WHY THE OPPOSITION IS WRONG ABOUT THE CAA
1. Opponents say that the CAA makes religion the basis of granting citizenship, which they say is against Article 15 of the Constitution. Article 15 only applies to citizens and states that no citizen of India can be discriminated against - it does not apply to migrants who are not citizens of India. Citizenship by birth is different from citizenship by nationalization. The latter has always been considered an act by the grace of a country. It is clear that giving citizenship to only non-Muslims and not Muslim migrants does not violate the country’s constitution.
2. Opponents say that the CAA states that every Muslim citizen of India should prove his citizenship. That is nonsense, as there is no such draft rule. The CAA is only applicable to migrants, not citizens.
3. Pakistan, Afghanistan, and Bangladesh are Islamic Republics where minority rights are not recognized and minorities are persecuted. So, it is a valid reason for India to offer these oppressed minorities citizenship as there is a common bond, and they have no other country to go to.
4. If the CAA extends to Muslims, any Muslim in Pakistan or Afghanistan can say he is discriminated against and can move to India and claim citizenship. This could theoretically include a significant number of ISI spies, ISIS, and Taliban terrorists.
5. Some say that CAA should have taken in Muslim communities like the Ahmadiyya, who are discriminated against in Pakistan. There are between 2 and 5 million Ahmadiyya in Pakistan, so should India take them all in? None of the Ahmadiyya leaders stood up for minorities when they were attacked. So, should CAA then be extended to include all discriminated people from around the world?

Aren’t those who came during partition already given the citizenship? Of course they are given. You can see the Parsi, Muslims, Hindus who got scattered during partition are citizens since ages. It is only those who have migrated in recently illegally that are not given citizenship. And they shouldn’t be given. I completely agree with Kejriwal. The game to blame the LG wudnt work in Punjab. A state cant sustain on freebies alone. You can keep borrowing but for how long? How are you going to pay it back? It is the same that happens in kerala where the govt goes to court to get loan after loans. People will be happy for a while because they are getting freebies but that puts the state into a debt which will be disastrous in the long run🤦🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️. Another big worry with kejariwal is that he is hand in glove with the khalistanis and that is a threat to India. It is only a matter of time before the guy is going to get exposed.
