  • Reggie Jackson triggers Racists with the Truth of this country
    #reggiejackson
MLB brought the long-neglected history of the Negro Leagues to the forefront Thursday with its game at Rickwood Field in Birmingham, Alabama. That included appearances from some of baseball's Black legends and a loud reminder of every ugly thing that happened around them.
During an appearance on the Fox Sports pregame show, Hall of Famer Reggie Jackson was asked by Alex Rodriguez about his emotions returning to Birmingham, where he played in the minor leagues. Over the next three minutes, Jackson recalled the indignity and outrage of just trying to exist as a Black baseball player in Alabama.

They don't like their face being put into the poop. They want everyone to forget the horrors they caused on a group of people due to the color of their skin. These same horrors happen presently, and nothing is done. Where are the White people that would stand up and fight against such wickedness? It seems they've been breeded out or they're too cowardice due to the fear of the repercussions that would befall them. Either way, something gotta give.

@@larrys4618I always find it fascinating that racists have put the onus on the ones who suffer racism to stop complaining. It's always victim mindset. It reminds me of those who blame SA victims saying "shouldn't have wore that, got drunk, or acted like a hoe." They never blame the one that caused the assault.

Oh, they take it every day ,but they don't care because they are taught hate, then they use the Bible as a prop to hide it. Even God rested, but Satan never does. The attempt to destroy the innocent to impoverish a group of people, to segregate and discriminate against a group, is all an abomination of God. The Bible even states that the penalty for kiddnapping is death. Far more kidnapped Africans died during the slave trade than Jewish individuals died by Nazi Germany, and that's been despicted far more herindous. The Atlantic Slave trade lasted hundreds of years longer and had a devastating impact on the African civilizations . Those enslaved individuals were kept in concentration camps, which is another name for plantations they were forced to perform hard labor under the cruise conditions. Now, they want those to believe it wasn't that bad when it was. Rape and torture were the signs of the times, and if one thinks that isn't what they are referring to, then you are in for a rude awakening if Trump is reelected.

I’m a 70s kid from Georgia. Yes, they were still calling us the N word at restaurants and refused to serve us. We used to have to make sandwiches and drinks wrapped in newspaper and stop on the sides of roads to use the bathroom just to prevent these confrontations. I went to college at UCF and we couldn’t eat in Oviedo with racist waiters and managers discriminating against us. How many times we’ve been harassed by police thinking that if we called the police to provide justice that we would be benefited. If you’ve never experienced it, call yourself lucky. It wasn’t until Clinton came into office that the government began to pretend to act against these people. And I don’t think he really cared, just politically correct at that time. Which is when Maher and other people who were bothered began to fight against political correctness in the 90s.

Missed the forest through the trees. But I’ll humor this attempt to seem interested, without slandering a franchise. Just know that it was happening nationwide and there were lawsuits in the 90s because of it. Just know that you should not continue to see other people’s lives through your own lens. People are too judgmental when they feel superior.

I wouldn't stand with Israel right now. I don't support genocide.

It's 50 years, not 30 years. I'm Gen-X, and the grade school I went to in 1979 was just being integrated. Reggie had a candy bar named after him that I liked, but they took it off the market for reasons unknown (it was popular by the way). Bring a 70s kid, you know what racism looks like.
