As a 100% disabled vet. I love everyone. But only vets get to talk this level of crap and be 100% right. I really wish more vets where in my area. Cause I am struggling. I will make it. Take care bro. Love you. You help a great many people that people forget about. Thank you
@@AmericansLearn the whole Carolus Rex album is great and I suggest that you follow the albums tracklist since it depicts the rise and fall for the Swedish empire. Just be aware that the album came about in both an English and a Swedish version and the fourth song En livstid I krig (A lifetime of war) should be wieved with the live version at Gothemburg with CC on, it's epic!
Excellent reaction. My dad was in a 155 Long Tom battery providing fire support for the Third Army during Patton's dash to relieve Bastogne and said he had never been so cold in his life as during that winter.
Funny Band of Brothers story - during the 50th ann. for the Battle of the Bulge they had a big reenactment in PA. We had a bunch of E co. vets visiting. So we had a real EPIC Prop Blast Bash too. at some point as we were drinking & Singing 1 of our guys comes up to "Wild Bill" and says hey Bill i am going over to visit the area of the line you were in , is there anything you want me to bring back for you" Bill lowers his beer looks him straight in his eyes and says "Yeah, if you could find my leg that would be great" then he smiled and lifted his beer, we all laughed and cheered and toasted to Bill's leg. also toasted to Hinkel. those were some great time. Sadly that Scalawag passed away in 2014
Band of Brothers is a great book concerning the WW II history of the 101ST Airborne but an excellent book about the history of what actually happened during the Battle of the Bulge is 'A Time For Trumpets' by Charles B. MacDonald, an official WW II Army historian and was a company commander of an infantry unit (2nd Inf Div) involved in the defense of Elsenborn Ridge. He had access to both the US and German commanders right at the end of the war and his book is very well referenced where he got his quotes and materials from. A must read for anyone who wants to learn more about what really went on during the Battle of the Bulge.
Their actually is a proper war game that simulates everything throughout all known documentation of ww2 that out of 2000 hours of game play the Germans only won once! Said game is "Gary Grisbys war in the east 2".
Third part of the trilogy is coming soon as I am sure a lot of people are aware, Masters of the Air. One can only hope that it comes even close to the masterpieces that are Band of Brothers and The Pacific. I'm with Joakim here, second time around I started appreciating the Pacific even more than Band of Brothers, probably because the Pacific War is so forgotten considering it was literally hell on earth, fighting and dying for useless rocks in the ocean.
i agree, i literally saw in my recommended for a "what if Germany won WW2" video uploaded yesterday, its tiring. i prefer 2 other questions instead, ones ive thought about a lot. 1) what if one of the three superpowers stayed neutral or got knocked out. USSR + UK = VICTORY BUT TOOK LONGER. USA + USSR = POSSIBLE GERMAN VICTORY OR STALEMATE AGAINST USSR. UK + USA = VICTORY BUT TOOK LONGER. 2) what if each superpower fought alone until it couldn't anymore. UK = TAKES ONE OF GERMANY'S 16 PEACE OFFERS, COULDN'T WIN BUT ALSO COULDN'T LOSE. USSR = POSSIBLE LOSS, POSSIBLE FIGHT UNTIL STALEMATE. USA = VICTORY IF GERMANY INVADES, LOSS IF IT TRIES TO INVADE EUROPE. almost forgot, if anyone coming across this wonders my logic on this, its that the British empire geographically was the connection between all three powers, if Britain wasn't involved then the USA and USSR would be cut off from each other. then the USA would have to try to first cross the Atlantic and invade either Africa or Britain on its own to get somewhere to launch an invasion of mainland Europe. i assume japan may lose as it did but if Britain was knocked out quick enough then research for the atomic bomb would be finished much later then it was. lastly Germany loses if its invading the USA, its only chance would be if the US didn't buildup its military like it would after pearl harbor, and Germany did a surprise attack while bolstered by the British navy and empire, otherwise the USA cant be touched. USSR may lose/stalemate simply because Stalin desperately needed the fronts the USA and UK opened up in the last years of the war.

2:34 Here it’s clear that this is Eastory’s map making style and he does in fact help them with the maps including on Indy’s ww2 channel.

The outro is Dead Man's Waltz.
