take it very easy, little steps at a time, and you will find the joy in swimming.
