I've been seeing the question about the cable used in the beginning and I too came here with the same problem. I wanted to connect two fans that were plugged into the 6-port rgb hub, and then plug that hub into the JCorsair1 header. The answer is that the cable is proprietary and Corsair ONLY sells it with the Lighting Node Pro and the Commander Pro. They do NOT sell it alone. However, lots of 3rd party places do. Here is a link where you can buy it (I just bought mine there). www.ebay.com/itm/Corsair-RGB-Fan-LED-Hub-Cable-12-inch-Corsair-Style/372475062929?hash=item56b93e6a91:g:OTAAAOSwVEVb3f3H Again, this should only work if you have a corsair header on your mobo, otherwise you need to unfortuntely shell out for the overpriced lighting or commander pro.

The cable that connects the hub and node pro together is the cable that can connect to the JCorsair location on the Mobo. I noticed that I have two jcorsair spots on my Mobo but only one is the right one. They are very different from each other, the one that needs to be used will clip/ locks in place. The other one is more like the fan power hub. Make sure you do not use the node pro and don’t install icue software if you want to use mystic light. Do these fans light up immediately after the computer is first started or do they need to be configured in the application first? I have a problem because mine is spinning but not lighting (it's my new computer and I don't have Windows working yet so I wonder)
By my logic the 6 fan hub is simply expanding the number of RGB control ports (JCorsair) on the motherboard from 1 to 6. In theory, a single LL120/140 fan could be installed directly to the JCorsair pin header and function properly. I have read many posts claiming a Lighting Node Pro is required to activate the fan's RGB LEDs but MSI's own manual states the provided JCorsair pin header is compatible with Corsair brand LED strips and fans. Am I incorrect in assuming that someone only wanting to install a single LL1xx fan does NOT need any sort of controller between the JCorsair pin header and the fan?
I have the exact same question, as far as I remember connecting the LL120 to the RGB header on my mobo (ROG-STRIX-X470-F-GAMING) didnt work.... but I see them connecting the controller to the "5V D G" pins...my mobo specifications say "2 x Aura RGB Strip Header(s)" so that might be the issue.... I bought the controller and also came without a cable... what a mess!
Wait, so the fans represented in this video are LL120s? Also, you can’t use a lightning node led strip at the same time or is there a jcorsair splitter that makes it possible? Also are you able to sync the aio fans with the rest or do they need to be connected to the pump?

I'm setting mine up now does buying the additional wire still allow you to control the color of the lights or do I need the Lighting Node Pro to do that?
Yes you are right ! They show where to put the first fan cable on SYS_FAN3 but they don't show for the next 5 fans ! To us to find available slots ? And they dont show there are 4 pins on the hub. My corsair fans have only 3 pins :-)

Wait... So does this mean that if I have RGB Fans, I need to connect the RGB headers to the RGB hub, and each fan header to the motherboard? Which means if I want more fans than my board can allow I also need another fan splitter?
